((Sorry it's short))

The bounty hunter's guild headquarters were a very strange place to Carth, although, no place felt familiar to him no matter the setting. He was perched on a bench, the cigarette hanging from his mouth showed his general disinterest for anyone else, and became his main focus. "So how long's this guy gonna take? I've got a trade to learn." The dull ash sprinkled about his feet reminded the man of that wretched testing facility where he was trained to kill. Thinking about that is a waste of time Carth...

(( No worries, I'll be filling in for Horizon for now. ))

With a sigh and the repeated drumming of his fingers against the wall of the turbo lift, Ares Varga, life time bounty hunter and current leader of the BHG took the down time of riding the lift to read up on his most recent recruit. From what he could tell, the trainee had very little on file, appearing from seemingly nowhere less than a decade ago. It didnt really matter to the armored hunter, he would train the man just the same as every other recruit he had trained over the years.

Stepping off the lift shortly after its doors parted, Ares pocketed the datapad he had been reading as he walked through the bounty hall's main lobby towards who the file told him was Carth Sunfell. Folding his hands behind his back and taking a more official stance, the bounty hunter addressed the sitting man.

" Carth Sunfell I presume? I am Ares Varga, and I will be your trainer today. if you'd please follow me... We can begin. "

With that said, Ares turned on the ball of his armored foot and began walking in the opposite direction back towards the turbo lifts. However, he averted his direction at the last second to open a door next to the reception counter. Motioning for Carth to follow, the bounty hunter stepped through the door and began the long walk to his office. The trainee would find himself following along in a long hallway, its only features being the many doors on either wall and the dim lights above.

Abruptly stopping, Ares turned to one of the seemingly indistinguishable doors and typed in the passcode with practiced precision. The door opened silently, and without speaking Ares stepped into the newly opened portal and took a seat behind his desk. Activating the desks built in computer, Ares sighed again as he waited for the recruit to take a seat .

Carth followed the man to a room, and sat in the nearest chair. He was still studying the man, what he was like. I've got nothing. Having given up, Carth decided to just focus on the task at hand. "Forgive me for being rude, but what's first on the agenda?" Slow and emotionless, Carth had some sort of sinister look in his eye, but his mouth was unwavering.

Without looking away from the holo-projected screen that emitted from the surface of the desk, Ares addressed the new recruit.

" Psych Eval. I need to get a better understanding of where your motives lie before the training can actually start. "

Typing as he spoke, Ares began to fill out Carth's file that would remain in the guild's records indefinitely and would also make up the bulk of the information on the trainee's Guild card should he complete training.

" First things first.... Have you or do you ever see yourself killing an innocent? Keep in mind, the Guild's definition of an innocent is any sentient that does not have an existing bounty on their head. "

"I have never, and will never kill an innocent." Carth sounded as if he were mocking the man, but he was being honest. "My motive is simple. I don't have a family, a home, and the only talent I have is apprehending and killing. I need money to live in a galaxy like this." This time, Carth 'failed' to mention his search for his family name, but only because he didn't believe it was any ones business but his own.

" Good to know, such a moral compass is required in order to be accepted in the Guild. "

As continued to type as he spoke, his eyes glued to the screen in front of him from behind his visored helmet.

" Next question. Do you have any addictions and/or are you affiliated to any faction that would conflict with the Guild's interests? "

"Addictions...well I smoke, but that's about it. speaking of which..." Carth pulled a cigarette from his jacket pocket, and lit it in his mouth. "No, I don't have any affiliations with anybody."

" Cigarettes are an acceptable substance, as long as they dont cloud your judgement when the time comes to make life or death situations... Which I'm sure they wont. "

Pausing from his examination of the recruits response, Ares' attention had been taken up by a urgent message that had arisen at the lower corner of his holo-screen. Enlarging it and quickly skimming it over, the bounty hunter sighed deeply. The message involved a fellow Guild member being trapped out in the galaxy somewhere and needing immediate assistance, something that brought the bounty hunter to his next question.

" Let me phrase a scenario for you.... Lets say you just took out one of the toughest bounties of your career and you manage to find what planet its hiding on relatively easily. Before you can hit planet side and find your mark however, you are called by a fellow guild member near your current system and they are in dire need of assistance. Would you postpone your hunt and help your fellow hunter? "

"I'd help my comrade. A bounty is a bounty, but a bounty hunter is a person." Carth was beginning to relax as he sat back and watched the smoke billow toward the ceiling.
