Darion "Diamond" Duke

FACTION: Galactic Alliance

RANK: Jedi Padawan

SPECIES: Human

HOMEWORLD: Vatol

AGE: 32

HEIGHT: 6'3

WEIGHT: 221 LBS

Force Sensitive: Yes

  • Darion Duke was an anomaly amongst the Ves'Zan of Vatol. He was social, which was not a trait many if any exhibited in their whole disjointed culture. Duke was unlike most who survived on the perilous deathworld, as he actively sought to build something more permanent for his fellow survivalists, never content with the day to day rumbles in the jungle that enabled their existence.

The Ves'Zan of course, effectively excommunicated him from their non-community, shunning him during the few times they would meet in one place as he tried to convince them to conglomerate. They were decidedly glad to be rid of the young troublemaker by the time he was shipped off on the slave ships.

Angry what he saw as his own peoples stupidity and lack of vision, Darion never looked back on his homeworld as a place he fondly remembered. It was just a place, where he learned the laws of the galaxy.

It was his second tour of Hutt space when he was acquired by an enterprising Sith, sensing some supposed power within him that he wanted to cultivate. Having seen enough fighting to last him several lifetimes, the ignorant Duke readily agreed to learning from the Sith, not fully understanding what that training would entail.

While the physical issues he had little problems with, his 'master' always took issue with his weakness in the strange energy called the Force. He could perform 'basic' feats of telekinesis and other force related abilities, and while he thought that those acts themselves were simply incredible his Sith master did not agree. He was pushed to the absolute limit to perform better, but that simply wasn't his aptitude.

In an ill advised attempt to have Darion give in to the Dark Side fully, his master brought him to a town on Chandrilla known for is vocal dissent against the Empire and the Republica. Duke was ordered to slaughter the town, an atrocity that he was at the brink of committing before he disappeared from the planet and Imperial space altogether.

He was content to live out the rest of his days as a sports entertainer, moving from planet to planet entertaining the masses with over-exaggerated and frankly ridiculous fights and stories. A time in which he picked up the moniker, King of Diamonds, or just Diamond.

It wasn't meant to be however, as his former teacher tracked him down to get rid of him. An easy feat since he wasn't exactly trying hard to hide. A showdown began and it was pretty clear that Darion should have died that day, but luck - Or the Force - enabled him to land a killing blow with his knife, ending that chapter of his life.

As the stories started piling up about him, and out of fear of being hunted once again, Darion fled to the Galactic Alliance, hoping they could help him in return for his own assistance, as well as perhaps meeting the supposedly returned Jedi so they could continue to teach him about the Force.

Thankfully, he managed to find some such teachers, and ended up finding their whole philosophy much more agreeable than that of the Sith's.
  • Duke is a generally friendly person, if a little standoffish. His experience with people has always left him burned in one way or another and that has translated into trust issues and a facade that doesn't truly reveal what Darion Duke really is.

He is an idealist, but all his ideals have always been put down by his so called peers. He wants to have friends and family, and yet no one has accepted him for what he is, always seeming to want to change him into something different for their own ends. Even his relationship with the Galactic Alliance is built on a give and take relationship, so while he has a place of safety with the rebels, it isn't a home.

He also has problems embracing civilized life, despite how much he tries to clamber towards it. He is always on the move, moving from one planet to the next in search of something, though even he doesn't know what that something is. Compounded on this is the subconscious fear many Vatol natives develop of being in one place for too long. If you stay in one place or area, it is easier to track you, and so you must keep moving so as not to be hunted.
  • He is a man in peak physical condition, who has spent his life fighting in some form or another. He is much like his other counterparts on Vatol, a master of the knife. A necessity when surviving the harsh jungles.

Always to some degree a survivalist, if you dropped him on any planet he would be able to find some way to survive even the harshest climates barring an asteroid. In fact, he feels most at home when he is in danger of dying at any second.

He never subscribed to blasters, instead wearing a wide array of throwing knives underneath his vest and on his belt for quick access. This helps when he is sneaking around, another skill he finds great success in, as well as providing an unusual offense against foes more used to fighting plasma as opposed to vibro-steel.

