Newsletter 9/5

Greetings, Sith, Imperials, and allies!

We are ending this timeline with a bang! A lot of battles have been occurring and there are more to come. Most recently there was the Battle of Manaan, an imperial operation to finally defeat the Manaan Alliance once and for all. However, the battle did not go as the Imperium expected. The battle was lost, with the rebels winning at the underwater shipyards and Ahto City. Recently, a new battlefield has been added to the Battle of Manaan, an epic confrontation between Darth Skarda and the former leader of Defiance Squadron, Kara Vaalki.

The Imperium has suffered several blows in the last few months. Korriban was conquered. The Dark Council attempted to seize power. The Coterie waged a civil war, attacking Serenno, Ord Radama, and Yavin IV. The Rebellion announced itself to the galaxy by defeating the Imperium at the Battle of Naboo. The last of the Dark Council, Eris, betrayed the Imperium, whose defection led to the devastation of Ubiqtorate and the destruction of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. But in the defeat we shall become stronger, and take the fight to the Rebellion.

The Bogan attacked the Imperium at Fondor. Though the Bogan failed in their objective to conquer the massive shipyards, the First Battle of Fondor left the shipyards weakened. Sensing an exploitable weakness, the Rebellion has begun an invasion of Fondor during the Second Battle of Fondor. The rebels have also begun the Battle of Bestine. Good luck to all active participants!

The Dark Council was weakened during the Imperial Civil War, with the Councilors betraying the empire for their selfish desires. A new provisional Dark Council was erected, consisting of Sin'ryk Nalessh, Rookwrr, and Raide Vakri. Please join me in welcoming the newest members of the Dark Council: Warmaster Audroti, High Executioner Satoryu, and High Inquisitor Ebberla Daw! Great things will come with their help and dedication. Among the new councilors is the former Jedi Grandmaster. A few months ago, she was dishonored and disgraced by the Jedi Order, a scapegoat for their sins. She has come to the Sith Order in order to have her revenge against those who forsake her, abandoning her. Showing her commitment by betraying the Wardens, a secretive Jedi sect with ties to the Jedi, she has been given the power to destroy the very Jedi Order who she led through the flames and discarded her. Audroti and Satoryu have been active members of the Sith for many years, who began their journey before the time skip. Their journey has finally led them to the pinnacle of Sith power as Dark Councilors, who have been rechristened as Darth Kova and Darth Ryuu, respectively. Again, congratulations and welcome, to all of you. We expect great things from you.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or message me.

It will be interesting to see what will happen to the Imperium by the end of the timeline.

I just hope that whatever the next timeline is that it will still have an Empire-themed faction.

And with the music playing in the back ground, I was primed for all five of the Chills that went down my spine... lol

Is there a thread where Ebberla joins the Sith?

I think there was, but at this stage in the game it hardly matters.

I find it weird that the shining light of the force would simply go turncoat. Even stranger that the new Dark Council would trust her. Like you said, probably doesn't matter anyway.

Think of Ebb as the Jedi's version Julius Caesar. She got stabbed by nearly everyone.

Yeah, I get that, but joining the Sith and killing all her friends seems kind of extreme for someone who had the deepest connection with the light.

You wanna bring it up with her? One on One?

Well Anakin wasn't the former Grand Master...

I'd much prefer a clear IC answer rather than "Wow, she's a Sith now. Lets go ahead and give her a crap load of power to a person that was our enemy a few months ago."

Ebb isn't the first GrandMaster to join the dark side. If I remember correctly, in the fourth timeline, their was a GrandMaster that joined the dark side as well. I believe his name was Banik Kelrada.

Ebb may have been Grand Master, but she's never been truly light sided, she has made some questionable choices within the Order even before she was Grand Master, giving her a more grey alignment. She's also been trained in the dark side and it has never really left her. Ebb also has a long running of betrayal with the Jedi because of this, alienating her and pressure to make choices against her will to be accepted by people who she thought of as family. However, the Endor Conclave was pretty much the straw that broke her. Pretty much she believed the Jedi gave their lives to be in the order, and now she is literally going to take that away for what they did to her (and her daughter as well).

Though if you still have issue with this Miz, I'm more than happy to have a thread where Ebb talks to your character about this.

My main gripe is that the Dark Council at this moment has zero reason to trust her and put her in a position of power. Simply exclaiming that you turned to the dark side isn't enough merit to land a position on the Dark Council unless Ebb proved her loyalty to the Empress first. To which I haven't seen yet. If Sith don't even trust each other, then what makes you think they can trust the ex-Jedi Grand Master?

I'm looking for IC justification from the Sith as well.
