Mustafar
Mjolnir Station
13:45

There was no denying it. Eva Stark had finally... finally... let her age catch up with her.

She could no longer fight as she had these last two decades; being Chief of Engineering these last few years had meant a certain element of administrative demonstration, as well as a certain image that belied their trustworthiness to the galactic public. She had yet to retire her own Vikingr armor, however, and most of her own weapons were her own, but... all the old wounds of the past had recently begun catching up. Her thick black hair was already with a few streaks of white, but in defiance of any office attire she still kept her hair in traditional Deucalian braids, and with a lapel pin befitting of her own rank as Jarl. Today, however, she was dressed simply in a dark blue dress that modestly covered all, her arms bare, and still in her boots. Not dressed for combat.

She could not deny any longer that the fight she once relished was not a necessity any more. She thought, with a wry smirk, that she had truly mellowed.

Wasn't that a terrifying thought.

Her husband teased her enough for it as it was; she was not quite exactly old old, but she felt it deep in her bones, sneaking up in rare moments and slowing her down a little at a time. Speaking of... there was someone from her past due to arrive. A girl that was once reckless, heedless of danger and one she had watched mature with a deep maternal pride.

Soon, she would arrive. They were due for a bit of a catch-up anyways.

Mustafar, Eithni remembered the planet as if she had been on it yesterday with Kalanda to learn Sith alchemy, funny how time flows. Coming through the atmosphere the red planet of lava-filled peripheral vision as she steered her craft in the direction of the Mjolnir Station. Twenty years... It had been twenty years since they saw each other, so a visit was long overdue between them, Eva Stark was, after all, her mother, or second mother. But unlike her Nightsister mother and matriarchal leader of the clan, had Mother Usara always been a mentor and teacher who raised and trained her. Eva had been a much more mother to Eithni over the twenty-two years they had known each other.

Eithni was even having a bit of stomach ache, though she wasn't sick and it was more than likely that she was both excited and anxious at the same time. Though over the twenty years hadn't been completely going dark between them. Eithni still sent her mother small messages over her comm, just so Eva knew that her adoptive daughter wasn't dead or in trouble.

That's not to say Eithni haven't missed her Deucalian mother dearly and funnily enough, still saw the woman as a role model and loved her beyond words. Thanks to Eva Stark and to an extent Zandrali, took Eithni a very mixed style in clothing as her adoption of Deucalian from her mom became such a part of Eithni, but her Nightsister mother influence made her keep her Nightsister style. Eithni also finally after many years of training and being taught for many hours, was able to speak Deucalic and not struggle in the language.

Flying over a large lava lake, Eithni neared the station with her house Stark ship she pretty much has been using personally. As the ship landed and the Nightsister woman stepped out of the landed ship, stood Eithni on the Mjolnir Station hanger bay among all the other ships. It was a bit weird being among other than her sisters after twenty years of training and getting ready for when she was to take over the role as the matriarch of her mother's clan.

However, standing in Mjolnir Station's hangar bay in a mix attire of Deucalian and Nightsister clothing with her lightsaber hanging from its belt clip at the front of Eithni's hip and her two vibroblade daggers in their sheaths behind her on the belts, just above her butt. Her bow was just above the daggers, but since it was folded, it looked more like a metal handle than a bow. Not that Eithni was prepared for a fight, but being adopted by a mother and mom who have taught her to never come unprepared, she never left her home without a weapon.

Though, apart from her growing up, the other biggest change to her had been her hair colour, as it had lost it very white almost platinum hair-colour and gotten a much more light blond colour instead. Eithni did, however, had her hair braided in a very Deucalian fashion with a couple of beans in the smaller braids.

She watched as the Stark ship orbited slowly, landing within the docks with a practiced air. Far from her last meeting with the ridiculous Mid Samekh, the girl could at least land now, and not practically kill herself upon impact. It had been a few years since they had last met face-to-face, but she was proud of Eithni in her own way. She was reared in the way of her people, initiated into her culture in what few ways Skuld still believed... but it had been a long time since Skuld herself stepped foot on Ando Prime.

Her clan no longer roamed those halls. Now their dreams were turned towards the stars, no longer limited to a weak council. Her people, those of Clan Stark and under other Thorite branches, worked with Blackwell with pride.

But now was about her daughter.

She stepped from the hangar bay lift, every inch seeming the calm matriarch of her people, the chief representative of her Engineering clan...

And she was beaming ear to ear at the sight of her wild child.

"Dottir," she called out, striding out tall, chin held high, spine stiff. "So at long last you land. Distracted by pirates again?" She was teasing her; she found it easier to joke and laugh, now... it was less difficult to trust those that had stayed through all the danger, all the blood shed in her years as a marauder and hired gun. She had reluctantly gotten old... but seeing all of her children successful made it worth it.

"Mother," grinned the now much older Nightsister when hearing her mother's voice called out to her. In the past, when Eithni had been in her teen years and early twenties, would the Nightsister had jumped her mother in crushing hug, with enough force to make people tip over from the impact. Those times were over as she had grown much out of her childish behaviour, for the most part.

