This is how I envision it. Quick and easy.

A small strike force, heavily armoured, will escort a heavy freighter filled to the brink with both nuclear and more conventional explosives. The escorts will ensure the freighter is untouched, and at the last possible moment the escorts will unload a large nuclear bombardment on the physical planet Alsakan, and the freighter will crash in the midst of the chaos into the planet. It'll be enough to destroy much of the planet's plant life and pollute it for centuries to come. An act of vengeance.

The Alsakan's will, if all goes well, organize a hasty counter-attack on the Republic, which will be well prepared to deal with the attackers.

Sounds good to me. Just as long as we dont get owned by the Alsakans again.

That was planned to happen actually. I gave them the perfect plan to take Coruscant. It was supposed to be an incentive to get the Timeline going. It obviously didn't work.

The problem is getting that close. Xenvaer is heavily defended, and they'll be expecting some kind of rebuttal for Coruscant. And Dakar won't like this either.

Maybe if we had some kind of droid piloted freighters, or freighters fitted with escape pods, filled with nukes flying in, under faked Alsakan Transponders (or even that of known merchants) and the human pilots bail out at last minute, their pods being picked up by one lone, stealthy, small, fast, hyperspace capable ship. The freighters then plummet down to Alsakan and detonate via remote sequence.

In fact, it might be an idea to hijack some of the freighters providing Coruscant with supplies and food, as they return to Alsakan, but subtley so the Alsakans are unaware fo the change in cargo and pilots.

Will you involve the jedi Nexus?

If the Jedi aren't involved themselves, I can see them not being fans of this attack, as it's striking at something sacred to the Alsakans, rather than something of military or strategic importance.

Also...matt you're not in the Republic are you?

:CIsee: You're not suppose to be here. But I doubt the Jedi will like this attack, so I doubt it.

And this.

Also, matt, no talking. It's a password protected board for a reason.

Back to the actual planning.

If we do go with the idea of crashing nukes down and having the pilots bail out, once they get to Xenvaer it's going to be very hard to stop them being destroyed before they get into the atmosphere - nobody is meant to go onto the surface after all.

Unless perhaps we had a ship that fired escape pods full of nukes down at the planet; you know feign a distress call from reactor failure and inform the Alsakans that all of the escpae pods, dropships and fighters are full of survivors, so as they are on their way to rescue them, they all go boom with the nukes. Also a feesible reason to be on the planet, as escape pods and other craft used in such circumstances are not piloted as much as used to get away. And of course, each would be remote piloted and the capital ship jets out of sysemt in the midst of the chaos. However, again, we would need a non-republic capital ship (even corvette size would do) for this.

I suggest we hire a mercenary group to hijack an Alsakan ship or two and deliver them to us. Keep our hands as clean as possible.

Sounds good. The choices seem to be Fioch and Niner's group. Or your and Leo's crime group. Or we could buy an unmarked, civillian ship from Kupo. I'd go with the latter of the three, he could always arrange to have it fitted with a known Alsakan transponder.

Sounds good. We should talk to him about that.

Sorry I couldn't get to posting in this earlier mothers day and all. But so far the plan sounds good. But like Ols said I don't like the fact that if the freighter crash lands some of our guys are going to die with it. Like Ols said, maybe fire some nukes down via escape pod, but then the escape pods would have to be pretty big.

As for attacking Xenvaer if we could in any way infiltrate the city or possibly try to get one of our men working on the technical aspect of the defense force (highly unlikely) it would make the attack a lot easier.

For the mercenary group I would prefer to use Kupo's group cause their stuff seems to be pretty up to date and if we could get that company on the side of the republic our technological superiority would increase.

I won't attack Xenvaer without extensive study, as there is a large chance for heavy civilian casualties. As I am creating a special Elite Force of Agents like the CIA and MI6, I can organize them to infiltrate Xenvaer and the Alsakan government and feed me information.

Thats kinda what I meant. I was thinking along the lines of infiltrating a tech squad and disable the generators that supplied power to the defense platforms so we would only have to worry about the defense fleet.

But if we have unmarked ships, prepping for hyperspace as we launch bombs/ships of bombs we don't have to worry about defenses.

True, but I'm just thinking of if we get trapped in system I don't want us to get hammered.

We get trapped in system we lose two, new, unmarked ships with skeleton crews. Acceptable losses.