He is no intellectual however, having spent most of his life either fighting or performing, he hasn't ever really had time for a conventional education, and as such one shouldn't expect him to be able to hack into anything at all. He only understands the basics of computers, and must ask for help on anything more complicated than simply using the terminal.

    Vibro-Knife Sweetheart (Secondary)
    16 Throwing Vibro-Knives
    Ranger Scout Armor

Varien Coreno Howl

FACTION: Mandalorians

RANK: Marauder

SPECIES: Human

HOMEWORLD: Mandalore

AGE: 23

HEIGHT: 5'11

WEIGHT: 204 LBS

Force Sensitive: No

  • Varien Coreno Howl is a bit of an anomaly amongst his peers. He grew up clanless, born to two farmers on Mandalore who wanted little to do with the so called crusades and the inter-clan politics. They were content with their lot in life, despite how that went against their ancestral culture.

While not shunned, his family was never truly accepted. Neighbors and contemporaries not truly knowing how to feel about them thanks to their so called 'happiness' that they had found in the simple lives of farmers. Varien was not truly a social outcast, as he was never necessarily forced out of community activities and jobs. But he was always quietly forced to the outskirts of social groups, the subject of rumors and curiosity but never someone others chose to associate themselves with.

While this made for a lonely upbringing, his parents and close family still managed to make his life a happy one. He was trained as all Mandalorians were, but much of the supposed importance of their practices were lost on him. Leaving him instead with a more progressive isolationist outlook on life.

When the call was given to begin the crusades once again, he joined as he was expected too, though the same old problems persisted. He was avoided because he had no clan, but this time truly berated and ignored because of his outspoken criticism of the Mandalorians expansionist ideals.
  • Varien is a quiet man, often prone to half truths and white lies. He primarily worships Hod Ha'ran, the trickster. Always finding the puzzles and mysteries of the universe more intriguing than the ideals of conquest that pervaded his culture. He holds little love for Mandalorian culture as a whole, but still fights as he is expected too because of his devotion to duty.

He holds duty as the highest moral value. While he may not agree with the current state of the Mandalorian people, he understands his expected duty and the consequences of his failure to complete it.

  • Ultimately his skills are nothing special. His combative ability is as to be expected by any Mandalorian. He could hold his own with any type of weapon put into his hands, and holds no preference for any. A true jack-of-all-trades.

Along with a sharp mind, Varien is also particularly skilled with explosives. Explosives being one of the few things that get him excited about fighting. Beyond that, he could repair a speeder or a ship given enough time, and similarly could hack his way into a computer, but neither action without a significant amount of time.

Bastion

21557906f9e7977174428bb98db32bf7.jpg
Bastion is an Imperial world founded around 6398 BBY. It's colonization was suggested by the Imperial Agent Robert Abottangelo, as a military base and command center for the Empire's expansion into the Outer Rim. Expanding Imperial pressure to those worlds located to the galactic north of the Core.

A massive colonial effort was launched, lead by the Agent who suggested it, and with assistance from the Sith order and other Imperial Agents. Despite the presence of pirates who already inhabited the world attempting to halt their efforts, the Empire managed to push them off of the planet, seizing a sizable base with which to build off of as the main settlement.

The population was almost entirely Human and all were from Imperial space. Each of the colonists were intended to be Imperial patriots, former soldiers, and the vast amounts of the destitute who would become loyal after being chosen for the mission. Almost one to two million colonists were moved from their home worlds to Bastion to fulfill its needs, which were first and foremost to make it a self sustaining world.

The ice that covered a large majority of the planet posed a barrier to farming, but thanks to the supplies already present at the captured pirate base, which had since been converted into the capital city of the planet, farmers were able to set up small but very productive hydroponics farms underground or on the surface. Though traditional farming around the equator was still a major part of the planets internal economy.

Apart from farming, the true purpose the planet was that of a military outpost. The Capital city was a military fortress as much as a civilian home. It is walled, heavily policed, and strictly controlled. While normally this would cause significant unrest amongst a population, the colonists had volunteered for this fully knowing their purpose on the planet.

