"In the imminent event of great galactic turmoil, martial law is to be enforced upon all worlds and planetary systems within the Grand Empire of the Chiss Ascendancy for the safety and security of its society and citizens."

Ascendancy Law within the borders of the Chiss Ascendancy has dictated many of the mandatory regulations and Laws still in effect to the current era. In relation to the declaration of Ascendancy Law 43, the following laws, 026, 053.1, 092 and 107.2, and defense protocols 048, 064, 065, 059, 073, and 105.2, have been edited or, in some cases, added to general Ascendancy law.

Ascendancy Law 026: All citizens, military personnel of the Chiss Ascendancy, and civilians within Chiss Borders are required, by law, to classificatory DNA scan-documentaries, along with other bio-scanning functions, including, but not limited to, retinal scans, vocal recognition scans, and physiological recognition scans, for the purpose of keeping records of all Chiss Ascendancy dealings, affiliated and non-affiliated persons included.

Ascendancy Law 053.1: DNA information, as well as other documented information on the individual of interest, is cataloged and held on record within the Ascendancy archives for use as any Chiss military leader or judge may see fit.

Ascendancy Law 092: Military governors are to be assigned for each individual planet and section of space under Martial Law. These Military governors have absolute power to establish laws and deal with law violators as they see fit.

Ascendancy Law 107.2: All significantly ranked personnel and officials of the Ascendancy are forbidden to travel alone. They are to be accompanied by a company of soldiers or an elite squad at all times. This is for each person's protect, and is not to be violated.

Ascendancy Law 059: All communication networks, holonet feeds, private channels and broadcasts, other electronic devices, transceivers or transmitters of any kind, within the boundaries of the Chiss Ascendancy may be tapped into at any time to ensure governmental security and eliminate entities with hostile intentions against the Ascendancy.

Ascendancy Law 073: Anyone caught refusing to abide by Chiss laws, new or old, are to be immediately subject to a military court and tried for their crimes. Punishment is to be delivered as seen fit by the military governor of the violator's scene of crime.

Ascendancy Defense Protocol 048: Hyperspace lanes crossing the Chiss Border into Alliance space, or any other unaffiliated space outside of the Ascendancy, are to be thoroughly guarded by Chiss officials. Any ships traversing these routes are to be thoroughly inspected by Chiss officials as well before being allowed in or out. Access is restricted to unauthorized persons via Empion mines spread across the galactic lanes and border space. Any unauthorized attempts past the Chiss border will be investigated and result in severe punishment to the participating violators, punishments are to be determined by the current military governor of the violated space.

Ascendancy Defense Protocol 064: Ascendancy star systems have mandatory military garrisons to be dispatched across designated worlds as seen fit, and naval security and protection in the forms of Space Stations and Orbital defense guns on every Chiss planet. A Local defense force, consisting of no less than two(2) Capital ships, four(4) supporting ships, and twenty(20) squads of fighters are to be present at every Chiss planet that has need of such a defense in the event that the space station and turrets are not sufficient.

Ascendancy Defense Protocol 065: All planets belonging to the Ascendancy and inside friendly territory will be equipped with one(1) Space station for orbital defense in the unlikely chance of an assault against the Ascendancy. The space station will be of varying sizes and of varying weaponry, please see the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet specifications for more details.

Ascendancy Defense Protocol 105.2: Stellar vessels are scanned for potentially harmful IED components, chemicals and secreted explosive armaments for the security of all Ascendancy planets and starports. In addition, Chiss Military officers have the right to confiscate any object they deem as dangerous to planets and starports at any time during any search.


All laws and changed protocols are effective immediately and may be subject, but limited to, change, abolishment, expansion, or clarification at any time should the Council of Eminence see fit to do so.​
