Basic training for Killeth

[Trakon]

The course was then modified according to Hetat's instructions. It became a old style town, with a large tower in the middle of the town.


"Alright," Barked Hetat over the comm system. "Killeth, be prepared and be ready. This will be a tough fight. You face a squad with at least 20 years experience of working together. Like I said, it won't be easy. 3-2-1-GO!"

Hetat smiled. His squad was in a position in the center building already, a sniper in the tower, who was also in a cold suit, two heavy weapons enplacements, and Hetat with a group of 4 to be a moving guard. It's not a live fire exercise. Hetat was ready to teach Killeth a lesson he might not forget.

 

[Galykia]

Killeths squad had 15 soldiers, including himself. He had 3 sub-groups, 5 in each. Killeth, obviously, led one group named alpha. A twi'lek led group beta and another human led group delta. Delta was used as a scout gruop that led the way forwrd while Alpha and Beta followed on the east and west flnks about a mile behind. Delta squad started to approach the middle of the feild, where the tower was. They started to proceed cautiosly, since they could easily be flanked.

 

[Trakon]

Hetat was at the front of the roving squad. He was in a building to the left of Killeth with one other man. The other half was in the building across.

"Alrigth blow'em." Suddenly small but fake landmines 'blew' cuasing a couple of Killeht's squad to be knocked out of the war games. Hetat and his squad retreated towards the church quietly.

 

[Galykia]

Killeth started to duck as he heard explosions around him. "Everyone take immediate cover and watch your step." Everyone else took cover and took no more causualties. Killeth's squad dropped from 5 to 3 soldiers. Killeth contacted his other teammates to warn them about possible mines in the area. Wrex, who commanded delta squad, responded that he saw men falling back from that area toward the tower.. They were too far out to fire upon and couldn’t be spotted easily without the use of binoculars.
Killeth and the other two soldiers traveled around the area where they thought the mines were placed. They then slowly advanced to the west of the tower area. Delta was positioned south of the area waiting for the command to attack. Beta squad was closing in on the east ready to prepare a flank at the position the enemy currently held.

 

[Trakon]

"Okay, everyone hole yourselves up here. Give them hell. They'll approach and try to flank a position which is near perfect circle in the middle of this town. They can't do it. So now do your best against them. YOu guys can take them most are just rookies." Everyone had a little laugh at that. Then half of Hetat's squad got in positions on the second floor, while the heavy wepaons were protected by the rest. The heavy weapons faced east and west.

 

[Galykia]

Killeth ordered Delta squad to push forward and distract the enemy so they can flank from two directions. Delta immediately started to fire on the heavy weaponry in and around the tower. They only fired when the enemy ceased to fire so they wouldn’t take any casualties but also pressure the other forces. Both squads in flank used the supporting fire to successfully advance close to the tower with no deaths. They took refugee in near by houses.

 

[Trakon]

"Alrigth sniper, fire at anyone who doesn't have a id marker. Heavies fire just fire, take down anything. Everyone else get ready for crap to fly. Hey give me that rocket." Hetat took a rocket launcher from one of his soldiers. He walked up to one of the windows near the house Killeth's men were staying then busted it open.

"Hi!" Hetat yelled, then he fired at the house, intent on bringing it down on whoever was in it. His men on the second floor were prepared to fire on anyone tyring to leave.

 

[Galykia]

Killeth and his other two soldiers were caught completly off guard by hetat. Killeth was luckily by a window when Hetat attacked. Killeth jumped out the window before he was blown to peices. Luckily their was a stone wall that would provide excellent cover. He quickly grabbed a grenade and whipped it at Hetat through the broken window. He then dodged a lot of heavy fire to get cover from the stone wall. Killeth prepared to get Hetat in his sights in case his grenade failed.

 

[Trakon]

After firing the rocket Hetat saw Killeth arm and throw a grenade.

Sometimes during war people can do amazing things. His amazing thing in that time was to use the launcher as a bat which he swung visiciously at the grenade. He knocked it back at Kileth's new position on accident.

He smiled regardless and jumped back into cover.

 

[Galykia]

Killeth attempted to dive away from his own grenade that now landed between him and the stone barrier. His dodge wasnt completly effective since stone shrapnel imbeded into his back and legs. He was in pretty bad shape and couldnt run, he had to hold his ground. Luckily 2 of Hetats men were wounded and another dead from my other 8 men. They were now closing in on the tower.

 

[Trakon]

((Trust me, in a real fight, I'd only have wounded men. You're men would be stuck facing heavy fire and the only way to get closer is through buildings or open streets. The buildings are under fire and the streets are being watched. I'd only have wounded people.))

"Everyone focus fire on Killeth, but watch your backs. Heavies keep firing at soldiers in the buildings, sniper take care of anyone running in the road."

Hetat's soldiers followed his commands.

 

[Galykia]

Nearly paralyzed, Killeth continued to hold his ground behind the partially blown away wall. He only had a mere 5 men plus himself left. He contacted 2 of them to come evacuate himself, while the others fall back to regroup and redraw a plan.

 

[Trakon]

Hetat smiled. Even in a war game you could tell who were the real things. A officer was to protect his men, not waste their lives. When Killeth ordered his men to come get him he signed a death order. As the men approached Hetat, along with his sniper fired at both. One went down and the other jumped, trying to reach Killeth in one giant leap. He too was taken down by fire. Hetat now waited for surrender.

"Killeth, surrender and this training exercise will be over."

 

[Galykia]

I will never surrender! Why dont you show your face and fight?

 

[Trakon]

"A crippled?" He yelled back.

Hetat checked his comms. "Am I covered?" His men gave an affirmative. Then he turned outside and ran down toward Killeth's downed form. He umped over the small wall & shot Killeth.

"Simulation over. Killeth get up you pansy. Everyone get up, time to debrief."

 

[Galykia]

Damn it! Killeth yelled out in rage. He was pissed that he did so terrible and that Hetat called him a pansy. He slowly got up and walked over to the debriefing table. He knew he was about to get a mouthful about what he did wrong. That didnt matter because that was the only way for him to learn from his mistakes.

 

[Trakon]

"You did good Killeth. You used as much cover as possible, but you should have used more heavy weapons to destroy our fortified positions. Learn from the things you screwed up about. Now tell me your thoughts."

 

[Galykia]

Well the first thing on my mind is thanks for calling me a pansy, I appreciate that. Other than that I a bit surprise my flanks didn’t work. The reason I didn’t bring to much heavy fire was to be quick. I thought my flank would take you by surprise because of their speed but they were foiled by you and your rocket launcher.

 

[Trakon]

"What can I say, rockets are fun." hetat smiled, then got serious. "I called you a pansy becuase you would have sent more of your men to come get you. It is a waste of life. If you are in a position where you can't get backup, you are obviously on your own. I suggest that you do your best to get the hell out before I come at you. Or surrender. If you had surrendered it would have been easier. You have no knowledge worth keeping and you would have been treated decently. But you had to be stubborn and possibly spend more life.

Never ever do that again, or I will personally make sure you never become an officer."

Hetat was completely serious. Anyone who would waste life to save his own isn't worth having in the military.

 

[Galykia]

I understand, sir, i will never do such a thing again. I guess I was being a bit rash and selfish.
