Expectations and Information​

First things first - any member of the Dark Jedi of the Bogan, Jedi Order, Hutt Cartel and Galactic Rebellion are permitted to join. This is an unconventional faction, since usually cross-affiliation requires additional approval - however, Defiance Armada was formed with the approval of @The Kyzer , @Ben and @ZayPat , and the cross-faction affiliation is a heavy part of the faction's function and role in the timeline.

However, there are certain exceptions of membership that need to be understood before signing up. Firstly, Defiance Armada is, first and foremost, a PvP organisation. Members who sign up for Defiance Armada will be expected to be available to fight other players, and as with all battles, there is a risk of character death involved. It's incredibly important for members to understand that, as the faction's activities will almost entirely be comprised of battle threads. If you're looking for character progression or social threads, then Defiance Armada may not be the group for you. Not that it will be discouraged, mind you, but from a leadership perspective, the emphasis will be on combat and conflict, not building characters up. For this reason, there will be no rank hierarchy either - as a member of Defiance, you are a combatant that will be expected to be available for PvP combat. Doing well, or being proficient are obviously traits we want to encourage, but at the same time there will be few opportunities for advancement - for this reason, it is encouraged that you join one of the affiliated factions and build upon your character through those groups, instead.

Battles will come fast, and it's my aim to ensure that everyone gets to fight at some point or another. My goal is to have battles more or less back to back - when one battle ends, another one will begin, or sign-ups will become available. So there should be ample opportunities to fight within the faction. Due to the affiliation with the main factions, this involvement may also provide you the means in which to justify promotion in those factions, so involvement here may have spill-on effects that may help you advance elsewhere.

Unless otherwise stated, all battles with Defiance will be using Manaan rules - that is, a two week window of posting, with 48 hour limits imposed between posts - and if the battle is not resolved by the two week deadline, then it will be ruled upon by an admin (not myself, for obvious reasons) to determine an outcome. You will be expected to post within these rules if you are called upon to fight in a battle thread - however, I understand that real life is obviously a priority. If for some reason you are unable to post within that 48 hour window, you will be expected to notify myself and the other thread participants. I cannot ensure character safety if you fail to do so because of the nature of these battles and the faction itself.

Finally, on sabotage/espionage/double-agent plots: If you plan on engaging in some form of espionage, sabotage or similar story, while I can't enforce this, I strongly suggest that you contact me personally so we can come up with these plots together. The entire point of Defiance Armada is to end the timeline in an exciting and fun way, so I'm more than happy to accommodate for these sorts of ideas and make sure that they're enjoyable for everyone involved, as we've had issues in the past of these sorts of plots causing issues OOCly. That's the last thing I want to do, so I'd much rather work with you to come up with something more enjoyable.​

Reasoning: OOCly, I made Paloma for PvP threads because my 'main' character isn't liable to get caught up in minor skirmishes. ICly, she's an Imperial Knight with a grudge against the Sith who likes to fight, so lets get to it. (ง •̀_•́)ง

Cross-faction affiliation: Dark Jedi of The Bogan/Hutt Cartel(the only people that know he is in the Hutt Cartel are the High Lords of the Bogan)
Reasoning: Vaxvesh ever since he joined the Bogan has done whatever he can to help it grow, from fighting in Eriadu, to fighting in Fondor. While his main goal for joining it was because he liked the philosophy, etc, another main reason was because he knew sooner or later, the Bogan and the Sith were going to clash. His hatred of the Sith began when they attacked Coruscant, and killed his master. Ever since then, Vaxvesh has worked toward fighting the Sith, and he has even gone as far as to put aside his hatred of the Jedi Order he once served to fighting the Sith, and eradicating the Imperium once and for all. Despite his hatred of the Jedi Order, Vaxvesh likes the Rebellion, and he is willing to help them if needed.

Cross-faction affiliation: Dark Jedi of the Bogan
Reasoning: Arali wants the chance to fight the Sith in a real way. She is of the belief that she can become extremely strong in time, and also believes the best way to do that is through adversity, combat, life and death situations and the very real fear of death that comes with them. She doesn't care for the Rebellion or the Jedi or anyone other than herself, really. She doesn't care about tearing down the Imperium to build a better galaxy. She just wants a chance to kill Sith, climb the ranks and prove she's the best, like she knows (or thinks she knows :p) she can be. It's also a chance for her to come into contact with even more Force users and military types that she can learn things from through combat. Overall, her main reason for joining is a selfish one. She wants to fight the Sith for the purpose of improving herself through conflict and the chance of death.

