"Force Drain is the reason I am able to command so much power at such a comparatively young age. Being able to strip your opponents of every iota of their strength and transfer it to yourself is incredibly useful." Nathaniel said. "It is good that you have read on it, as describing how to harness the power is not something easily taught unless one has a basic idea of what they're doing"

The lizard sat on the floor, his body inundated with fear and the other emotions that overran ones mind when expecting death in a painful fashion, especially one so unavoidable as this.

"A warning before we begin. Some become hopelessly addicited and reliant on this power to fuel themselves, unable to function or even exist properly without constant usage of it. Do not fall into this trap. Use the power only when appropriate and not on things you can kill through other means or when you will not gain anything from draining the target. A Jedi Master is an amazing opportunity, a Padawan is a waste of energy unless near Knighthood." Nathaniel said, his voice serious. "You no doubt can sense the Force in other beings, it is one of the Core powers. Drain, in a simple sense, is ripping that from the being. Do you understand? If so, Drain this fool. If not, merely ask and I will expand further."

Koran towered over the Trandoshan and looked at the lizard with disgust. He was eager to just ignite his saber and chop off this one's head, but draining this one seemed so much better.

He took a deep breath and let the Force flow through his veins. If Koran wasn't such an experienced Force User, and hadn't been using the Force throughout his entire life, he might have had more trouble using this power. But the Kiffar was relatively old and already had so much knowledge about the Force.

He reached out his right hand and could feel the Force within the Trandoshan. It was swirling through the lizard's body. It was possible to syphon this energy from the Trandoshan. It was possible indeed.

The next moment Koran's eyes were lit by a blood red glow and Koran felt how the Trandoshan's power was sucked out of the body. It was a new experience to Koran and it felt great. He couldn't let go of it and continued to drain the poor soul until it dropped to the floor. Dead. Koran had consumed the Trandoshan.

He laughed. For the first time since he joined the Bogan, he laughed. It was not just a laugh, but a wicked cackle. The sound of his evil laugh filled the room until Koran finally calmed down. The glow in his eyes slowly faded and the Kiffar stared at his hand palms in amazement. So this was Drain.

"I..." he whispered, "consumed him..."

Nathaniel watched onwards as Koran performed the Drain, it was perfect and tore the lifeforce from the pathetic trandoshan before him. A cold chill filled the room as the Dark Side flocked to it, feeding on the anger, fear and death present.

"Yes, Koran, you did. I'll give you an option now." Nathaniel said, it was one of the few times he would let him dictate where the lesson progressed to. "We can continue training Force techniques or we can move to lightsaber combat and come back to this later on. Keep in mind that Drain will be intergral in all drills, so do not make your decision based solely on using your new technique." He said, running his hand along the crimson-bladed lightsaber at his side. Lightsaber combat was one of Nathaniels favorite things to cover, the meditative like state he entered boarded on Dark Side possession especially when using the sixth form.

Koran Mak's red dark-side eyes went down to the deactivated lightsaber he held in his hand. Slowly he looked to the dead body that once was the Trandoshan and then finally manage to tear his eyes off it and turn towards Nathaniel. It still felt odd to call someone ten years younger than himself 'master', but he did say the word. If only to show his respect to a greater being than himself.

"All I know about the lightsaber are bits of Shii-Cho, for every Jedi has been taught the basics of the first form, I know how to improvise with my lightsaber and I have mastered the form known as Ataru, for I've been using the fifth throughout my entire life. I've been so caught up in my personal little quest to unravel the mysteries of the Force, that I almost forgot about expanding my lightsaber techniques. I wish to learn more about the saber if you are willing to teach me, my master..."

The words 'my master' sounded sincere, not mocking or anything, but Koran truly saw the man as a master. Nathaniel knew so much about the Force that Koran did not, and he probably knew so much about the lightsaber that Koran did not, that Nathaniel deserved to be called a master.

