"Nothing fights harder than a predator with their back to a wall - and the Kushari had a pretty big wall at their backs."
In Kushari myth, the End War was the ultimate battle between the shadow realm and the light; it was a war they were meant to lose. A war where the forces of light were overwhelmed at every turn. Their greatest weapons were useless against the endless hordes pitted against them, their fortress-cities helpless against the massive demons and hell-forges sent to tear down their walls. Legend holds that the gods themselves intervened, and that the goddess Hitaasu sacrificed herself to destroy much of the Deskar'oth - the dark ones. Legend also holds that the gods burnt the surface of Kushaa'vo with hellfire afterwards, burning away the shadows.
For generations the Kushari dismissed the legends as nothing more than a story whispered around campfires to scare little children. Unfortunately, as with all tall tales, there was truth sprinkled in with the fantasy.
Over ten thousand years ago, in the days of the Old Republic, the Kushari were discovered by a colony fleet sponsored by the C.A.R.D. corporation and commanded by Knights of the Jedi Order. A few remnants of the Dark Jedi had concealed themselves aboard that fleet and managed to seize control of several vessels; a battle broke out and the fleet was forced to make planetfall on Kushaa'vo. The Kushari at the time were advanced and highly civilized; they had hyperspace gates, far-flung colonies, energy weapons, and much more! They were by and large a peaceful race, though, and were ill-prepared to handle a sudden incursion. While the surviving Jedi did their best to warn the Kushari of the danger posed by the Dark Jedi, the Kushari Empire was sluggish to react and the Dark Jedi had plenty of time to secure a foothold.
The Dark Jedi used alchemy to twist Kushari and wildlife alike into obedient thralls; monstrosities suitable for their purpose and nothing else. They forced huge sects of Kushari force users to align with them, and began to take vast tracts of land. What began as a frightening incursion quickly turned to an all-out war of terrifying proportions... A war that ended with a Pyrrhic victory of epic proportions, the Kushari detonating a hyperdrive on their homeworld to annihilate the bulk of the Dark Jedi's forces and then using nuclear fusion weapons to systematically annihilate all sentient life on their world. Artificial life forms - the Titans - were left behind to guard over the cryogenic tombs the Empire left behind; they were responsible for reseeding the world with life after many thousands of years had passed.
The Titans carefully shepherded the development of the refounded Kushari race, but the Kushari Elders' constant squabbling and infighting over the sharing of knowledge ultimately infuriated the Titans and caused them to withdraw, forcing the race to start more or less from scratch. The history of the world was lost to the ages; only the Titans knew the truth of things... And the Deskar'oth who'd survived the nuclear apocalypse and were waiting patiently to rise again, this time without any pesky Jedi to foul their plans.

The End War is a condensed, two to three thread series of stories that tell the tale of the second End War - the cataclysmic event that brings an end to the Kushari's story in this timeline. This mini-arc opens with the descendants of the original Deskar'oth making themselves and their forces known, and ends with.. Well, it ends with one hell of a bang.
The opening stroke is a battle on the frozen fields of the Kushari colony-world of Damaros, where Commonwealth and Federation forces alike will be hit and hit hard by the forces of the Deskar'oth. The Mandalorian colonists (living in Kushari space since the evacuation of Mando space a long time ago in the current timeline) living there will be forced to take up arms again to defend their new homes - or to survive long enough to get outta dodge.
Details are sparse but that's deliberate; I'm going to scale things depending on how much interest this garners. I'm not going to make the same mistake I made last time and let a single thread get too big; four people tops. If there's way more interest than that, I'll run a second thread concurrently. There are zero limits on participation - I'm going to go ahead and say that, at some point, the galaxy figured out where Kushari space is and any particularly determined individual could find their way there. This is a pure PvE thread, so while it doesn't matter if you're a Dark Sider or a Lighty Whitey you do have to participate on team 'good guy'.
Also, there's a very real chance that you could die horribly if you screw up badly. This is a no-holds-barred, end of the world-style PvE story arc where everything will be coming apart at the seams and there'll be no saving it. If you wanna watch an entire society implode, now's your chance to do it.
Post interest/concerns/questions/hate mail below. Or send carrier pigeons. Either way works.
