Character Death Rule Change

Character Death rules have changed as follows:

1. A week after a character dies, they will be unusable in any threads and considered archived. You still cannot start new threads with dead characters, but this applies all threads they were already in before death.
2. If a character is in multiple PvPs and dies in one, all their other PvPs are forfeits. NOTE: This doesn't mean the side they're on must forfeit, just their character.

If plots and threads have been started prior to the characters death, or the PvP thread in which they die, are those plots and threads void?

I wonder if outside of combat. just for storyline a person can still post a closer? I like to wind things up and am actually working on my dead gurl's last post before requesting an archival. It impacts no one but myself or anything remotely of importance to factions or life and death situations. And certainly, this is not a new thread but one started prior to death.

No, you just have one week to wrap up your involvement in those threads. You only forfeit PvP threads.

Yes, that's why the one week grace period is there. Within that week you can finish up all existing threads and close the character's story out. But can't start new threads.

Thank you. I have been much slower than the mentioned week, this is why I have asked. I do like to complete a storyline if at all possible, and sometimes your rp partners add to the delay as well. I am not trying to create a difficulty here, but what of my missions that were started prior to death too? I'm not sure that a week is enough time to get everyone on the ball and knocking that sort of thing out.

This is probably not as confusing as I am making it and I will read it again often, but in the mean time.... it really makes me want to say no to pvp in general. I am not reward oriented, but storyline instead. I want to do things with my character besides crank out a list of prizes for my faction, you know?

Any and all ongoing threads have to be completed within that week. It just creates too much hassle having unique cases, so it's a blanket rule for all threads.

I understand. jsut pretend that I didn't know. I have sent Doz to archives AFTER i posted that closer I was writing. After all, this is why she was re-activated so that I might resolve her rps. I will be in full compliance next time! :D
