Deep within hyperspace an X-Wing flew on. Inside, Forim Viridux sat at the cockpit with Pal in the back waited to come out of lightspeed. Their destination was somewhere the Mytaranor sector, to contact with the Jedi Fleet. A few days ago, as an officer in the rebel forces, he reported the pirate skirmish at planet Ione that he and his crew took part in. With the unexpected aid of the two Jedi padwans, Adun and Raya, they defeated the space brigands and gained Ione's allegiance to the Rebellion in the process.

Yet during that engagement, the Jedi duo acted quite unstable and reckless in their actions, especially during the intial phase. Adun behaved like he wanted to die and nearly did. Raya on the other hand, displayed the traits you would find in more common with dark side users. Not only that, he sensed the darkness in them as well, even with his extremely limited force training. Beside that, there was the failed attack on Fonder that was blamed on another Jedi and rumors of interal trouble within their ranks.

Adding all those factors in, it concerned the Duros commander, sometime ago, his shattered faith in the peacekeepers was restored with some help. He hated to see the Order lose what trust they salvaged with the Rebellion. The new higher-ups were gaining the impression that at best the fugitive peacekeepers were a distraction for the Sith and at worst a lability to the war effort.

Forim didn't want to accept that notion. Sure he was quite aware they weren't perfect but he scearched his feelings and believed they wanted to help free the Galaxy. That is why he requested a meeting with the Order and was granted it. Hopefully, this upcoming discussion with the one of the Jedi masters will be fruitful in keeping their alliance intact and even find ways to strengthen it.

Pal spoke up, alerting Forim that they were a minute away from their destination. Smiling, Forim pressed a button on his console, sending a coded signal to the Jedi of his imminent arrival. Then finally, he came out of hyperspace, spotting the collection of Jedi ships in front of him. The young yet veteran commander thought to himself.

Force be with us.

Jedi Councilor Kai Sera was waiting on the command bridge of the Galactic Evolution when he received the first word that a representative from the Rebellion was on his way to the Jedi to discuss a few things regarding their alliance amongst other things. It seemed like a fairly simple request, but there was something more to it. Kai wasn't sure what it was, but he had a feeling the meeting would be fairly important. Giving the signal that it was all fine, Kai waited until he needed to head down to the hanger to receive their rebel guest.

When Forim arrived in his Rebellion made X-Wing, Kai gave the signal to escort him in, and started to head on down to where the hanger was where he could land. Arriving right as the Rebel fighter pilot and commander landed his craft on the hanger deck, Kai waved off the security detail, letting Forim have a bit of room to breathe when he disembarked. Stepping up as the Duro pilot climbed out of the cockpit, Kai bowed politely, getting a sense of Forim through the Force. "Commander Viridux, welcome to the Galactic Evolution. It's an honor to have you here!"

Motioning for Forim to follow him so they could have whatever discussion the Rebel wanted to have in private, Kai made his way to the council chambers. Right before they entered, Kai motioned to the nearby sentinels. "These Jedi are going to give you a scan for explosives and weapons. After losing our temples standard procedure is to make sure there aren't any outside weapons in the council chambers. Nothing personal, I hope you don't mind."

Once they had gone through the scans, Kai would lead Forim inside and offer him a seat. Pressing a button on the armrest of his chair, Kai established a deadzone so no signals could be transmitted, reportedly to prevent eavesdropping. "Alright, Forim, so what is it you'd like to talk about?"

To be honest, Forim was surprised to see that Jedi Councilor was actually similar to him in age. The Duros assumed it would be like in the holoflims, an aged old wizard but reality of these times tend to strike down such impressions or create new ones. Perhaps he shouldn't be, considering his own rank in the Rebellion, though somtimes it still hard to believe he was a commander.

Once he was out of the cockpit, Forim returned Master Kai's bow with a smart salute and repiled.

"The honor is mine, Master Sera."

Once the Jedi gestured for him to follow, Forim told Pal, his astromech to stay with the fighter. The droid complied but answered back in usual colorful phrasing to tease his organic partner for old times sake. When they were stopped by the Sentinels and Kai explained the reasoning behind it, Forim nodded in acknowledgment. He left his blaster carbine inside the X-Wing with Pal and no doubt that all the Jedi security detail at the hanger bay will find. The commander let the Sentials do their scanning and once they were done he went inside the chambers with his host.

He took the offered seat and waited for Kai to begin then he answered.

"In all honesty, Master Jedi I come here bringing concerns from my organization and me personally about the current state of your Order. Of course, if you and your brethren have your own issues about us feel free to share them with me."

Forim labored a sign before continuing.