Soon, thanks to Imperial Shipments and their own rapid construction of production facilities, there was a population boom. There was never any shortage of work on Bastion, and people were compensated well for having to live in such a strictly controlled and sometimes dangerous society. They had the financial security to have many children, and the planet quickly became the icon for Colonial progress, driving immigration to the world. Second and third waves of colonists were sent out, following the original pioneers. Each wave brought with it sufficient supplies and prefabricated materials to build small cities without local support, alleviating much of the economic strain, instead only adding to the booming growth.

What is going to happen in your plot? Bob and a team of friends will collect the necessary support and materials to begin the construction of new shipyards over the newly colonized world Bastion. Further strengthening the Imperial position in the Outer Rim.

What other players will be a part of this? Myself and other Imperial friends

Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place? Coruscant, Bastion.

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

Thread 1. In Need of wealth and resources Bob and friends go to Coruscant to persuade wealthy businessmen it fund their project.

Thread 2. On Coruscant The team must defend themselves from 'fellow' Imperial's who have heard of their project, and foolishly intend to kill them and complete the shipyards under their own oversight, therefore claiming all the glory.

Thread 3. The Team must convince the colonial governor to shift much of his small workforce on Bastion to the construction of the shipyards. An especially difficult task considering Bastion's status as a newly colonized world.

What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"? Shipyards will be constructed over Bastion.

What is going to happen in your plot? Bob and friends will oversee the construction and testing of three ground to space cannons designed to defend the planet against fleet invasion. This in turn would make the planet a new Imperial fortress world.

What other players will be a part of this? Myself and other Imperials most likely.

Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place? Corellia, Bastion.
Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

Thread 1. Corellia is a major industrial powerhouse of the Empire. Creating and exporting thousands of different military goods and equipment. The team will have to go to Corellia to acquire the ground to space cannons before they can be shipped to Bastion.

Thread 2. A juicy target for any prospective raider, the cannons are protected by a small fleet of Imperial starships and of course, the Team who organized this venture. They must defend the expensive cannons from any threats.

Thread 3. Violent protests break out on Bastion which threaten to spill over to the Cannon's construction site. The Team must quell the angry mob with as little violence as possible.

What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"? Place 3 ground to space Cannons on Bastion thereby making it a fortress planet.

[tab=The Beginning]The Illustrious and prolific Robert Abottangelo is and was just that. Prolific. He traveled throughout the galaxy for most of his life, never knowing if he would survive the next few days. During his travels he never settled down, but that didn't mean he didn't have relationships with many, many people. While he has never gone into detail about his adventures as a younger man, it is quite clear his many exploits weren't exactly family friendly.

These adventures continue to this day, though not as frequent as they once were. Bob never met these people he had relationships with again, not often anyway, but the result of these supposed one night stands are another story. Such is the story of Bob's Bastards.[/tab]
[tab=The Kids]Often in stories such as these, the progeny of such exploits wonder why they only have one parent, or wonder who their father is. This is often the beginning of many a young persons story, as they set out into the galaxy in search of answers to such questions. Bob had never considered [/tab]

What other players will be a part of this?

Other Imperials, (@ ByakuyaXVTogami)

Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

Felucia, Mustafar, Korriban, Ossus

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

EQUIPMENT
  • Long Range Comm's equipment
  • Targeting Computers
  • Fusion Generator
  • Environmental Seal

DESCRIPTION
The All Terrain Armored Cannon, was designed first as a mobile siege weapon, then as a heavy battle tank, and then finally evolved into a first generation Imperial Army Walker. The four legged weapons platform was designed by the enterprising Imperial Overseer Abbotangelo, who was searching for a way to supplement the Imperial military's might against Mandalorian aggressors. While not yet widely in service, it is only a matter of time before the walker becomes a mainstay on the Imperial front-lines.

