Families in Council

I was trying to think of how we could get the Families active. Currently, to my knowledge, the only two right now are Arch and Prard, due to the membership quota (3) and request submitted. You guys are free to make Families too, you just never sent me data to make it official (I don't mind waiving the quote requirement for you guys).

Anyways, back on topic. I was thinking that maybe certain Family Heads would be allowed to participate in some (if not all) Council of Eminence meetings. If you guys want that, then the next inquiry is would they be allowed to participate in all or only certain meetings?

mmmm, how about we actually combine the families with the Chiss Cabinet if it ever got off the ground? I mean it might be a good idea giving the family heads their separate parliament and at the same time they will be allowed to attend some of the council meetings.

I've simply been a lazy bum and haven't written Derro family yet :(
Regardless, I do like your idea Weiss. But I'm quite opposed to combining the Families with the Council(there should be a separation of family and state for Chiss IMO). Families can 'sit in' and provide suggestions=good. Having actual power in the council=bad.

Random idea: What do you guys think of a non-Chiss Family? Basically one for people who aren't Chiss or in another Family? A way for non-Chiss to get some attention and say.

I like it. We have always tried to include non-chiss species and I feel that would help get the understood, non-chiss get their own family to be adopted into when they join us.

I like the idea. Though, by non-Chiss, I believe it needs to be made up of entirely non-Chiss. Nearly all characters in higher positions are Chiss, so allowing Chiss into the non-Chiss family may quickly bring about those Chiss leading it(and by total accident as well).