OOCly, my main reason for joining is that I like the idea of ending the timeline with epic fights. Since these next months are the last chance I'll get to play Arali before she's retired forever, I'd like to throw her at some PvP and see what comes of it, whether that be extreme success, immediate death or something in between.

Reason: IC: As a Mandalorian Tal has a serious chip on his shoulder against the Empire following the genocide. He has already made attempts to align the Cartel with the Rebels before and will gladly take the opportunity to put some Imps in their place (which is six feet under).

Reasoning: Nazar lost his family on Coruscant, when the empress drained the life from the planet. Nazar himself has no feeling of loyalty to the rebellion, and he feels the jedi are weak willed and cowardly, part of the reason he fell was their refusal to do more against the sith 10 years ago. He has bared a hatred of sith ever since his fall to the dark side, and would enjoy the chance to claim a few of their lives. Nazar is also a man who values knowledge, and the cultivation and collection of ancient lore, or works to preserve ruins or ancient sites of importance. The sith have destroyed entire worlds before, and such acts of exterminating an entire collection of knowledge is, to Nazar, unforgivable.

Reasoning: Triton lost him arm to a Sith he fought, but it has given him a stronger resolve to bringing down the evil that is the Imperium, an the Sith that hold their collar he lost his mother fighting off two Sith yet these events only helped strength his resolve, he is a Light side oriented force user and his order knows full well that the Imperium is evil an understands that a government and a society that will allow their leader to commit genocide and the destruction of whole worlds is a threat to all live in the galaxy. Triton hopes that once the Sith is gone his order could become large like the Jedi and become a force for good so that the Sith will never become this powerful ever again.

Reasoning: Jaleer has fought many Sith, and seen first hand what the Sith could do to a persons live with his friend Cappi becoming completely closed off for a time. With his strong roots in Jedi teaching, the young man wishes to redeem and save those that have fallen to the dark side but knows the institution of the Imperium and Sith need to be destroyed. The man is fully prepared to lose his live in this fight an is willing to take the Sith down with him.

Reasoning: Xeus basically built himself into what he considers to be a "weapon of the Light Side", and currently operates for the sole purpose of striking at the Darkness (ala evul-ness) across the galaxy. While he does this any way he can, the foremost way him, and the Matukai in general, do this is in combating the Sith Imperium in any way that they can

Reasoning:
- IC: Sentry has dropped off the grid. He is a person who needs something or someone to protect. Tell him a commander must live, and god help anyone that tries to harm that commander. He is a living conduit of the Force, and a dying one. He was bred to be a living weapon, and a weapon needs someone to pull the trigger.
- OOC: I feel like, as my first character, I need to finish things with Sentry. He's been sidelined for the entire RP, and it makes me sad. He is one of the most painful parts of me that never healed and he needs to be used. He needs to be utilized for at least his writing-potential.

Reasoning: Elijah in every post has been trying vehemently to forward the establishment of a legitimate Alliance and not just a band of rebels. His goal has been to ally them under one charter that holds them responsible for each other and equally responsible to tear asunder the imperium. He feels in order to do that and ensure his place in the coming alliance he must prove himself on the field of battle. He has acquired resources for the Morellians as the Captain of the Morellian Enforcers (a faction now associated/allied with the rebellion) to forward to the rebellion in terms of ships and aid. He is highly educated, a competent leader, and an extremely skilled combatant. He has a strong prejudice against force users and would like to see the force out of politics. He knows the only way to do this is to fight tooth and nail every step of the way.

Reason IC: Khivas was born and raised on Corellia, his first encounter with the Force and the Jedi being there when he pickpocketed an old Jedi Master. From there he followed in his parents footsteps, fighting in every way he knew how in order to revive his planet's freedom. He also failed, but he hasn't forgotten, and even to this day he fights with the Jedi in order to rid the Sith from the Galaxy, and in turn his homeworld.
