How is a race that can grow stronger in the force by sucking the brain out of victims allowed to be played on the site? This seems a bit unfair... (I'm bringing this up because I noticed someone made a profile as one, and I checked the Disallowed Species list and it wasn't there.)

Yes, they're allowed. I've had one for some time, Jiang even went through the profile with me when I made it to find errors.

WAIT! Anzati are allowed but I can't do the ritual thing with Calam that does pretty much the same thing?

That was probably more reasonable tbh, at least yours was only temporary :CHappy

Probably because people don't abuse it and it only works on Force-sensitives, and player characters at that.

My ritual was only supposed to work on force sensitives, and it was only a temporary boost.

I was talking about Anzati and I don't know anything about your character or its ritual so IDK. It sounds like you should just use Force Drain if you want a temporary boost.

I'm the one who made the Anzat, and to me they seem like they would only be an issue if someone went overboard and made their character kill the entire Jedi Council and become full potential Anakin or something. I'm not intending to have him grow off-the-wall powerful with it, or anything like that, and seeing, as someone above me posted, that most people whose brains would get eaten would be PCs, it won't exactly be common and/or really easy to do.

Well if the only species on the Disallowed Species list are ones that aren't in this time period then I'm mistaken for bringing this up. I thought that there were also species on there who had been deemed unfair or overpowered for the RP, I hadn't realized that those types of species were allowed if you promised to control yourself.

The Gen'Dai for example are naturally overpowered, the Anzati are not. As long as an Anzati doesn't abuse the soup suckin' stuff, they're fine. A gen'dai is almost immortal.

It would have been fun to RP a Gen'Dai, though obviously a force using one would be too OP. Though I'd probably use the Gen'Dai, if I were allowed, as a Kenny character.

Gen'Dai are god-modding personified, they should and are disallowed and quite rightly so.

Anzati on the other hand are not nearly so omnipotent. Wookiees can pull humans apart with their bare hands, Kiffars can absorb the memories of the fallen through physical contact. I don't get what the problem is with being able to suck the life essence from another (and in doing so learning new things).

They're a cool, unique race and there is no more cause to disallow them than with the other two previously mentioned species. The Star Wars universe would not be nearly so colourful without such alien races.

Gen'Dai, on the other hand, are a different kettle of fish. They are too much, even for a free-form role-play site. There's only so much you can do with writing skills when your opponent is that infallible. Even without the force.

We had a new member create s gen'dai mandolorian lasr timeline or something who was disgustingly overpowered and the rper oocly proceeded to insult us in mandolorian when we told them to tone it down. Hes single handedly why gen'dai wee banned in the first place =P

im convinced a member made the profile to troll us it was that ridiculous.

If someone were to apply the rules governed by the admins and toning down a gen'dai, would someone be allowed to use that species?