However, Eithni still looked up to Eva, her mother, as this amazing almost perfect woman and that view may never disappear. Meeting Eva halfway, the Nightsister wrapped her arms passionately around her mother and hugged Eva for a good minute, like a daughter showing her mother how much she missed her and loved her. Pulling back from the hug, the blond-haired woman looked up at the black-haired woman with a smile, who started to show white. "The flight went fine, no space pirates. However, pirates on Dathomir had been trying for a time to set up a base for some reason, so I think those pirates got much more distracted by my rancor than the other way around" replied Eithni with a grin, showing a bit of the teenage Eithni in the older Nightsister.

Eithni's rancor had grown up to be a very strong and healthy matriarchal herd mother among the rancor population on Dathomir and was a force to be reckoned with. Eithni had no idea why the pirates of all places tried to set up a base of operation near the village, but it was a fun practice and good hunting opportunities every time.

Eva had never actually met Eithni's Rancor in person, only pictures had been sent to the Chief Engineer from time to time, but it had mostly been because Eithni never has had a big enough ship to transport her companion around.

Looking around the hanger, there was a lot of activity around them and a ship was just about to take off from the hanger, probably some kind of cargo ship looked a lot like a freighter. Looking back at her mom, Eithni gave the older woman a smile, "looks good on you mom" commented the Nightsister, nodding at the streaks of white blending in with the jet black hair.

Standing in the hanger, it might be better to get out of the area as it wasn't the most suitable area for talking and besides, Eithni was curious about the station and wanted to explore it. Who better to explore a station, than with the Chief Engineer of the place?

As Eithni met her halfway, she enveloped the younger woman in a bear hug, chuckling softly at the comment to her hair. "I grew tired of coloring it. I have been told it looks better." The smile softened, and she jerked her head towards the open doorway, releasing Eithni with a light pat to the shoulder. As much as Eithni adored Eva... Eva was deeply proud of her adopted daughter. She had grown so much, and learned so much... and in some ways, Skuld admired the girl just as much not just for her capabilities as a witch, but a leader in her own right. She was so much a Stark, it made the older woman beam with maternal pride.

"You have not missed much; Half-Dan misses his sisters, and some of my crew are here. We are working on another prototype," she nodded towards one room, where a cluster of young adults crowded around a hologram, comparing datapads. "We're attempting to design a new land speeder with greater protection and lesser weight... and Tagal still has his forge, but he is gone for the moment." She paused, then sighed.

"And I... have been busy with nothing." She gave a wry chuckle, eyeing the other woman.

"So. Any place worth exploring for you, yet? Any news of someone to introduce to the family?" Here, she gave a wicked grin and raised brows, every inch the prying mother, eager for news.

It was really wonderful to be with Eva again, just spending some quality time with her mom, by the Fanged God, Eithni had missed that. Exiting the hanger bay with Eva, Eithni listening to the Deucalian woman talk and smiled, "sounds like Half-Dan" comment the Nightsister-Deucalian woman, remembering Half-Dan as much younger than he is now. While she wasn't very technical when it came to what her mom did or the clan-members worked on, it still piqued her interest as she turned her grace towards the crew of the station. "Getting any process with it?" Asked Eithni curiously as they continued walking down a corridor on the station.

"How's grumpy doing? Still mean and grumpy?" Asked Eithni, looking back up at her mom. At first, Eithni really didn't like Tagal due to how they met so long ago when she called him mean old and grumpy. But now, after so long it had turned more into a joke and a bit of a nickname for the old blacksmith. "I certainly can't say the same, Clan Mother has really shaped me into getting ready for taking over the mantle of the clan," she sighed a bit, thinking of all the countless hours of getting grind by the Matriarch. Then again, Eithni wasn't really complaining as she actually wanted to impress her adoptive Clan Mother.

EIthni actually blushed a bit, by Eva's comment and gave the large Chief Engineer's arm a push of embarrassment. Did that nosy mother gene never go away? Not to mention, her ability to know what to ask her daughter to get a reaction of her EIthni. Looking away, in attempt to get her blushing under control, Eithni gave into her mom's curiosity. "There was once that there maybe could have been something with the Mandalorian Sumas, but we are just friend mom," told Eithni Eva, looking back at her mom, still seeing that damn wicked grin and suggestive raised brows.

"And if you must know, Kalanda Tishire and I are finally together, after she left the Sith Empire and became a Nightsister" explain Eithni with a bit of goofy grin, showing a bit of the younger Eithni from when she was younger. "But knew places to explore? Hm... Not sure, have been on so many planets that I've lost count" admitted the Nightsister woman. "But what about you mom? I refuse to believe the great Jarl of House Stark and my mom has just been sitting home and play housewife, that doesn't sound like the cool mom I know and love" teased Eithni with her question, giving Eva a smirk of mischiefs.