Still clutching the rather large saber hilt in his right hand, he waited for Nathaniel to speak and give his new instructions. Koran brushed a few dreadlocks out of his face and waited patiently, wondering what he would be taught next.

Nathaniel's eyes lacked the blood-red hue of Koran's, but that was more a preventative measure to stop the Dark Side from corrupting his looks. An assassin is far more effective when he is thought to be just another Coruscanti noblemen meeting with the Jedi. His green orbs stared down toward the Trandoshan corpse, sucked of all life and transfered to his student.

"I'm well-versed in the Jedi teachings. I may have not undergone them first hand but I had many a friend who did, and would also die by my hand for it later." He said, pausing for a breath before continuing. "Ataru is not my favorite form. Whilst it is certainly agile and may have fit your younger smaller fram well, it is time to change. I have mastered two forms, both the sixth form, Niman, my favorite, and the fifth, Shien, for it's incredible utility against blaster fire. As this will be a focus of your training for some time, I'll allow you to pick which form you wish to learn. The sixth form is highly based on one's creativity, and takes most near a decade to master fully, keep this in mind."

Nathaniel stood in a relaxed stance with his weight planted on his back leg and the palm of his right hand resting on the bottom of his lightsabers hilt as he awaited his students answer.

Niman, a form one of his own acolytes is practicing. Then there was Shien, a very practical form and perhaps easier to learn. Koran highly disagreed that Ataru didn't suit him, for his body never had been an obstacle while performing the complex and energetic moves, but he decided not to say anything about that. Although the man before him was much younger and Koran maybe had more experience in life, the young man was his master and he knew it was better not to argue with a master.

"I have read a little bit about the forms," he said, "and as much as I would like to learn Niman, I'll choose Shien instead. When I said I didn't expand on lightsaber techniques, it does not mean I haven't read about the theories on the many forms. Back with the Jedi I used to study them a lot. But like I said, I would like to learn Shien."

Nathaniel nodded to his student before him, Shien was an excellent form, if a bit boring. One could certainly not doubt its effectiveness, especially against blaster fire, but it just lacked the free-flow of Niman. However, the student before him already had a more open form mastered. Perhaps a bit more structure in the form would do him well.

A snap of his fingers and three droids in the training room came to life, all armed with weak blasters. Nathaniel drew his own lightsaber but did not yet ignite the blade. "The fifth form, Shien-variant, is focused on defense against blasters and other projectile weapons. In this reguard, it stands above all the others in my opinion. More of my enimies have fallen from redirected blaster fire then from my lightsaber's plasma touch." He said, taking in a breath and igniting his blade and assuming the opening stance, the lightsaber arching downwards behind his head. "Fire." Nathaniel said, and so the three droids did, opening up with light repeaters towards the black clothed assassin. His body and lightsaber twisted and bent, his movement sped up greatly by the Force. The blaster fire directed back with ease and precision, slamming into the training droids and dropping them from where they floated in the air.

"Given your experience, I'll assume you can block a few blaster bolts. For now, practice the form and stance and tell me when you're ready. Then, we can begin live fire training."

Raising his saber he took the Shien opening stance, like Nathaniel had showed him. Koran would try out the different stances and styles of the form and yes, he already knew how to deflect blaster bolts. This form would mainly help him approve that skill so he would become a much better warrior.

After practicing for a while he said: "I am ready, master."

((OOC: Short, but I didn't know what else to say XD ))

Nathaniel studied his student as he adjusted himself to the new form. He took to it well but needed to keep his feet planted a little more. "This form is very different from Ataru but you're adjusting well. Make sure to keep your weight planted down so you have a good base." Nathaniel said, a bit of pride in the student getting audible in his voice. Having a naturally skilled student made life much easier.

A few taps on his com on Nathaniel's wrist had a small group of armed slaves sent to to the room, armed with blaster weaponry. Their blasters would be set low enough that their armour could protect them from it, but it would still have enough lethality to be dangerous to Koran. Within a few minutes they arrived. "Form up, circle around the Kiffar." Nathaniel said, stepping away with his own lightsaber drawn as the four slaves made a wide circle around Koran. "Ready....Aim..." Nathaniel began, giving Koran enough time to prepare.

