Holograms and newsholos all over the galaxy tuned into the broadcast, a broadcast sent from one of the darkest regions of the galaxy and reached out to every inch of her entirety. A tall Chiss male with worn features and silver hairs clearly visible stood alone in a nearly lightless room. One single light overhead illuminated him, it was enough. Breathing deeply, he began speaking, his voice carried the emotion of anger, but it was hidden under a sea of calm.
"Too long, far too long have our brothers been struggling alone in this galactic war. Far too long the Chiss Ascendancy has hidden behind the skirt of the Imperium like the frightened stepchild. For too long the mighty Chiss Ascendancy has sat on her hands preaching peace while our greatest allies die on the field of battle against a murderous Alliance.
Barely a few weeks ago, the Grand Imperator departed on a visit to the former Mandalorian colonies on Zaddja to oversee their transference into our hands. She could not meet the brave Mandalorians there, she could not greet some of the greatest warriors of this galaxy in their homes and thank them for giving their lives. Why not, you ask? An assassin sent by the butchering Galactic Alliance is the reason why not! The Mandalorians found this threat and neutralized it in the warrior way they are praised for. The Imperator was safe.
The Ascendancy has overlooked this for too long, we have overlooked a horrific, cruel people who care not for peace, but aggress war, for far too long. Now, as the Alliance assaults the planet of Boonta, putting Imperium lives in jeopardy yet again, the Ascendancy has decided that enough is enough."
At this, the Director of CAIN shook his head, pausing briefly.
"Even children are known by their works, and the Galactic Alliance has a track record a mile long. No longer will we tolerate tyranny under the guise of peace. The people under the Alliance deserve better, the entire galaxy deserves better. The Galactic Alliance wages a war not based upon the pursuit of peace, but upon a personal vendetta against a faction that, for nearly nine hundred years, has ruled almost half the galaxy peacefully and with lower crime rates than the Galactic Alliance could ever hope for.
My words are not threats, they are not petty warnings. The olive branch of peace has been broken, the dove slain. The Chiss Ascendancy formally declares war upon the Galactic Alliance."
At that, the broadcast ended.
