At first Alais, or "Lilith" while being in the presence of anyone in this group, remained on her knee to listen because she was focused entirely on his words. She echoed him once, "The Force..." but remained mostly quiet at first despite having even more questions now.

When he told her to close her eyes she finally stood up, taking a step back at the same time to put a small amount of distance between them again. There was still very little trust there —but more than she had in a long time. Her eyes closed and she... could feel it. Even though she knew it was always there, now she at least had a bare minimum understanding of it.

Because she felt so calm in the moment, her mind went back to a calmer moment in her life. One of the only moments she wasn't in pain. Before the man she trusted betrayed her. Something unexpected happened... she felt as if something wanted her to stay in that moment of peace. But as quickly as that feeling of light filled her it was extinguished by seething anger. Anger from the memory of his betrayal. Something else whispered in her head, drawing out the desire of revenge. Her fists clenched and Force stirred around her, pushing the nearby box back.

But she stopped herself there, taking a deep breath as her eyes snapped opened. She didn't want to think of the betrayal so she quickly asked one of the questions she had, "Why?" she said through clenched teeth, still struggling from the feeling she felt. "Why were we manifested? Is there any point?" Or, in other words, why did she have to suffer this existence on Nar Shaddaa.

She wasn't accustomed to shielding her emotions from others yet, and the deep spikes of anger within her shone plainly through the Force to the Legionnaire. He didn't know the source, but he knew that it was the first steps toward the dark side. And the Jedi insisted that this path that the Force clearly laid out so readily wasn't the intended way... idiots.

She lashed out in that anger, yelling at him why. Her anger wasn't something she controlled yet. She didn't know how to use it to fuel her own goals, but she would learn.

Because we're the ones who are supposed to fix the galaxy. Make the hard decisions to reset societies built on corruption. And we have the Force to do it, he said, letting her seethe in her anger for a moment.

Embrace your anger and it will give you the power to do precisely that, he said. @Dread

His explanation wasn't completely satisfying, but it gave her something . A reason for existing, instead of just to seek security in power, booze, drugs and to suffer from the pain of her past.

That didn't stop her mind flashing back to and reeling in the anger. The anger flared when he said to embrace it. He wanted her to be angry and upset? Really? This was the tipping point, she lashed out with the Force, at the box very, very close to him. If she didn't have some modicum of self-control, it would've been at him. It crashed violently into the wall behind him. What she'd done wasn't inherently dark, but it felt good to use the Force to lash out.

"You want me to EMBRACE IT? Fine!" she growled, "FINE!" once again she lashed out, throwing an arm up and extending it towards a pile of boxes. This time it was bigger, and she had no real control over the direction the boxes went. It was more of a wild push that sent everything in it's wake against the wall. The sound of the metal against metal, against cement was deafening for a moment in time.

She breathed heavily as she felt her anger manifest in small amounts in her hand. Tiny, almost impossible to see sparks jumped around between her fingers, but they dissipated when she started to feel better after lashing out. It took a handful of quickened heartbeats for her head to clear enough to realize this was what he meant. "I... I think I understand now."

Talak could feel it boiling inside her, and it didn't take long to burst out. The power blasted into the box next to him and she started yelling. She was hurling boxes around the room and he even saw, for the briefest moment, sparks around her hands.

And then it dissipated.

Throughout the entire outburst, he didn't even seem to flinch. It wasn't his first time seeing people lash out, but this time it wasn't at him. That was an improvement over some of his training experiences. Okay, fine, in those situations it was kind of his fault, but still.

Yeah. I think you're taking your first steps into a larger world, he said. Man, that was cliche, and he always seemed to say it to people. He might need to work on that in the future... or he could just keep using the same cryptic saying.

That'll give you something to think about and explore for a bit, he said, pulling out the datapad she had given him and starting to scroll through the information. He was looking for the information about the holocron, finally spotting it after several more seconds.

Our next target is on Nar Shaddaa, too, he said. Gurrba the Hutt, he said. Owns a pit fighting ring. That might be our place to start, he said, looking up at her to see if she was ready for the next phase of their little job. @Dread

It seemed her guess was right, though his answer was a little corny she tried to pretend it wasn't. He was still a weirdo, but one that had knowledge she wanted. And maybe she respected a little more because of it.

"Gurrba the Hutt.... I have heard of him. At least, I know where his fighting ring is," she answered, grabbing her datapad too. Typing in some information she tapped a button to send his datapad a location. The two datapads were connected, though only so that they could send basic messages between one another.

The location was not exactly at the hutts fighting ring, but near it. "I need to change. I don't want to be wearing this outfit there." It limited her movement because there was the possibility of the hood being pushed back off her head.

"I'll meet you at the location shortly," she added, hoping he'd comply. If he did, she'd leave and head home. Of course, not after going the opposite way, looking over her shoulder a few times to see if Tal was following. Assuming she didn't see him, she turned around and used the backstreets to head home and get dressed.
