it was hard, I loved Metropolis too,, more so when they show the droid chick getting the human skin,, that was a REALLY clean morph" wipe" that still to this day looks better than some CG,, and thats from the 30's

I loved King Kong, though compared to modern day stuff; it was good until King Kong came along and ruined the good picture.

yup, and the scene when kongg breaks the Tyranusorus's jaw,, the blood was actually grape jelly, in black and white stop motion it's amazing what you can get away with useing, most of the time things like lava was done with watery cream of wheat

The Day the Earth Stood Still and King Kong. because monkeys are cute. Actually, instead of The Day The Earth Stood Still, I think I should have voted for Farenheit 451. I thought that was a really good movie. Alas. This what happens when you vote without thinking... :25:

i used to be a huge fan of the old war of the worlds movie, but after seeing the new one, which was absolutely horrible by the way, it kind of ruined the old one for me. when watching the old one now, all i can hear is that damn little girl screaming throughout the entire damn movie...
