OOC: This battle is for Cyril, Matt, Mulluns, and Calist.

Vendaxa was a bit of a helish planet, mostly because of the way the jungle was formed and the roaming creatures such as the Acklay. But that didnt stop them from setting up a tournament on the planet, not at all. There was a clearing in the jungle, containing several boulders and only three trees. There wasent buch room for cover, but hey, the only one who would be needing to take cover was Colonel Mulluns, as his partner in this match was a Jedi and they were going to fight two other Jedi, one being a Wookie.

The Colonel marched out of the jungle and into the clearing, his pistols and his shotgun were strapped to him as he wore his dark blue trench coat and silver tinted visors to cover his eyes. It wasent much of a protection or armor, only to cover his eyes that were diffrent then other spieces's. He looked around the clearing, seeing if he could spot any of the other combatants...

For a Jedi like Tían, there was almost no better planet to duel on than Vendaxa. Life filled the air, showing the massive presence of the Force. The dangers of the planet were nothing to the Jedi. His communion with the Force gave him safety. Any dangerous creature that entered the ring would be more of a threat to the other contestants than him.

A battle was usually the last place to expect a pacifist Jedi. It must have been a strange sight to see someone enter a duel with no weapons. Tían, however, saw this tournament as a way to remain fit. He did not approve of overindulging in violence, yet too many in the galaxy did. He had to be able to keep up with the best of them to stay a threat.

Without any weapons, Tían was still an extreme threat. His ability to move around the field was powerful. His knowledge of the Force passed all others. Most importantly, the Force constantly spoke to him, allowing him to be constantly aware of his surroundings and see glimmers of the near future. Any surprise attack would be futile, and he would be able to react much quicker than any other. All it would take was a fluttering disturbance.

Dimitrije arrived in the arena. The hot weather bothered him a little as sweat poured over his face. However, the sweat would not stop him and he merely had to put a small headband on his head to stop much of it.

His weapons were a lightsaber, a slug throwing pistol, a blaster pistol, and of course, the force. He had not been around long enough to really get a lot of stuff that older jedi might have.

Of his enemies and allies, his ally was a republic soldier who although very good, didn't have armor which was likely to be a serious weakness against those with lightsabers. Fortunately, one didn't even have any physical weapons, unfortunately, that probably meant that he didn't need them. Also, one of his foes would be a wookiee which would be a bit hard to fight as they had extreme strength, hopefully, Dimitrije would never get close enough.

So Dimitrije sat still in the clearing, meditating and connecting to the force.

Dewbecca arrived on the world the day before, he took this time to become accustomed to the harsh environment that this world had, it was harsh for many but not for a jedi master of Dewbecca strong connection to the force as the world had dense jungles with creatures teeming out of it.

This duel would be unique in that there was no need for weapons, his lightsaber was but one tool that he used for his job but still, his force powers would be sufficient enough to do the job today but he was still very weary off the duel, this would be tough.

((I'll post because everyone seems to have forgotten this...))

Tían look across at his opponents. The fight would be tough, but he was as well. Innately he was calling the Force to himself as he always did when a potential threat came to him. He lived with the Force, and to be absent from it was like a fish being absent from water. In the battle to come, the Force would serve him well.

A fight was something that Tían would usually step to avoid in reality. This was just a staged battle; in essence, it was just another training exercise that was closer to real combat than anything else. As a pacifist, he would not fight such a battle in true instances; however, life is messy, and duels like these prepare for the chaos the galaxy would bring. Even a pacifist Jedi could not always avoid battle through diplomacy; evil always finds a way to destroy.

The Jedi Master had no intention of making the first blow. While he was here, he would treat this as the scene it simulates: real life battle. In real battle, he would not kill, and he could not kill here. He would never initiate a fight and only attack in order to pacify the offense. As a master of defensive arts, he understood that all offenses can be a defense and all defenses can be an offense. Once the fight would began he would work quickly to calm the scene, but he would not start it.

The Colonel decided to make the first move, and pulled out his Shotgun slugthrower, aiming it quickly at the Wookie and fired off a shot from the gun. Slugs seemed to be much harder to defend against with a Lightsaber, so it was good he didnt consider switching over to those new things called "Blasters". As soon as he fired the shot, he turned towards his Jedi Companion.

"I'll take the Wookie, the other Jedi is yours."

And without saying anything else, he turned and started to straff to his left as looked back towards the Wookie.

