DESCRIPTION​

Similar to the Wookiee bowcaster, this Deucalian weapon is a rare sight. It is believed the galactic raiders at one point learned the secrets of how to make the crossbow-like weapons from pillaging Wookiees or coming across their people in their raiding. Regardless, the Deucalians craft their own bowcasters and hold them in high regard. They are just as rare of a sight in the galaxy as a Wookiee bowcaster. Some uneducated citizens would easily mistake one for the other.

LEGALITY​

Bowcasters were classed as ceremonial weapons by many governments, and their ownership was often legal- uncommon for slugthrower weapons- athough open carry on civilized worlds was often restricted. However, Deucalians, like Wookiees hold the weapons in almost sacred regard, and non-Deucalian owners are likely to be interrogated as to how they acquired the weapon if spotted by a Deucalian- those with unsatisfactory answers are liable to lose their arms or worse.