"To start with, are you familiar with the two padwans named Adun Umari and Rayla Natu?"

The Jedi master seemed mildly concerned when Forim started to speak, though he did his best to downplay his reaction, though in truth he was greatly worried about what the Rebel commander had stated. Raising an eyebrow at what the alien pilot stated as concerns about the current state of affairs of the Order. Part of Kai wanted to tell this pilot that the inner dealings of the Order were none of his business, but he knew that wasn't true. The rebels and the Jedi were very closely related in their fight, but depending on what Forim had to say, Kai's reaction might be very docile or very defensive. "Well, I'll certainly keep that in mind, what is it you want to cover specifically?"

Waiting as Forim seemed to take a breath before continuing on, Kai's expression almost immediately soured at the mention of their names of the Padawans. It would be obvious to Forim those were the last two names he wanted to hear. With a exasperated sigh, Kai nodded, "Yes, I have heard of them... they've had some issues in the past. Recently, Rayla's sister Anara and her master Jaleer were captured on Velmor on some foolhardy mission. They tried to save them, as did myself and Master Von Raythe, but we arrived too late to help it seems... Their attempt to rescue them was more brash and foolhardy than the original mission... What have they done now?"

The rebel hated he was doing this, but Kai needed to know. Judging by what the master revealed it only added further evidence to Forim's case

"Well I recently met them at the world of Ione when it was attacked by pirates. We ended up working together to defeat the raiders and succeeded. They proved to be great help during the skirmish but initially they weren't, having some kind of lover's spat with one another and nearly got themselves both killed, attacking an enemy position and my men had to save their hides. Adun acted like he wanted to die at first and Raya on the other hand, displayed a behavior I find more in common with those who live by the dark side."

Forim knew the latter was a serious charge, ons needed to be back up with evidence and so he brought out of one his hands, a small recording device that one of his men wore during the Ione fight. He added.

"When Adun came up with a plan to sneak inside the pirate's flagship and sabotage it from the inside, this is how she repiled just to spite him."

The rebel pressed the button on the recorder and Kai can clearly hear Raya's hated-filled voice that was played.

"Let's just get aboard and kill everyone. Blowing the reactor will cause the ship to crash in the city, but clearly you wouldn't realise that, caring for nobody but yourself"

"Obviously, I refused go with such a reckless idea, but we did modified the plan to move the ship away from the city before brining it down. When I rebuked her about it, she acted like a spoiled brat and being trained in some force sense, I literally felt her feelings, wanting to kill me in that moment. Also she had the look of someone who done that before in that kind of state."

Kai would shift rather uncomfortably in his seat as he sat there and watched the Duros Commander give his report of a mission to Ione where the two Padawans in question, Rayla Natu and Adun Umari, seemed to have been recklessly involved. The Jedi Master wished he could have said that this was the first time this had happened, but unfortunately it was not. When Rayla's sister Anara had been captured they had just as recklessly rushed out to save her without waiting for the council to give its approval or even wait for a higher ranking member to escort them to the planet in question, a planet deep in Sith space. And from what he could tell, the group of Padawans that had left to go rescue Anara seemed to have some sort of scuffle as they begin to question each other over their choices. The whole thing spoke of how immature, petulant, and needlessly rash these Padawans were. If Kai had a say in it, he wouldn't promoted them to knight in a hundred years. Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, the choice wasn't only up to him.

Once Forim had finished recounting his tale, Kai nodded thoughtfully with a deep frown on his face and lines of worrying creasing his brow. Clearing his throat, he finally spoke up after a few tense moments where the Jedi was clearly deep in thought. "I'm glad you were there to bring sense and rationality to the mission then, Commander." Kai started, his dark grey eyes scanned the Rebel across from him. "I really do wish I could say that this sort of behavior has happened before with those Padawans... unfortunately, that's anything but the truth. I'm afraid when Jaleer brought Rayla in, he did not think of the side affects of bringing in someone with dark side tendencies, and then doing nothing for her... Clearly, that will need to be rectified. I'm glad you brought this before my attention, I'll definitely have to look into it further... maybe move for a formal hearing and a reprimand. Padawans need to understand that such reckless and bloodthirsty behavior is not acceptable as a Jedi. Even if we have take hundreds of lives..." Kai paused as he remembered the bomb he set off to destroy the Palace on Coruscant, "...it shouldn't be done lightly, and only with great care and consideration. And their arrogant attitude is not acceptable either, accepting criticism is not only a sign of maturity, it's what separates us from those edge lords we fight."

After a brief pause he asked, "Is there anything else, Commander? Anything relating to these Padawans in particular, or would you like to move on?"
