Tatooine - 2100 Hours Local Time

The familiar stench of scum and villainy hung over the crowded Mos Eisley Cantina. The Twin Suns of Tatooine had settled and the famous music played by the house band filled the bar and surrounding street.

It appeared to be a night just like any other, but under the surface, there was an unexplained tension.

No one is sure how the fight broke out. It would be something argued about for many years to come.

Two things were certain.

The Band never quit playing music throughout the brawl, and anyone who was able to remember it in the morning would describe it as one of the most legendary bar fights in Galactic History.

Renald was sitting in at the bar in the cantina. He was nursing a Corellian Ale. Renald had come to this backwater planet to lay low for a while. And quite frankly he couldn't have picked a better place. Renald blended in well with the seedy crowd. A crowd that had once been loud but calm. That all changed when the fight broke out. It started with a bounty hunter picking a fight with a Hutt, not a smart idea. The fight had now begun to spread.

Renald was preparing to take a sip when the Rodian who seemed to be one of the Hutt's cronies backed into Renald. Renald's drink spilled all over his front. He was a bit inebriated and in a bad mood to begin with. "Son of a bitch," Renald slid off his stool and with a "hey you" got the Rodian's attention. As the rodian turned around Renald cocked his right arm back and punched. Either Renald's reflexes were a bit slow or the Rodian saw the punch coming but the alien ducked. Right behind the Rodian was a woman sitting at the bar. Unfortunately she was right in the path of Renald's punch. He tried to back as much as he could but it was too late. This woman looked like a fighter. Renald had a bad feeling about this.

Briza had been at the cantina to down a few drinks before returning home. She hadn’t been out drinking in quite a while, and she had decided to loosen up a bit. The Mandalorian had left her armor back home, deciding to go out in regular civilian attire. She had no desire to draw any attention to herself. She kept to herself, swirling around a mixed drink in front of her. Her eyes were trained on the local HoloNet broadcasting a sports match. She wasn’t a big fan of the teams, but it was entertaining regardless.

She heard some commotion coming from her side. Briza turned right in time to see a punch come directly her way. She did not see the Rodian at all, making her believe she was the intended target. Her eyes widened, but she was caught off guard. Briza’s jaw tightened as the punch collided harshly against her shoulder. If the man thought this would fly, he was dead wrong.

Wincing in slight pain, Briza reacted immediately. Before the man could withdraw his arm, she dropped her right hand and grasped a hold of his forearm from the bottom. As he would have thrown his weight into the punch, she used it to her advantage. Briza would then bodily yank him down and let gravity do the work in slamming the side of his head against the edge of the bar she was sitting it in one fluid motion. She rose to stand as she did this, preparing for a full fledged fight.

Luckily for Renald he had started to pull his punch back when he realized he was going to hit an innocent bystander. As a result it meant he had a bit more control in his fall then he would have had otherwise. It was also a stroke of luck the woman let gravity do the work after the initial yank. Renald tucked slightly as he fell the back of his head skimming the counter. Apparently he had scraped against broken glass as he could warm blood at the back of his scalp. He tried to catch himself with has hand but it slipped in his drink on the floor causing him to fall hard.

The grab combined with fall had caused Renald's adrenaline to spike and he was out of his haze. As he fell he had enough awareness to see that the woman now stood on the other side of her stool in a fighting stance with the stool between them. Renald kicked hard to send it crashing into the woman's legs. This gave him time to get up. Renald decided to continue with the stool theme. Before the woman could do anything Renald reach back, twisting his torso only slightly so he was still facing his opponent, with his right hand and grabbed the stool he had been sitting on. He then brought it around from right to left and caught hold of it with his left hand. Renald followed through with the right to left swing aiming the main body of the stool legs at the woman's right side.

Briza had the most unamused look on her face imaginable as the idiot unceremoniously fell on his ass, and then had the audacity to try and kick a stool at her. The highly trained soldier simply side stepped as the stool fell beside her. His plan foiled, this instead only allowed Briza more time to watch him with curiosity.

It was as if he were moving at a snails pace, thinking that kicking a stool as he toppled to the floor would buy him enough time to get up, pick up a stool, not fall on his ass again, aim said stool and beat Briza with it. And he expected Briza to stand around picking her nose as he did so.

