Expert Pilot - Even for a Jedi Axis is a superb pilot. Its no secret that he would prefer to be fighting in space with a fighter rather then on the ground with a lightsaber.

History:
Axis' race was always a mystery to the Jedi as he was taken into the order around the age of 2 having been found on Dantooine in a shuttle-crash which the Jedi assumed killed his parents. He was found to be force sensitive and they decided to train him. Growing up with the Jedi teachings gave him a slight advantage over other students in later years whom had only just joined the order. However it soon became clear that he was never going to be a great swordsman. His skills with a lightsaber were acceptable but nothing special. However he was known to be a very skilled Consular and could tap into the force better then most.
It wasn't until the age of 12 that his true talent surfaced. He always longed to fly one of the Jedi Starfighters in the hanger of the temple. One day he saw his chance and in a trance-like state managed to control a starfighter with skill never seen before in someone his age. Though the masters scolded him for putting himself in danger by flying that starfighter they were also impressed with his ability to use the force intune with the control of his fighter.
A few years later he had honed his piloting skills to a level most Jedi could only dream of reaching. In addition he was a superb consular and had a vast command over the force. However before he became a Jedi Knight he would have to bring his somewhat poor lightsaber skills up to scratch. He had only focused on form I and even in his years of training had showed little interest.
Infortunately his master was killed by unknown assassins and Axis was forced to await another master to finish his training so that he could proceed with the trials.
