BIOGRAPHY
Del was taken from his home by an upstart band of dark Force users. He has flash memories of his abduction, but no idea where he comes from. Even his name is not fully his own, Vasi being the name of another boy taken by his abductors. He and Vasi trained together, honing their Force potential in non-traditional ways as their captors took them from world to world, scheming and waiting to use the boys' powers for their own means. Vasi and Del drifted apart as Vasi began to fall in with the others, allowing himself to be indoctrinated. When a reckoning came down on the group of outcasts from the Jedi, Vasi fought alongside his captors, while Del escaped with the clothes on his back and the blade of his fallen master; a mysterious staff that could resist lightsaber blows.
Del traveled the outer rim for years afterwards, going from adolescence to adulthood. It was on the uncharted planets that he found himself, learning to use his slight connection to the Force as a guide. It became instinctual, guiding him in combat, survival, and life. After more than a decade with minimal contact with the outside, he grew tired of isolation. With no true destination, he headed back to civilization, hopping planets like he had in his childhood. He searches now for his path in life, unsure what the Force has in mind for him.
Appearance
A tall man of dark complexion, Del holds himself with confidence. He is slim and lethal, draping himself in tight fitting black robes. He often wraps his head in black cloth, having an aversion to contact with others. Underneath is a smooth face with a long goatee and dark eyes full of primal wisdom. Most importantly, he keep by his side a staff of archaic metal and around his neck a pendant of kyber.
Personality
Del is somber and quiet, though humor and compassion hides underneath his calm exterior. He gives himself completely to the Force and the Force gives back, allowing him to see into the hearts of others, often being able to identify feelings tucked beneath the surface. Despite that, his isolation has made him awkward and unsure around people. This has given him a thirst for connections with other.
Del calms himself with the Force. He is all around opposed to anger, especially after the way it twisted Vasi all those years ago. Still, he is constantly drawn by the darkside. Del is constantly in conflict with his two halves; the one that has found serenity, and the one that is still an angry child that wants to burn the world.
Skills
Del was trained in the Force and various weapons, though he prefers a staff and that is the only weapon he carries with him at all times. He also uses the Force unconventionally, almost never reading minds or implementing it physically. Instead, he reads emotions and flows with the Force in battle, letting it guide him instead of using it as a weapon. Del also has a quick mind and has picked up many languages and dialects. He has a fondness for knowledge and can never have enough of it.
Del is also handy with ships. Years of planet hopping forced him to learn how to keep them in one piece. He is by no means a mechanic but isn't incompetent either and he allows himself a small bit of pride in his know-how.