"Fire."

Using the Force to enhance his body's reflexes and strength had become a second nature to Koran throughout the years. When the blaster bolts were fired, he did just that. Calling upon the Force and utilizing Force Speed. The Force guided him through the process and while some bolts simply missed him, others were deflected back to the slaves themselves. Although Koran was big, he was still very fast.

He did not do anything to counter attack because he wanted to practice Shien. In the beginning he had a lot of trouble holding back, because he was used to quickly deflect, then taking out the enemy. It took him a while to adjust, but he quickly got the hang of it. It did not seem as difficult as he initially thought it would be.

Nathaniel nodded and grinned ever-so-slightly as his student went to work, redirecting the blaster fire well. Reaching out telepathically to the slaves, he told them to adjust their blasters to the "Kill" setting. Hopefullt Koran would notice the slaves fiddling with their blaster rifles and adjust his style accordingly.

"Ready......Aim..." He said before briefly pausing."Fire."

Bolts were fired at him, but Koran did not try to dodge. He stood like a statue and he began to deflect the bolts, aided by Force Speed. He was like a demon, moving at superhuman speed. The room was filled by the light that emitted from his crimson energy blade and the blaster bolts. Every time he deflected a bolt with his blade, sparks danced from the blade and flew around his ears.

At first he deflected the bolts away from him, not really caring whether they hit the slaves or not, but then he decided to try to redirect them back to the gunners. He did not immediately succeed, but after a while the bolts crashed into the chests of the slaves and knocked them off their feet. They fell over onto the ground and were dead. Killed by their own projectiles.

Koran deactivated his lightsaber and let his arms fall to his sides, still clenching the hilt in his right hand. He tore his gaze from the lifeless bodies on the floor and looked over to his master. He remained silent as he waited for a reaction. He did realize how efficient this lightsaber form was and already he was glad he had chosen Shien. It would surely help him overcome his opponents easier in the future.

Nathaniel watched from the sideline as blaster bolts bounched from Koran's lightsaber and around the room before the Kiffar decided to return them to their origin, knocking the slaves to the floor.

"Excellent Koran." Nathaniel said, his smooth voice coming from the corner of the room. An idea flashed in his head as he remebered Koran's initial test. "Time for a more...comprehensive.. exam." He said, his own lightsaber's hilt flashing into his right hand, the famaliar snap-hiss of his violet blade extending as the plasma sword was activated. As his lightsaber came to life, Nathaniel let loose the floodgates and flooded his body with the Force.

In the blink of an eye, Nathaniel closed the gap between the two and would be coming in strong with a one-handed overhand slash with his right hand. Although Koran was physically larger then Nathaniel, it was likely that between the speed of him launching forward and his own augmentation of his strength through the Force, Nathaniel's strength would suprise (if not outright intimidate) the Crusader before him.

Koran immediately turned towards Nathaniel when this one leaped into the air. Because Koran had been using the Force for such a long time, pretty much his entire life, he could sense sudden attacks such as Nathaniel's.

Koran ignited his own lightsaber and then, instead of backing away and parrying, he jumped up from the floor as well and in mid-air he slashed his own lightsaber against Nathaniel's. Sparks flew around his ears and as he was aided by the Force, he showed a strength few possessed.

He landed behind his Master and as he turned around he said with a loud voice, one he only dared to use when speaking to Acolytes up to this point: "You underestimate me, Master! I might not be such a skilled assassin such as yourself, but I do know the tricks of dueling! Don't forget I once was a Jedi Knight back in my Jedi Days and I have been using the Force throughout my entire life! I know how to stand my ground in a duel."

He took the Shien opening stance and awaited Nathaniel's next blow.

"But," Koran added, "I understand I must learn the Shien form. So bring it on."