Slugthrowers were a ghastly weapon, horrible things that were horrible to defend against if one didn't know several of the techniques designed against there use on Jedi.

As the slugs came towards him Dewbecca allowed the force to flow though him, as the slugs came dangerously close, the slugs turned in mid air shooting back towards there mater, the power of force deflection was hard to learn but had it's uses no doubt.

Very quickly, Dimitrije pulled out his slug throwing pistol and prepared to fire at the Tian guy. Fortunately for him, Dimitrije was rather skilled with guns as he had been a drug lord in the past. This gave him great ability to be able to accurately hit another jedi, especially one without a lightsaber.

Another helper of his aim was the fact that he had the force to work with and he could use it to help guide the bullets to the right target as well as to prevent the force of others from stopping his success.

So he fired his shot at the jedi master Tian with much accuracy and precision.

A ripple of disturbance flew lightly through the air, but was received strongly by the sensitive Jedi. It didn’t take much effort know that the opposing Jedi was going to attack him. His partner had just instructed him to do so. Without a moment’s hesitation, the council member moved with his lightning reflexes. The Jedi’s accuracy and precision was not deniable, but neither was the evasion skills mastered by Tían. The motion to evade began before the pistol had been pulled up to the firing position.

The feet moved gracefully against the ground. Proper foot motion was necessary to evade; one trip of clumsy action would result in a possibly fatal result. Slugthrower projectiles moved rather quickly, but it didn’t matter. The reaction time had allowed the motion to be more than enough to eschew damage. The slug whizzed a foot away from the Jedi as he slid away from his previous position.

Highly aggressive counterattacks were not favored by Tían, and he reserved them for more serious situations in a duel. In this instance, he only needed to use minor crowd control techniques. He didn’t want that slugthrower active, and he needed to get in to the point where he would have a clear advantage. Charging a guy with a gun, even if you were the greatest living master of the Force, was stupid. Instantly after the bullet passed him by, he gave his own attack.

The right hand pulled towards the master’s own torso. Anyone would have read the motion as a signature of Force Pull, however the use was a little unorthodox. Tían targeted a specific region of Dimitrije with this technique. The legs would shoot out from under the distant Jedi and fly a distance towards the master. The difficultly in completely stopping the power would be very difficult for the Knight. Minor off balancing seemed inevitable. All Tían needed to successfully close in the distance was for his opponent to suffer one stroke of clumsiness.

Feeling the pull from Tian, Dimitrije decided to at least try to make the pull useful to him. So when the pull was felt, he did a back flip which enabled him to convert the pull into something that would retain his ability to stand.

During the backflip, Dimitrije also pulled out his amber colored lightsaber. It had been acquired during his padawan learning period and was a good saber. Fortunately, he had been pretty good at using it in somewhat acrobatic situations and when he landed back on his feet, he had it ready to use and he also fired off another shot with his pistol.

Constant motion was imperative to successfully fight unarmed. Avoid and evade was a less taxing form of defense than using powers like deflection. If all motion was kept flowing, dodges fit in no matter what attack came. Tían never let his feet relax as they glided gracefully across the ground. The Jedi could not afford to make a mistake of stopping when the majority of his weapons were most useful at close range.

By the time Dimitrije had regained his footing, the council member had gained good ground against the younger opponent. The single shot from the gun would be the last before the master was upon the knight. The Force told of the aggression from the gun before it occurred. The whispers gave more than ample time for Tían to avoid the incoming projectile. The air cracked as the slug sped past the Jedi. The distance was closed and soon the gun would hazardous to have.

With the defense at an end, a minor offense was substituted for a greater in the future. The opponent was a bit unorthodox. He had both a lightsaber and a gun. Neither of these items was approved of by the council member, but who would expect different from a pacifist. A special strategy would be necessary for close quarters combat. Luckily the jungle world, full of life, filled Tían with the Force, who whispered into the eagerly listening mind of the master. He was ready for anything.

A minor telepathic attack set the stage for what was to happen in the rest of the fight. It was a minor version of mind shard, only meant to divert the attention of the enemy. The telepathic cut would be a jolt of pain that would hopefully lower Dimitrije’s guard. The small mental strike was just a premonition of the power the council member had, and he was showing that if he needed to, he would use it to pacify the scene. The attack made way for a series of movements that would possibly result in victory, according to how each played out.
