Changing Tides

My father and mother were both Hutt royalty. My father was Count Kreshash Jeduid. Our family name had significant meaning on our family's history; a history of either Jedi or those who sided neither with the Jedi or the Bogan. I was raised believing in Force, learning its power and training in it. I respected my father very much, and loved my mother.

Unfortunately, when I was merely twelve, my father was assassinated and my mother raped and murdered by my uncle, Senaptus Jeduid. He despised all of us, feeling we didn't deserve the royalty we had. I was next in line after my father, but wasn't old enough to be named Count. So, instead, my uncle was given the title. He thought I had burned down with the house along side my dead parents. I escaped.

I was young, but so was a new organization called the Luminado Mercenaries. I figured it couldn't hurt to join, so I did. I worked hard, following my masters' shadow. I harnessed my power and became a master of the lightsaber. I completed my missions perfectly, climbing through the ranks fast and becoming what they would call respectable.

At age twenty five, I was promoted to general and part of the council. I was more-or-less my masters' advisor, and closest friend next to General Sakaki. I was a prodigy. All the while, though, my uncle basked in his power, harrassed the Luminado for control over us. I was tired of it. Finally, I revealed my identity as the next true heir as count of Svivren. The self-titled 'Senator' was too greedy and wouldn't give it up. I eventually had him assassinated. Since they knew what my heritage was, though, I became the next Count of Svivren, vowing never to do as my Uncle did.

Nice profile, though the pic doesn't go well with a politician.

Just stumbled on this- let me know if you want to take part in the Hutt royalty so I can look over the characters and put it on a roster.

The surname looks like a portmanteau of 'jedi' and 'druid'.

You should expand the bio. Right now it looks like you just felt like making a high-ranking Hutt that's also a high-ranking Luminado with Force Powers and training.

That sort of thing can be good when pulled off correctly, but right now it's a skeleton of a history. There's no explanation behind his rapid ascent through the Luminado ranks, and there's not even a vague explanation of how he became count.

Roles of nobility are usually reserved for nobles, not the children of refugee Jedi using a Hutt world as a sanctum. You should really elucidate more of his past prior to and around becoming a count. It isn't just "then I was nominated and bam, I'm a count!" There is a vast distinction between senators and nobility, as well. Dooku was count of Serenno without being Serenno's senator; it's not a title that you gain via a vote, it's inherited.

Also, there's currently a limit of 10 characters per person. I see 12 in your signature.

Per Nevermore, if you want to be a Count you'll have to take somewhat of an active stance in the political structure. You can be a purely honorary Count, so if you're okay with that then it'll work, but if you want some sort of control over Svivren then you'll need to work for it.

That's fine.
