"And yet another comes..." (Choray Sefja's Training)

[Phil]

"Heed what I have ssaid about the powersss. While the Dark Sside isss our one advantage to the Jeedai, it can alsso be our downfall if we are foolissh enough to let it."

"But now... now is the time to consstruct your own Lightssaber. You will require the partsss, a Crysstal, and the knowledge. The latter you will get from me, but you musst go to the work sshop on the third level of the Enclave for the partss while the crystals are in the basement. The Crystalsss are mined from the mountainsss far from here, and would take daysss to get there without a sship, maybe a week if you cannot find it. Go to the bassement and the work sshop, tell them Knight Durtrak ssent you and they will give you what you need. Come back here when you have both partsss and a crystal."

 

[D.C.]

His own lightsaber! Choray felt excitement though he didn't show it. He remained quite calm. "I shall go at once." he said.

He turned around and exitted the room. He saw a large hallway and finally it led him to an elevator. He boarded the elevator and it took him upwards, all the way to the third floor. As he left the elevator he looked around and did not see any sign of a workshop. He decided to just walk around the place and he would find it eventually.

Finally he had found it and he entered the workshop.

"Hello there." a human man said as Choray entered the workshop.
"Hello." Choray said. "Knight Durtrak has sent me, to aquire certain parts for my lightsaber."
"Ah, your own lightsaber. Very good. Here is what you need." the man grabbed a box which contained all the parts Choray would need. The Ospion Padawan thanked the man and he left the workshop.

Time for a crystal... he thought and he moved back to the elevator.

He reached the basement and he found the storage of the crystals rather quickly. He had read about crystals used to empower lightsabers and he figured that was exactly what he needed the crystal for.

He put the box down on a crate and searched through the crystals in the basement. They were in many different colors: blue, green, red, purple, yellow, white, orange... yet none seemed to really bother him, until...
His attention was drawn by one specific crystal. It did not look much different from the others, but Choray knew that this one was meant to be his. He grabbed it and examined it. It was a purple crystal, a beautiful purple crystal.
He pocketed it and grabbed the box with the parts and moved back to the training room where he met with Durtrak.

"I have the parts." Choray said as he put the box upon a table. "And here is... my crystal." he held up the beautiful purple crystal.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak had sensed Choray's arrival, and turned his attention towards the door when it opened.

"Ah, good. Sset them both here, on thisss table. There are only a few thingsss I want to go over before you begin consstruction."

He said, his hand pointing to a table that was cleared off of other tools. There was something about Choray though, he seemed different then he was before when Durtrak sent him to retrieve his crystal and parts. Then he realized it...

"Your crysstal... I can ssensse it isss more then meetsss the eye... You knew of it when you grabbed it, didn't you?"

 

[D.C.]

"Yeah." Choray answered. "All of those crystals seemed just like... ordinary crystals to me. Except for this one. Somehow it pulled my attention and I had to take this one. I just felt I had to. What does it mean?"

 

[Phil]

"It would sseem that that crysstal is touched by a sstronger presence to the Force then otherss normally are; a rare thing to come by. Your awarenesss will sserve you well, and the crysstal in turn will alsso."

"But for now, there isss one power I will teach you, one you saw me usse in our dual. Lightning ssis a sstrong power ussed by only thosse who sstudy the Dark Sside, and it can be quite a deadly weapon if masstered. What I ussed on you was a ssimple sspark, ssuch asss an electric prod ussed on animalsss. What I want to teach you is how to usse it asss a weapon, like I have. Like before, you musst tap into your anger to usse thisss with more efficiency.

 

[D.C.]

Choray listened carefully to Durtrak's explanation about the crystal. He was intrigued.

Then his new task was to succesfully cast Force Lightning. Choray already was familiar to the Force after all they had practiced and he figured the part where he had to tap into his Dark Side was exactly the same as Grip. However, the actual casting of the lightning was slightly different.

He concentrated and tapped in his anger. He could feel it coursing through his body and he could feel the Force around him. Then, in a slight anger, he threw a wave of lightning in front of him. It caught some objects he was aiming on and after a few shocks, the lightning disappeared.

 

[Phil]

"Good... good. You learn quick. Now, try that once more on me, jusst with a sslightly sstronger jolt."

Durtrak asked, ignighting his lightsaber as he held it infront of him with both hands. This Zabrak was right on his way to becoming a Ospion guardian, one who would surley be a great use to the Order.

 

[D.C.]

Choray faced his master.

"On you?" he asked with a bit surprise. "Well, ok.."

He reached out his hand and concentrated. A moment later another wave of lightning was released from his hand, but this time he tried to add more power to it. It was slightly stronger then the previous wave, but he had a bit of trouble by making it stronger. A matter of practice, he thought.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak caught the lightning with his blade and held it there as it continued to enter his blade until it stopped. He could tell that this mad has had this power locked inside him up until now, where Durtrak had released it from him. Lowering his blade, Durtrak gave a nod of approval to his apprentice.

