DESCRIPTION
The Eta-2 is a Clone Wars-era starship that was used mainly by the Jedi Order. Over a hundred years old, this ship is not made anymore and cannot compete effectively against more modern ships without significant upgrades. This ship was not made with its own shields or hyperdrive, instead, the design focused on maneuverability. Based around a single pilot cockpit, there are a series of four S-foils to radiate heat away from the engine of the ship. Each ship was made to make use of an astromech. The Eta-2 is only able to enter hyperspace with the help of a hyperspace travel ring.

LEGALITY
Due to the ship's age, it is legal to own Eta-2s. However, upgrading the ship to modern starfighter levels could require extra licensing requirements.

INTENT
To recreate a Clone Wars-era starfighter, and to use as a base for upgrading the ship into something that is custom to the owner.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. These ships are very old and outdated, but still very rare. Finding them is difficult, but not impossible. They are mostly found in salvage yards and areas affected by the later stages of the Clone Wars and subsequent purge. A plot would be needed to find and recover, or steal one.

I think because if their age and implied rarity these should at the very least be AT. Vintage cars that are restored or even in original operable condition cost in the millions, at least for the ones that would compare to something like this.

That does make sense, and I've made that change. I was thinking of AT more as something that is better in some way than the current modern tech, which this would not be.

The tech mods might correct me when they review it, but I interpret the advanced label as having any qualifier that would make the item harm to acquire. Could be an advantage in usage or ease of ownership.

So, I'm actually not all that comfortable having this thing be available. While I could see one or two of them in museums, perhaps, they were only produced in very small numbers to begin with, and pretty much ALL of them would have been destroyed during Order 66, and of those that did survive, almost none would have survived the Imperial era. I don't see how any character could get hold of one one these, no matter how many threads they did for it.

Besides that, there are some issues with the write-up. A hyperdrive ring, for example, would be a separate piece of equipment that would require its own write-up and acquisition process.

For these reasons, I'm archiving this.
