The Rebel Dawn was one of the most powerful ships in the galaxy, and the mobile command center of the Rebellion. It featured a large array of weaponry, and being one of the most powerful ships in the Galactic Alliance, it surely had a large array of defensive capabilities. In addition to that, they were various rooms that were used for things such as training, keeping your weapons, and for the living quarters. Aura was going to be using for training herself in being a force sensitive.

To be honest, Aura was honestly reluctant to do so. She felt that since she was training as a force sensitive, she was becoming another version of what the Sith were. While she knew that she had good intentions in her training as a force sensitive, compared to some people such as the raw recruits of Korriban, Aura was very concerned that they was always a potential of her turning to the wrong side. She had heard various stories throughout history of many Jedi turning to the dark side, and becoming Sith.

As she stood there, waiting for the person she had invited to train her. The young Mandalorian was highly interested in learning force powers to further the cause of the Rebellion, and to help ARES, a division in which she was a member of.

Xanthus had never been one to keep people waiting, punctuality being something that he strove for particularly when it came to training of himself or others. This training session would prove to be little different from the others in that regard at least, which was proven by sliding doors opening to reveal his presence. He struck a fairly impressive figure, clad in the Prudii-Class Shock Trooper Armor that he had begun wearing much more often since he had joined the Rebellion. He was purported to be a former Imperial Knight, and while this was true it was not the full story. Most of Xanthus's "career" had been spent in service to the Sith, and he held a certain preference for the members of the Rebellion to not know of this information. Thus he typically wore the full-body armor when aboard the Rebel Dawn or within most other Rebel installations, and today was no different.

Attached to the armor via magnetic lock were four lightsabers: three were of similar make, while the fourth was of a different design. Stepping into the room, Xanthus removed his helm and placed it under an arm, fairly confident that Aura was not one of those who might recognize him for a former Sith. "Hey there, you must be Aura. I'm Xanthus." He said with a hand extended towards the woman whom he was to train today. After the pleasantries, Xanthus would remove a small bag from his back and set it down on a nearby table. "Your message stated that you wanted to train in 'being a Force Sensitive,' but before we began I thought I'd ask if you knew more precisely what you wanted to learn." Holding up a hand, Xanthus started counting with fingers as he spoke. "There's lightsaber practice, Force abilities training, general training, simple sparring, etc."

The Mandalorian Rebel was aware that her teacher was an Imperial Knight, although she admittedly, hated all things Imperial. Nevertheless, Aura was well aware of the fact that the Sith had overthrown the former Empire, and she was aware that the Imperial Knights had been one of the groups that stood openly in defiance against the Sith Order. That made her wonder if Xanthus was one of the few, last Imperial Knights remaining.

As she listened to what the training options were, Aura thought that engaging in lightsaber training was a good idea. She had never trained in lightsaber combat, and she knew that she was going to face a Sith sooner or later face to face. While Aura was a master of Teras Kasi, that mostly helped her with her mental barriers, and various Sith could be able to counter her Teras Kasi strikes, considering her small stature.

"I would like to train in lightsaber combat. Admittedly, I didn't bring a lightsaber, nor do I own one." Aura stated.

It was not a surprise that Aura did not own a lightsaber, considering the fact that they were not exactly mass produced and offered freely among the Rebellion's ranks. There were an unfortunate number of Force Sensitives even aboard the Rebel Dawn who had never received formal training, and thus had never been given a lightsaber. But this was simply something that had to be accepted for the moment and rectified later, because at the moment there were more pressing concerns than the lack of lightsabers among the Rebels. Reaching into his bag, Xanthus pulled out a lightsaber and tossed it to Aura. "Eh, don't worry about it. Not too many of you Rebels seem to own lightsabers.

Which makes it a good thing that I have a few extra laying about."
The lightsaber he had just passed to Aura had once belonged to a Jedi whom he had fought on Tython ten years ago. He had long since removed the orange crystal and replaced it with a blue one, though that had been the only modification that had been made. "So, shall I take your lack of owning a blade to mean that you've never been trained in lightsaber combat?" Xanthus said as he removed a lightsaber from his waist and gave it a few experimental flips before firmly grasping it. He figured that the answer would be that Aura had not been formally trained, but then again there was always the chance that someone had taught her a basic movement or two.

Lightsabers were a different weapon for her. She had never used one, and she had never even held one. Aura didn't know anything about lightsabers, or the lightsaber forms. Right now, all that mattered to her was getting the training, and she was more than happy to get it from an Imperial Knight instead of a Sith, or a dark side user.

"Your right. I have never, ever wielded, or touched a lightsaber." the Mandalorian Rebel stated.

It wasn't something that bothered her. Aura was more than capable of defending herself, and she had trained to prove that she also had the determination to make sure that she wasn't going down without a fight.

As the Mandalorian stood there, she so Xanthus passing her a lightsaber. Aura didn't know anything about a lightsaber, something that she found to be quite funny, considering the fact she wanted to learn how to wield a lightsaber.

It was a fortunate thing that Xanthus had previously switched this particular lightsaber to training mode, so that he would not have to worry about Aura accidentally slicing him to pieces during their training session. "Okay, so first thing's first. You'll want to assume a position that's comfortable for you to fight in. If you happen to know a martial art, then I might recommend assuming the basic stance of that style." It might have seemed like a strange tactic to start from this particular base, but in Xanthus's mind it was something of a necessity. The Rebellion was still in its fledgling status, meaning that it needed all of the fighting potential that it could access. In that same vein, force sensitives within the Rebellion would be needed to combat the Sith, and they would be needed soon.

Unfortunately, that left little time to teach "proper" lightsaber combat techniques from the foundations up, something that could take years. If there was a foundation that Xanthus could use from another martial art however, it might be faster to simply convert the steps from that style into a suitable lightsaber technique. But then again, this thought was dependent on Aura actually having a suitable unarmed technique that could be so modified.

"Well I know a few martial art forms, although I like Teras Kasi the most." she stated. Being a master of Teras Kasi, and having used it for nearly two decades made Teras Kasi her most formidable martial art weapon. The Mandalorian Rebel was not the absolute best in Teras Kasi, but that did not mean that she was not extremely good with the martial art. Furthermore, Teras Kasi was specifically designed to fight force sensitives, and protect non force sensitives from the mind infiltration tactics of the Jedi, and the Sith, and that was something Aura could certainly do.

Aura looked at Xanthus, nodding to indicate that she was preparing to position herself in a stance. Firstly, she went to position her her right foot in front of her left. She then went on to hold the lightsaber tightly, feeling the heat that emitted from the lightsaber beam. Lastly, she extended her arms slightly forward. This was all done to create a stance that fitted a modified Teras Kasi stance.

"Is this bad?" she asked, wondering if she was doing well so far in the lesson.