"Very good. Practice it, and you will ssoon masster it to it'sss full extent. Now, the next power I want you to focusss on is your telekinessisss. I know you ussed it before while here, but you will need to know how to fully usse it if you are to build your lightssaber. Are you ready to proceed?"

 

[D.C.]

He was eager to build his lightsaber but he did not understand he needed to use telekinesis while building it.

"I guess I am ready. But, why do I need to use telekinesis? I'm not gonna build it using my hands?" he was a little bit confused.

 

[Phil]

"You could try... but there is a high chance you will fail in consstructing it with your handsss. Bessidesss, it is nearly impossible to place the crysstal insside the hilt with your handsss, asss they only get in the way. Consstructing it through the Force is the only way to make a reliable lightssaber that won't malfunction in your handsss."

 

[D.C.]

"Constructing through the Force?" Choray asked. Things were getting complicated, but very interesting.

"Please, teach me how."

 

[Phil]

"It isss ssorta how you ussed Grip out in the yard, but you are jusst trying to grab it insstead of trying to crussh it."

Durtrak then walked towards a small table that was in thr room, bringing up a small box and placing it ontop. He oppened it to reveal a smaller box before oppeing that and taking out a small ball.

"It isss quite ssimple, really. You saw how I opened each one and took out the ball? Well, I want you to put the ball back in the ssmall box, then that into the bigger box. Concentrait on the Force, let it guide you and let you ssee where you cannot. The ssmaller objectsss musst be placed in a sspecific possisstion in their larger counterpart before you can move onto the next one. Do you follow me?"

 

[D.C.]

"Yes I understand." Choray let his master know. "I will try."

He looked over to the boxes and the ball. He had experience with telekinesis and the grip so he figured this would not be too hard.

He reached out through the Force and after a few moments, the ball shaked. After a few more moments it floated into the air, and slowly, very slowly it floated towards the smaller box and then landed in it, very slowly. That was easy.

He then tried to levitate the box, now containing the ball, and he tried to levitate it into the bigger box. However, as this object was heavier than just the ball alone, it was harder. First nothing happened. But then, after a while, the box started shaking. After some more time it floated and finally landed in the bigger box.

"I... I've done it." Choray said. It was heavy for him to lift those objects but he succeeded. "Wat it any good?" he asked his master.

 

[Phil]

"It wasss. You will be a doing very ssimilar thing when you build your lightssaber, but they will not be near asss heavy. Now, place the partsss and your crysstal over onto the work bench here. Usse the ssame technique you ussed with the boxess, jusst with more focuss; thesse partsss are much ssmaller."

 

[D.C.]

Choray took the parts and put them all on the workbench. He then took the crystal out of his pocket and put that one on the workbench as well. He then looked over to his master and then back to the parts.

He had to do this without touching it with his hands. He kneeled down before the table and looked at the parts. He concentrated and suddenly an image appeared of how his hilt would look like. It was a beautiful hilt, somewhat elegant. Maybe it did not suit Choray's mercenary looks, but he liked the image. He then closed his eyes and concentrated on that image.

He could feel all the parts as well as the special purple crystal. A few moments later they all floated in the air, just above the table and the crystal floated in the middle. Then all the parts floated into place.

Minutes later a lightsaber floated above the table. It took Choray almost fifteen minutes to create it, but he had succeeded.

He opened his eyes and saw the hilt floated. He reached out his right hand and grabbed it out of the air and then stood up and turned towards Durtrak.

"Master." he said. "I have done it."

He was proud of himself. He, a badass merc from Coruscant, had managed to create a lightsaber through the Force. He smiled and showed it to his master.

 

[Phil]

"You have. You sshould be pleassed, Choray, not many of my apprenticesss have made it thisss far into their training. They... were weaker then I thought, but you are not sso weak. You have pressed on, learned to usse the Force, it's darker sside, and consstructed the weapon in your handsss that will be your mosst loyal companion. There remainsss only one thing left..."

Durtrak said, grabbing his Lightsaber and igniting it as he pointed it towards Choray, walking slowly towards him.

"What do you know of loyalty?"

 

[D.C.]

"I was a merc. When somebody hired me I would stay loyal to the guy who hired me until I completed the job. I will never betray anyone and I will fight for my faction until my last breath." he spoke, looking at Durtrak.

His master closed in on him with his saber active, but Choray just stood there and said his words. He did not move and he trusted his master, he would not harm him. Or at least, he thought.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak stopped pacing until his lightsaber tip was only a few feet away from Choray, then started to slowly circle around him. He did not show any signs that he would back down.

"Then you do know loyalty. You were capable of thinking for yoursself when you were a mercenary, and you will ssoon learn to think for yoursself when you have become a Guardian of the Osspion Order. How would you treat a desserter of our Order if they were to join the Jeedai, or if they were to reveal vital information about usss to them that is besst not known?"

 

[D.C.]

"I would..." he paused. "...Choke them..." he smirked and raised his hand like he would when using Grip.

"Or perhaps..." He activated his lightsaber and the purple glow became one with the yellow glow from Durtrak's blade. "...Strike them down?"