The AT-AC is an immense machine designed to level whole squadrons of enemy tanks, and its power supply is representative of this fact. A large Fusion generator is placed in the core of the vehicle just behind the cabin, which gives power to the four armored legs. Each leg takes one step, followed by another in order to move. The Hull is composed mainly of the same material used in starship construction, Impervium, making the vehicle heavy, but incredibly well armored. The Armament consists of a pair of Heavy Blaster cannons mounted on the top of the cabin, each having the capability to swivel to the sides by a Meter, giving them a wider field of fire. When coming up against harder targets, the cannons can also be twin linked and after a period of charging, can fire with the power equivalent to a turbolaser blast. As well as four repeating medium blaster cannons used to deter any infantry.

The ultimate design philosophy consists of being the biggest target on the battlefield, and being able to take the punishment that comes with it all the while destroying enemy emplacements and armor. It doesn't concern itself with speed or maneuverability to take down enemy armor, and is more likely to step on, and crush, an enemy tank than try and outrun one. Its role is ultimately to make sure other Imperial assets take a little harm as possible while dishing out as much as possible by itself.

The machine is largely untested in the field, and while designed by very smart people using the most advanced military technology available when creating what would be a mass produced assault vehicle, it is unknown how its mechanical and computer components will hold up under the strain of combat.

Its armor is almost entirely built with starship grade materials, Impervium being the most commonly used material. This makes the AT-AC largely unaffected by anything smaller than a heavy laser cannon. It does have a few week points, those being the reinforced Ceraglass cabin window which while no where near as resistant as the rest of the structure, is still impervious to most light to medium small arms fire. There are segments on the legs that are not reinforced with Impervium, as the metal became too heavy to allow the legs to move properly if used in the joints. Instead, the joints of the legs are built with Duranium. It is also designed to be able to remain mobile if some of the legs are removed, with the main vehicle only stopping its movement if each leg is removed or power is cut from the fusion generator. Its movement ability would be reduced by about ten kilometers each leg removed, until each leg is removed and it cannot move anymore. Even then, unless the power generator is removed, the vehicle is supposed to be able to remain shooting until the power source gives out.

The Generator itself is largely left out in the open, the heat it generates and its size making it hard to provide it the same protection as the rest of the body. It sits just behind the main cabin, and if one were to be able to get behind or under the enormous vehicle that would be the easiest part of entire beast to destroy and would effectively render the walker crippled. It wouldn't explode however, merely shutdown using a simple computer that detects critical damage, sparing the crew inside.

LEGALITY
Illegal for private ownership.

INTENT
To use as the object for a plot, and to create a first generation Imperial Walker similar to an AT-AT, as well as make a vehicle that would be fun to use in combat.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes, this is a newly created Imperial war machine and would require 4-5 threads to acquire.

Arthur Smoke

FACTION: United Protectorate

RANK: Imperial Senator

SPECIES: Human

HOMEWORLD: Ossus

AGE: 28

HEIGHT: 6'3

WEIGHT: 204 LBS

Force Sensitive: No

[tabs][/tabs]
[tabs]
[tab=Biography]Arthur began his life on Ossus, which was conveniently the planet he he would end ups spending the majority of his life on. His parents were devout Imperial patriots, which was almost a requirement for living on Ossus, which held the public headquarters of the vaunted Imperial Intelligence.

This attitude rubbed off on Arthur as he grew up, and much like many of his friends and peers, he dreamed of joining the glorious Imperial military. Such was not to be however, as it was discovered Arthur had a heart defect that was potentially life threatening if he was put under battlefield conditions. This didn't however, prevent him from pursuing an alternate career in Imperial Intelligence.

While he couldn't act as an agent as he might have wanted, he was still able to assist in operations from behind the scenes. He spent three years as an Interrogator, before eventually being moved to Internal affairs once his investigative personality and aptitude for information gathering was noticed by his higher ups.

He ended up being a proficient 'morale' officer, weeding out defectors within Imperial Intelligence, and his name was often brought up when agents were under investigation in other branches. While much of the heavy lifting was required to be left to other more physically able agents and soldiers, Arthur still managed to maintain an aura of fear despite being a largely non-physical or confrontational person. He was dangerous, because he could talk even the most proficient agents into a corner that they couldn't get out of.

