INTENT
The idea behind this ship is to add to the market of ships a quirky and powerful bit of tech that can be seen as a jack of all trades master of none. A lot of what is seen already tends to be quick fighters with low battlefield impact outside of dogfights or bulkier craft that pack more of a punch but are
considerably slower than the fighters meaning as a personal craft, they may actually hinder themselves in a dogfight. The blade class allows a pilot to perform a more broadened role in the sky which means people are less likely to need multiple ships for multiple things.

I think it also adds an element of extra thought into a PvP dogfight, unlike other crafts with a singular mode, a player will have to decide how they enter a fight, and in the midst of a fight consider the pros and cons of changing modes. Sure you could out speed the craft your fighting but if you decide to make that seven second change from assault mode to travel mode, you can't fight back for that time.

DESCRIPTION
Heavily modified and created for purpose Phoenix's ship Ashla's Blade is built for speed and combat efficiency. The ship itself has two modes; the first of which is travel mode, in which the armament is limited to two of its four laser cannons and negates the use of its missile tubes. It does however gain a considerable boost in speed, able to fly at speeds of 95 MGL making it competitive against some of the faster ships seen galaxy wide.

The second mode, attack mode sees a reduction in the ships speed output by roughly 15 MGL, but an increase in its combat ability due to the availability of all its armaments. From beneath the hull drops the torpedo tube, allowing for the use of its concussion missiles, while the ships wings splay outwards ferociously revealing a second pair of laser cannons.

It should also be noted that the transition time between Travel mode and Assault mode is five seconds long, whereas the transition time from Assault to Travel mode is slightly longer at seven seconds. During the transition between modes, no weaponry is available.

It's cool looking, I'll give you that, but I have a few concerns off the top that will have to be addressed before I review any further.

First, the rear-firing blasters are a hard no.

Second, you'll need to expand on the intent and description. Per the Tech rules;

The Intent section needs to be more than a sentence or two. It should contain all the OOC information of why this tech is needed, what role it fills, what it offers that other tech does not. We're not going to be approving unique tech just for a singular PC unless it's earned through the RP or you make a really convincing case in the Intent.

The Intent section is not just why you want something, it needs to tell the tech team why we need something. That goes doubly so for unique tech- especially for a new character, and especially especially when there's no description of how the craft was acquired. Designing and building a custom Starfighter- especially such a clearly advanced one- is a time consuming and monumentally expensive endeavor. How does your character merit this? For comparison, the only approved unique Starfighter right now is owned by the Emperor himself. You'll need to give me a pretty compelling reason to let you have this, or hold off on it until you've put in the IC work for it.

Weaponry Modified.
Intent Modified.

I didn't realise there was such a hard stance on personal tech hence why I made it personal but I am more than happy for it to be open market.

Multi-role fighters are kind of a tricky thing to balance, and single role craft are the norm for a reason. While it says jack of all/master of none, this seems like it's basically pretty good at everything, and comes across as sort of minmaxed. Fast, heavily armed, ton of cargo space, hyperdrive... and other than the transition time, which I don't imagine coming up very often in a PvP, there doesn't seem to be a lot of trade offs. It's at least on par with most main faction stuff, which indie tech generally shouldn't be.

Additionally, from a purely aesthetic and RP flavor point of view, this doesn't really fill any special niche that we don't already have something for. It looks unique, but it certainly doesn't look like a Corellian design, and there's nothing in the description to explain that sort of disparity or where and why this design exists- which is the kind of flavor I look for in most tech submissions. With such a unique craft like this I think you could do something more interesting than just squeezing another advanced general purpose fighter into the market.

For all of the above reasons I think the concept needs to go back to the drawing board. I'm going to Archive this for now.

As an addendum, If you're just looking to match the aesthetic of your character I still recommend perusing the approved tech for a fighter that fits your desired role (and there's a fair few open use fighters already approved) and write up a generitech reskin with this photo. When you're doing the description for it, focus on the background of the craft, explain the unique design, where it comes form, how your character acquired it, etc.
