Ideas I had for a Mission Pack focusing on Corellia. Right now many Rebel and Imperium mission are stand-alones that don't impact the main story very much. A thought I had was a multi-tiered Mission Pack that focuses on Corellia in the fight to bring Corellia into a contested world and the subsequent operations taking place there. The first tier focuses on preparation in advance of the Siege of Corellia, with the second tier focusing on the onset of the conflict with tiers 3 and 4 during the middle/end. Note that this isn't an event/pre-determined event, but rather missions that build up to a battle for Corellia (aka Tier 4).

Tier 1
  • (Imp) Second Battle of Yag'Dhul: a joint task force comprised of Givins and Tetans attacks Yag'Dhul in an attempt to retake the planet, along with drawing attention to Yag'Dhul and drawing available reinforcements away from towards Corellia. The Givin Domain remnants and the Tetans are both NPC forces I've used repeatedly for mission fodder before who were pro-Rebellion but never ended up joining, thus their end here allows for some insurgency actions without harming the Rebellion the faction. The mission basically involves carrying out the final blow against the enemy forces.
  • (Imp) The Two Warmasters: Ubiqtorate is in shambles, barely operating at any level. Imperial intelligence has caught wind that Darth Zlogonje will be making an appearance at Tralus (it's in the Corellian system). The Imperium sends a unit to eliminate Zlogonje plus Freido (an NPC who was the traitorous governor-general of Ord Radama who led the planet's secession), plus some Corellian resistance leaders. Like above, Zlogonje and Freido are NPC enemies from the past who are basically insignificant but are already established as Imperium villains and can be eliminated without hurting the Rebellion the faction. An idea I was entertaining was that the Rebellion could have tipped off the Imperium in order to eliminate a couple higher-leveled Coterie members so that they don't have to deal with them anymore. I was pretty much grasping for straws in brainstorming pre-Siege missions. Basically a way for me to eliminate those NPCs that aren't really that significant in the long run.
  • (Rebel) The Green Jedi: Rebels carry out a prison break on a Drall prison in order to free Green Jedi imprisoned on the planet in order to obtain contacts with the local resistance and boost their numbers when the Siege starts.
  • (Rebel) Battle of Devaron: My thought was rather than waste time doing a battle for Devaron (situated between Corellia and the Rebel-conquered Bestine), the battle could be handwaved a rebel victory. This mission would basically involve taking over a vital area on Devaron.

I was thinking Tier 1 could also spawn a couple side missions. These would be optional and would not need to be completed in order to reach Tier 2 missions:
  • (Rebel) Givin Betrayal: The Givin forces at Yag'Dhul will be defeated. I was thinking they fought there not with the intention of being used as a decoy, but believing the Rebellion would truly help them retake their homeland. In the end all they had to support them were Tetan remnants. Both forces were defeated in the Second Battle of Yag'Dhul. The Givin leader, Froahl, could feel betrayed by the Rebellion. When agents of the Rebellion go to rendezvous with the surviving Froahl, Froahl betrays the agents and attacks them, both in revenge and he also could have been promised amnesty by Ebberla (who was the original Jedi contact for the Givins). The mission would involve the agents thwarting the ambush.
  • (Imp) Reclaiming Honor: During the initial onset of the civil war, Ord Radama seceded, declaring loyalty to the Coterie. It was never stated the planet was retaken, so I was thinking with Friedo's death in "The Two Warmasters" that the planet finally surrenders. The mission would involve mop-up operations to reclaim the capital and eliminate any remaining resistance.

Tier 2: With Tier 2, I was wanting to have a couple skirmishes, but with individuals not fought against each other before. Instead I switched things up with Rebels fighting Hutts and Imperium fighting Indies. The outcomes of the skirmishes would affect the environment later on in the Siege. Both would be 1v1, with Manaan rules.
  • (Rebel vs. Hutt) The Selonian Tunnels: The Hutt Cartel has profited from the Imperium's control over Corellia, using the Selonian Tunnels to smuggle in supplies to terrorists and smuggling out people and stolen tech. Rebel control over Corellia would take away the massive profits coming out of the current environment on Corellia. As such, when Rebels try to gain control over the Selonian Tunnels, which the Hutts have an interest in (and have made prior agreements with the Selonians), the Hutts try to fight off the Rebels. Ultimately, the outcome would determine whether Rebels have any mobility in the Selonian Tunnels to operate more effectively in their guerrilla warfare.
  • (Imp vs. Indie) The Soul of CorSec: CorSec I was thinking could have been molded into pro-Imperium over the last few years, now largely under its influence. It would depend on who the Indie is, but I was thinking the Indie could try to attack the CorSec Academy in order to make a pre-emptive strike against CorSec so that during the Siege they will be more disorganized and fewer numbers, either out of revenge or hired by the Rebellion. Ultimately, the outcome would determine the organization and numbers of CorSec operatives.

Tier 3: Tier 3 is when the Siege of Corellia stabilizes for the time being until the final campaign of the Third Galactic Civil War. Both are missions, not skirmishes, and are a way to concrete powerhouses for both sides.
  • The Defense of Corellian Engineering: The Imperium manages to stop the rebel's invasion of Corellian Engineering, securing the shipyards as under the Imperium's control.
  • The Victory at Black Hole: The Rebels take over the hypermatter refinery known as Black Hole. The success of this mission leads to a Rebel powerbase that the Imperium can't easily attack, as destroying it would be devastating to the planet.

Tier 4: Tier 4 I envision taking place in the final weeks of the timeline, concurrent with some of the other final battles of the timeline. It basically involves the Rebellion making a final attempt for full control over Corellia, the (Second) Battle of Corellia. Like with other Final Battles, there can be as many battlefields as necessary, though I've brainstormed three. My thoughts of this mission pack is it allows members to work towards one of the final battles and have their mission contributions contribute to something. Thus regular missions pave the way for the end, rather than solely all about the PvP.
  • The Destruction of the Shipyards: This is recycled from an earlier idea I had. To make for an interesting PvP environment, I was thinking the shipyards could be devastatingly damaged and causes part of it to begin to descend, with the structure spiraling or losing gravity. This would cause the area to be constantly moving (start off standing on the floor then on the ceiling then on a wall, etc.) or in zero-g.
  • The Riots of Coronet: a fight taking place in the capital
  • The Battle of Gus Talon: one battlefield could take place on Corellia's moon.

Thoughts?
