"And yet another comes..." (Choray Sefja's Training)

[Phil]

"Yesss. Ssuch trecherousss actionsss could become very dangeriousss for usss. We may be better Guardiansss, but we musst alsso do what we musst to presserve our Order."

Durtrak then stopped as he with drew his blade and arched it back, as if he was going to strike Choray in half with it, but did not.

"One lasst quesstion. You have fought againsst a Jeedai and were defeated. The Jeedai is merciful and offersss you a choice to join their order or be imprissoned to an unknown fate. You feel you have jusst enough ssstrength to escape or to fight again with a fifty-fifty chance of winning. What do you do, Choray?"

 

[D.C.]

Choray looked Durtrak straight in the eye and he held his saber down.

"I would fight till my last breath." he said.

 

[Phil]

"That isss all I needed to know. Now, watch me and do exactly what I do."

For the next hour, Durtrak stood in several different poses, holding his lightsaber straight as he struck through the air and blocked nothing, almost as if he was fighting something imaginary. He told Choray to let the Force guide his actions, and to imagine fighting someone using the stance Durtrak was in. It was the way of Juyo the The Ferocity form, a harder form to master, but one that Durtrak was suited for, and thought it would also suit his apprentice.

Choray then raised his lightsaber and did as Durtrak said. He watched and then tried to do the moves himself.

At first he had to look at his master many times but then he got the hang of it. The form he was learning became more and more familiar to him.

He was learning Juyo, although he did not know its name yet, and he began to understand how to use it. It all was clear to him and he became familiar with it.

 

[Phil]

After more time of practicing the form, Durtrak stopped his blade as he turned it off and placed it back in his robe.

"Very good, Choray. Asss of thisss day, you are no longer an Initiate and now a Osspion Padawan. Prove yoursself worthy and you will one day become a Knight of the Osspion Guardiansss. I will be there to guide you and sshow you more waysss of the Osspion, but there are ssome thingsss that musst be learned on your own. Congratulationsss."

 

[D.C.]

Choray switched off his lightsaber and bowed before his master, to show his respect.

"I thank you, master." he said. "I thank you for everything you have taught me."

"Yet, I have a question."

He paused for a while, and he clipped his lightsaber to his belt.

"What should be done for me to become a Knight?"

 

[Phil]

"It isss asss I ssaid. Prove yoursself and your loyalty, learn more beyond what a Padawan sshould, and then it sshall be deamed you will become a Knight. I will help you achieve thisss."

 

[D.C.]

"Then I want to begin proving that I'm worthy and loyal now. Because I am worthy and I am loyal, I know this." Choray said. He sounded very sure of himself and he really wanted to gain the rank of Knight within the Order. He wanted to mean something within the Order and not just being a Padawan, though he was happy he had gained at least the rank of Padawan. He just wanted more.

 

[Phil]

"You are ambitiouss, and eager to learn more. That is good, but there isss nothing more I can teach you for today. The Library here containsss much knowledge that you sshould learn though, I would start there. Know thisss though, My Padawan, there is ssoon to be changesss in our Order, for the greater good or not I do not know yet, sso be prepared for them when the time comesss."

 

[D.C.]

"Yes master." Choray said. "I will be prepared for anything."

He bowed again and then walked towards the exit of the room.

"I will go to the library now. Thanks again."

OOC: Are done with this training thread now? What exactly did you have in mind, Phil?

OOC: Yeah, we're pretty much done. I'll defenetly see to it though that you are a Knight though by the time we to the Time Jump.