This all changed when the United Protectorate was formed. While he initially had nothing but disdain for the organization, he soon found that it was a place he could increase his personal standing and allow him to influence matters on the galactic stage as opposed to his previous small scale operations within Imperial Intelligence. So, he began campaigning both within Intelligence and on Ossus to allow him to act as a senator within this new coreward government.

Against several other more proficient and experienced politicians, Arthur was in for a difficult fight for the position. However, thanks to numerous favors and his own silver tongue, he manged to gain the position, and officially left Imperial Intelligence. Though he still retained many contacts within the organization.[/tab]
[tab=Personality]Arthur Smoke is a generally charming handsome man when he wants to be. However several years working effectively as an Internal affairs agent for Imperial Intelligence has left him paranoid of everyone and everything. He is on edge most of the time, though he rarely ever lets that mannerism show in his day to day life. But of you knew what to look for, you could see how his eyes study everyone, and his body is always slightly tense.

He has a mild sadistic streak. He enjoys seeing people caught out in lies, or hurt when they make mistakes. He is the kind of man to point out every flaw in your argument just to get you angry so he can paint you as an uncooperative hothead not fit for the conversation. Because of this he has few friends outside of those he made in Internal Affairs, but he otherwise doesn't particularly care about that. Everyone is just a means to an end for him.[/tab]
[tab=Skills]Arthur's main strengths lay in his ability to talk to people. While he may not be any better at the actual art of conversation than anyone else, he makes up for this by bullying and forcing his ideas and ideals onto other people. He does his best to take up as much time talking during interviews, not allowing anyone else to speak in order to get his message across.

He spent several years as an Internal Affairs agent, and prior to that as an Interrogator for Imperial Intelligence. These experiences have allowed him to gain a deep understanding of how people work, which he exploits with the glee of any sociopath.

He might have wished in his younger years to be a soldier, but because of an incurable heart defect, he can't handle too many bursts of extreme stress, lest he risk heart failure. He does his best to remain physically fit, but this has also begun to affect his health in other ways as well.[/tab]

Force Sensitive: Yes

Biography: Born on Vardos, Ash was subject to the cultural ramifications of Imperial rule. While most of the galaxy had shunned and derided both the Empire and the first order, there were worlds where their fascistic rule and propaganda was welcomed with open arms. Vardos, was one of those worlds. Even decades later, the internal political and cultural landscape of the planet was at odds with itself, and its people were constantly arguing and fighting over past glories.

None of this particularly mattered to Ash prior to a riot, which unfortunately turned violent. At fourteen he was skimmed by a blaster bolt, which rocketed just past his face burning off most of the skin and muscle in and around his cheek, leaving his teeth visible and his right eye blinded. He doesn't know which side of the argument shot him, but it didn't really matter. His face was beyond repair, and he couldn't afford the tremendously expensive treatments to even begin to attempt to repair the damage.

So, embittered towards life and all things in general, he left. He wandered the stars for three years, before arriving at Ajan Kloss, looking to see the fabled new Jedi temple. There, he discovered his sensitivity to the force, and despite initial misgivings about the supposedly anti-Imperial space wizards, joined their order. From there he embarked on a journey of personal healing, eventually reaching the rank of Jedi Knight.

Personality: Ash might be described as sullen, and despite slowly healing from the emotional damage the wound to his face had caused, he is still a generally bitter man. Though perhaps that is also because of where he spends his time. He learned the technique of force healing with the hopes it could heal his face, but finding that even the force couldn't do it, he decided to put the knowledge to use anyway and traveled the galaxy to war torn sites and assisted in hospitals and battlefields.

Though often this is at the exclusion of all else. He never remembers to relax or 'turn off' so his mental state suffers for it. He is constantly around atrocity and failure, and people's initial reaction when they first look at his face does nothing for his esteem. He is a stressed workaholic who has seen far too much already.

Abilities: Force Heal, Telekinesis, Trained Paramedic.