With a sigh, the moment the first stool missed, Briza rounded the corner to close the gap. As he reached for his own stool, she swiftly kicked him in the side of the ribs. This would happen right as he was reaching for the stool. Her kick was quick, drawing back as quickly as it happened to ensure he couldn’t attempt to grab her leg. If the moron didn’t get up, she would continue these short kicks to his side until he found a better strategy than using bar stools as defense. And if he attempted to still go that route, her timing ensured she kicked him while he was on the ground, meaning the stool would be at waist height. If it came to attack her, she could simply grab it and keep it harmlessly at bay with her hand.

Whelp the stool into the legs trick wasn't going to fool this woman. She was also fast. Renald was not able to complete the grab for the stool. Fortunately he had grabbed it with his right hand first. Which means his left arm was in a position to absorb some of the blow from the kick; otherwise he would have broken ribs at the least. Instead he figured he probably ended up with a nasty bruise. He was knoked back to the ground but got himself on his right arm. Renald didn't have time to think about pain.

While Renald was not a trained fighter like the woman he still had his pilot's reflexes. And he saw his moment just as the woman began to with draw her kick. It was too fast for him to grab but in order to kick the woman would likely be off balance. Renald was on his right side when he swept his left leg from front to rear. Since the woman had closed the gap and was in the process of a kick, Renald hoped to sweep her off her feet. After completing the leg sweep Renald rolled once and the got up. In the process of getting up Renald grabbed another one of the cantina's brawling patrons and flung the surprise man toward the woman just incase he hadn't tripped her up. He then readied himself in a fighting position. Both his fists in a guard position.

Briza cursed as she felt him sweep her leg. She fell straight down, but was not caught off guard. Part of being a warrior also meant learning how to fall. Briza quickly sprang up just in time to have an actual patron thrown at her. She ducked out of the way but scowled at Renald. This was how he wanted to play it. She suddenly had a terrified expression on her face.

“Oh my god! I can’t believe you just spiked that girl’s drink!”

Almost instantly, a few of the nearby patrons turned their attention to Renald. While Briza paused to finish her drink, Renald was now getting assaulted by 3 different men. She decided she would resume their quarrel once he got out of this newly orchestrated predicament.

"I didn't---" Renald was about say when three men turned on him. "Kriff" he mutter as he realized any attempt to deny the allegations was going to fall on deaf ears. The man in front of Renald attacked first with a straight punch aimed straight at his face. Renald blocked it but only deflected the punch that came from man's other hand. The fist slammed into his orbital bone. Renald didn't know whether anything was broken but he knew he'd have a massive black eye. He was about to retaliate when the second man jumped him from behind. The man grabbed Renald in a choke hold and tried to pull him backwards. From the way the guy made the move Renald could tell he was shorter than himself.

Renald decided to use this height difference to his advantage. He quickly bent down, catching the man by surprise. Renald then grabbed the man by the rear of his collarand lifted up ranking the man forward and over his head. All of this happened quickly and simultaneously. The result was Renald sent the second man slamming into the first. The two fell crashing into a table. Renald then turned to fact the third man who seemed to prefer to bide his time. Now knew why. The man was huge and figured he could easily take Renald by himself. And he was probably right. The man took a swing and Renald ducked, and had to keep ducking. He was surprised by how fast the big man was and if he didn't think of something fast he was going to get laid out.

Renald dodged a blow and as he did he found his solution. Renald took a few swift punches at the man. The man back peddled as Renald went on the offensive. The man's backward motions stopped when he bumped hard into something. The big man had bumped into one of the only patrons who hadn't gotten pulled into the fight. And probably for good reason. The big man turned around and looked up to see a Wookie towering over him. The Wookie's drink was spilled all over his front. With a roar the Wookie lifted the big man off the floor and threw across the room.

With his problem solved Renald headed back over to the woman he had accidentally punched. He was hoping not to get in a fight again. Before the woman had a chance to immediately turn on him again Renald spoke "Sorry about the misunderstanding. Can I buy you a drink?" Renald gave her his best smile.
