Intent: since the new timeline and new standard for canon is limited for the moment I want a basic weapon that is not overly militarised and unrealistic for none-miliary based character can use.

the “Brawler Blaster” was created to accommodate a less military based buyer the CMBP-12 is a domestic self defense weapon meant to be a fairly mediocre to higher end class of product. a number of independent gunsmiths have adapted basic customisation such as wooden or custom polymer grips or sights because of its wide use. the CMBP-12 got it’s nickname as the “brawler blaster” because of its knuckle guard forward of the grip. because it lasts the amount of rounds as some other blasters use it runs out of ammo faster as well as its short range makes one sometime end up ‘brawling’ with their opponent. it is relatively light, not overly bulky and is perfect for an individual looking for home protection or a reliable sidearm.
it’s price is not too steep and is easy to manufacture allowing for large numbers to enter circulation and become a familiar sight for some law enforcement offices. the handguard and multi-tested safety make it very reliable and keep the user from self harm. it’s damage output is substantial and is even used by some for concealed carry who want more packing power than a hold-out blaster.
not as rugged as some weapons, the CMBP-12 has become nicknamed “guard-gun” because it is so often used as a self defense weapon or for law enforcement. it’s recoil is a little bit greater than a standard blaster pistol but its pragmatic realistic design allow for trained marksman to have a decent grouping at twenty meters but after that it’s accuracy drops off steeply.[/fancybox2]

Iron sights
basic iron sights come standard with this weapon and further define it’s primitive appearance. it is possible to add more advanced sights but most handlers of this weapon do not look for such flashy or expensive additions to such a standard performing weapon.
Built in laser sight
because most buyers lack any training the manufacturer soon realized that an adrenaline filled civilian would severely loose the ability to hit their target accurately and so the original model (CMBP-11) were almost discontinued completely in favor of the newer more pragmatic model
underbarrel rail
there are a limited number of attachments for this weapon and most often are just a variation of flashlights or alternate laser sights. some users file this off completely for ease of unholstering and quickdraw.
ammo variety
because different metropolitan areas have different laws on basters some can be outfitted with solely stun capabilies as well as larger cartridges up to 15 rounds though suffer higher malfunctions and lower reliability if the damage output is not lowered to that of a light blaster. [/fancybox2]