Possesions: Orange Curved Hilt Lightsaber, First Aid Kit, DG.7 Heavy Blaster Pistol

What is going to happen in your plot?
Ash has a vision from the force, showing him the results of an excursion by four adventurers three weeks in the future. They had gone in search of Dromund Kaas on the orders of of an unknown being, looking for a particular dark side artifact and when they find it, they unleash a terrible evil created long ago that had been gaining power for millennia. (Kinda like this) Ash and his buddies must follow the path that the Adventurers would take in order to catch them either before they can find Dromund Kaas and unleash the evil and secure the artifact, or stop the evil thing from leaving Dromund Kaas to wreak havoc on the galaxy.
What other writers (and their characters) will be a part of this?
How many threads will this plot have?

5
Include opposition type for each thread (DM, dice, ASK/OPEN, etc):
Thread 1: Ask Self Dm
Thread 2: Ask Self Dm
Thread 3: Ask Dice
Thread 4: Ask Dice or DM
Thread 5: Ask Staff DM
What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game?” Link any items you’re seeking if applicable.
Secure an old sith Artifact and present it the Jedi council to determine what to do with it as well as stopping the rise of, or killing a terrible darkside demon.
Do you need any involvement of canon/site NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
Will need a staff DM for Jedi council Members.

Ranier Carolus Stroud
F ACTION: Indie
RANK: N/A
SPECIES: Human
HOMEWORLD: Hapes
AGE: 29
HEIGHT: 6'0
WEIGHT: 204 LBS
Force Sensitive: Yes
Biography: Ranier Carolus Stroud began his life as a minor noblewoman's son in the Hapes Consortium. By all accounts his upbringing was ordinary for those of his peers, he was educated in etiquette, politics, good breeding and anti-assassination skills as well as many other upper class Hapan lessons.. He took to his lessons willingly, and while not exactly looking forward to his inevitable future as the consort of some noblewoman, wasn't against the idea. He was appropriately willing to 'do his duty' in arranged marriages should they ever come, and was otherwise conditioned with the general misandry of his society.

He was skilled, smart, and loved his home all of which made him a good choice for any prospective noblewoman to take on as a consort. Ultimately however, a botched pirate raid ended the female line of his mothers noble house, which ended many prospects for him in the cutthroat world of Hapan politics. He was reduced to being simply a rich commoner, as opposed to a poor noble because of this, so at nineteen, finding little in the way of a future on his home world he bought a ship and intended to travel the galaxy.

During his travels he picked up a fascination with history, with a specific focus on Imperial history. Not just the most recent Empire however, but the stories and few fragmented accounts of the hundred year darkness and its many subsequent governments. Through this interest in history he began collecting force artifacts. Most were baubles and were generally useless beyond artistic or historic value, but they spurred an interest in the subject that allowed him to begin to notice the signs of Force sensitivity in himself.

Personality: Stroud is often regarded as a kind, genial and polite man. He defers quite often to the supposed wisdom of the 'fairer sex' and this makes him come across at times as meek which is not the case. He takes pride in himself, and doesn't particularly care what people view him as, but his upbringing has drilled such actions into him so deeply that he had convinced himself that he is genuinely lesser than a woman.

He takes pride in his appearance, though not for the status it may bring to him or for how he affects others around him. He enjoys fashion because its a form of expression, but he strongly dislikes the following of trends. He wears a set of effectively decorative armor as his daily attire because he wants to, not because he fears attack but because it makes him feel good to project that kind of image for himself.

He has a love of life and history, making him optimistic and a generally peppy person to be around which has been known to irk some of his more dour associates. He has a certain set of skills that lend itself well to the business world, and he has found that in general he enjoys making money and doing business. Currently he has yet to settle down, and is instead working on building up a personal collection of historical and force artifacts as well as acquiring connections for the beginnings of his own company.

Abilities: Counter-Intelligence, Etiquette, Lightfoil fencing, Politics, Business.

Possesions: BD-510 Stargale Light Courier, Lightfoil from the Tapani Sector, 3 Vibro-knives, DG.7 Heavy Blaster Pistol + permit.
