We're going to choose whoever the best candidates are. If they've been here for 1 year or 7 years isn't a factor. There's one candidate in particular (I won't say who or for what faction) who I really don't know anything about nor have I interacted with them in any way that I can remember, but they are someone who has an outstanding application and an obvious qualification for the role. This person is my preference for that faction.

After years of less than ideal faction leadership across the board, choosing anything short of the best possible candidates would be shooting this timeline in the foot before it can even start.

I actually somewhat shared the same concern as @StormWolf , although this was mostly based on perception and the think tank process, thus I know it was not a purely logical presumption of the FL selection process. I am glad you replied as you did, Bac, as it does give us a direct hint at your thinking in these matters. So thank you for that!!

I want to say to my fellow Jedi that I am likely not applying for the FL position (not 100% decided yet - need to think if I have the time cycles to put into it). However, if there is an FL applicant who wants an AFL name, I would love to be an AFL and help out with managing threads and events and such. I'd definitely be good at that part!

Other than being totally impractical organizationally, the Jedi faction is a military and militaries don't run on democracy. They run on a chain of command.

Maybe eventually, but my character is Republic so, per the character rules, I can't join the Jedi at this point.

I have a character planned next timeline by the name of Lukas Jackson. He will come from a very wealthy family and a high born social class. His family will love him, care for him and be a major supporting element in his life. However, Lukas is a problem child with a rebellious streak. Growing up in a life of luxery seems like an extraordinary lifestyle, but in reality it can quickly grow taxing and stressful. The responsibility and the day to day preplanned events leaves little time for yourself.

So Lukas rebels from his family and invokes a life of his own choosing.

The young man will break away, turning away from his Jackson family roots. Instead he will find his comfort in his friends and their casual upbringings. He realizes he likes to cuss, to joke and have fun, he searches for excitement any way he can. The kid is full of energy, and his lust for adventure only brings him trouble. He explores all of life's pleasures, and they soon consume him. Unexpectedly Lukas walks down a darker path, he begins to abuse drugs and alcohol heavily, fight often, party all the time, women flock to him and his charms, fake friends pop up like flies and Lukas does not seem to be slowing down for anyone.

He loves the power his family's money can buy and it quickly destroys alot of the good inside him. He becomes selfish and greedy, uncaring of others and arrogant, he becomes content in his newfound lifestyle. At the cost of his family name which he ruins. Lukas is soon the black sheep of the Jackson family. Tarnishing his own reputation and health, all so he can live on life's edge.

But fear not my friends! For the young man is destined for greatness or complete damnation. Unknown to himself and his family, the boy is Force Sensitive. Whether this is a blessing or a curse has yet to be decided, which brings me to my purpose of posting this.

I'd like Lukas to have a sibling of some kind, male/female - older/younger I have my preference but I'd rather see what you guys want to roleplay, so I won't say which I'd prefer so I do not discourage your own creativity. So my friends, if you feel you have a character, or can create a character that would complement Lukas well, than by all means let me know if you are interested.

I believe this would open up the doors to many fabulous stories. Our characters would grow so much as a family and as individuals. I have already fleshed out a basic starting "plot" or "origin story" our characters would complete at the start of next timeline. Their beginning journey will be a hard one and it will test them deeply. But I have a feeling it will be fun and it will push our two characters into the galaxy and give them their direction.

However I will not waste your time any further, as this is already a long post. Thanks for reading if you did and please, if interested, let me know and we can talk more about the idea in a more proper setting. (Such as PM)

They're more than nemesis; Rudolf is the reason why Nova (the PC) is who he is.

Unfortunately my man, I don't think this is what i'm going for. Rivals would be fine, that is not the issue, the issue lies with Ruddy who does not seem to fit my character well.

Lukas will start DOTR with NO skills and abilities. I am wanting to roleplay his progress out and create an awesome character. That is the main reason i'd like another writer to join me for an Origin story. That is also the main reason I wanted a sibling; the closer our characters are, the easier it would be to connect their stories.

Anyway, Idk about Lukas' personality, but given his background I think Nova would immediately associate him with Ruddy. Let me know if u want our chars to ever do something together in DoTR.
