I can now officially confirm I will have a character in the BA. His name is Jacen Aust (second post) and he will not be from any of the BA worlds but a refugee from Toprawa, a Sith territory.

Great to see continued interest - I'll update our unofficial roster this weekend with the renewed interest.

A few quick notes:

1) I love the characters I've seen here so far - keeping sharing stuff once you get it out (mayve it'll fine inspire me to write my BA guy)...

2) the "how do you feel about Force Users?" Convo is a bit old and not really an important dynamic to our faction. Im more interested in why your character is fighting (personal against sith or just fighting to defend home, etc), how they feel about the republic, etc.)

3) faction tech is in works in TT. I saw someone mention it - no need to worry, its getting done.

4) no need to make crews, squads, squadrons, etc yet. It is inhibiting because then its harder to RP with other members of the faction (we want to promote activity across the board, not just with specific peopme) AT LEAST at this point. You haven't seen the write-up. :) which should be coming to a movie theater near you soon!!

I'll be throwing in a Togorian Mandalorian for the Border Alliance. Either a Ship CO or a Ground Pounder. He fights because the Sith are A: Deeply unpleasant people to be around and are a challenge he can meet and overcome.

If you're planning on RPing with the BA, post here! Feel free to share your character idea or write-up. It's more helpful to look at each other's characters than speculate on what the structure or relationships will be for the BA - the think tank is in heavy discussion about it, and when it's ready, the admin will release it.

Anyways my character will be fighting for survival and to some extent revenge (although this is a much smaller part.) He is a refugee from a planet the Sith took over and subsequent planets he fled to were also invaded. In his mind are constantly on his tail and no matter were he runs they will "find him." As a result he has decided to turn and fight instead of just running.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't be Force sensitive.

I don't think there is anything in the rules that's says you can't do that. And while some may not like it I don't personally think there is anything wrong with someone, for example, making a Jedi who has decided to leave the order and fight for the BA because there homes planet is a BA world. On a freeform site like this I feel its not right to tell someone they can't do something because it isn't the norm. Now if they are purposefully trying to skirt the 1 faction rule that's another matter. Of course if there is a specific admin rule against it that different.

I just want to voice that while I am interested in the BA since I am more interested in the Jedi I can't create a character for it, alas.

I will say, and I post this to see the response of other users, that I am experimenting with the idea of an Onderon scavenger joining the BA fight against the Sith. The part I would like to see response on is my concept for her possession and studying of an extremely basic jedi holocron. Any opinions?

I assume then, that your character is Force sensitive? Otherwise it'd be a short study :) Regardless, I have no objection to you having a FS character in the BA or studying voodoo between battles.
