Fighting for a Cause(Ask)

OOC: For now, tis just me, Johnny, and any Midnight men members.

IC: Jessica would have never have found out about them if one of her friends have told her about this, and now that she perminantly resigned from Republic Peacekeepers, she was glad. When she arrived at the designated place she was informed to arrive at, she arrived on the time she was supposed too. She no longer wore her Peacekeeper uniform, and instead a long gray and white robe, that concealed both her blade and pistol.

She was told to meet one of there Agents here, but she wasent given a description or a name. She remained on guard...

 

[The Balance]

Walking by the women he was informed about, he saw her a former republic peace keeper, by his records. Casually walking by Kyle slipped a piece of paper into her pocket, asking her to meet him at the Rancor's tooth cantina in ten minutes. Keeping his trench coat tight around his face, he made his way to the cantina, taking a seat at the bar asking for a glass of water. He was never much of a drinker, tasted funny to him, most of it tasted like piss water anyway so he wasn't missing out on much.

Relaxing himself he perked his ears for any information about oppression that needed to be stopped. Hearing nothing interesting he continued to wait.

 

[Phil]

OOC: It actualy says she isnt wearing her uniform. lol

IC: Checking her pocket after feeling something move in it, thinking it was a pickpocket, she found something. She reached in and pulled out a note with the instructions she has been waiting for. She knew where the Cantina was, and made her way there within about five minutes. When she entered, she knew who to look for and spotted him alone at a table. Brushing her hand through her blonde hair once, she approached him calmly, but was still a bit on edge. Who knows what can happen in a Cantina...

"What are you drinking?"

 

[Johnnysaurus Rex]

Kai was at the bar waiting for the Midnight Man to set up his room in the conversation. He was a bit uncomfortable with the fact that he would be taking someone else's future under his control. Hopefully this girl had some talent in combat. He wasn't happy about the boss's choice of location either. This place was run down and the drinks were watery. Of course this wasn't the clubs and casinos he had been used to back in the old days.

Looking up from his drink he stared at the women before him, so this was Jessica he thought. Looking back down at his water, filled with like particles that god only knows what they are, but water was water so he downed the glass quickly. Turning back to Jessica he said, "Was just having some water, and I am to assume your are Jessica." Then looking past her he nodded to Kai, to tell him he should come over soon.

"I am. You must be... Mr. Reu i assume?"

She had her arms crossed over her chest, he was the one she was supposed to find. He also was drinking a non alchoholic beverage, which ment few things; He was either a non drinker, he wanted to think clear while this meeting took place, or the drinks were in poor taste. Either way, she knew she found her contact and took a seat at the table, opposite side of Kyle.

Nodding Kyle, suppressed his astonishment at how the women knew his last name, it was not common knowledge information. Beckoning to the waiter to bring him more, then looking up from his empty glass. He turned to where Kai was sitting, and motioned with his head for the man to come over. "So Jessica, I hear you are interested in joining our little organization, tell me how you came to hear of us." Kyle replied his voice calm and kept at a medium tone. He did not want unnecessary attention drawn to them because of the tone of his voice being to loud or soft.

 

[Johnnysaurus Rex]

Kai nodded shortly back and downed his drink and quickly ordered another. It wasn't good but it was nice to have something at these types of meetings. He left a few credits with the bartender and pointed out the table he would be at. Kai hadn't taken a direct look at the girl before and quickly memorized her physical features. Nothing was more embarassing than not being able to appropriately place aname with a face. When he neared the table shane grabbed a chair from another adjacent table and pulled it up to the side between The Midnight Man and the Hopeful. Immediately upon sitting Kai introduced himself with an extended hand.

"Hi, Kaizo Narukin."

 

[Phil]

"A Friend of mine informed me of your little Organization. Though she just told me it was a rumor... But i thought it was worth looking into. And here i am..."

She finished, knowing this was one of probley several other questions this man was going to ask. But she was prepared and had nothing to hide. It was then another man joined them at the table, must be an Agent for the "Organization" they were discussing. He must have been when he extended his hand towards Jessica, who in turn replied in a same manner and shook it.

"Name's Jessica M.."

Seeing the waiter bring him another galss of water he thanked her and took another sip. So they were well known enough that their deeds were heard of but not so well known that they drew too much attention from what he could gauge from Jessica. Then noting Kai's arrival he took another sip of his water, thinking of his next question, "So Jessica.... why are you interested in going our little group." Kyle said keeping his same tone.

 

[Phil]

"I think we both know the awnser to that."

She leaned a bit foward, looking at Kaizo, then towards Kyle, then down at the table a bit.

"I was once a Peace Keeper on Coruscant, been one for several years. But as the Coruption i fought began to spread into the very core of the Law, and it was beyond my power to do anything, i left. I resigned from the Peace Keepers to seek out Justice my own way, and thats when i heard of your Organization.

"Thats why i wish to join, i want to root out the evil and the corrupt in this Galaxy and bring them to justice."

 

[The Balance]

Taking a sip of his water as he brought it back down a little of it spilled onto the table, quickly wiping it up he turned to Jessica and smiled. Damn, not a good way to impress your future employee. Continuing on as nothing had happened Kyle posed his third question, "Thats good that you want to do that but answer me one more question, why are you useful?"

 

[Phil]

OOC: Almost forgot about this. lol

IC: She didnt say anything at first, but then looked at Kyle straight in the eyes.

"Is that something you want me to awnser with words or by action?"

She had no problem telling him and his friend that she was an excellent Marksman and infiltrator when in the need arises. True, most marksmen carried Rifles, but she never had a chance to grab hers when she was a Peacemaker, but her Pistol was still as deadly.

"I dont need someone to hold my hand or a shoulder to cry on when someone dies. I've faced alot in my times, just like my older Brother did in the Republic Military. I wanted to prove that if he could, so could i. I can be "Useful" to you and your Organization in a couple ways, and i think you might be pleased."

OOC: No problem

Taking her answer in Kyle looked around the bar, for any shady characters, most bounty hunters probably had a picture of him somewhere considering the size of the bounty on his head. Finding none, he looked back to Jessica and said, "There will be time for action later, but if you could tell me a little about what you did as a peacekeeper that would be great" Kyle said with a smile.

 

[Phil]

"Well..."

She thought back to the days when she was on The Force and several assignments she took, up to the point where the core of her Peace Maker corporation was corrupted. After a sigh, she remembered one.

"I was with them for about six years before i left, worked mostly by the book when on the job. Unlike some of the others who thought they had to break the law sometimes to get whats done, i never had too. I've brought in thieves, murderers, the usual scum you would find in the lower cities of Coruscant. I've killed them only when there was no other option, and i dont regret a thing. When everyone else decided to uphold the law there own way and deciding for themselves who was guilty and innocent, I did my best to do things the right way. And by the looks of it, i have failed..."

OOC: Waited long enough really need you for this next mission

"By realizing that things were wrong you have not failed and by searching for us you have taken the first step to truly fighting corruption." Kyle said, as he downed the rest of his glass, then leaving some money for the bill, he got up and left putting his hat on as he walked out into the nearby ally way. It was not one of the more pleasant sites on this world, it smelt something awful, and a few strays could be seen fighting for some scraps. The world had really gone down the drain since, that man had came, and if Jessica decided to follow him, they would help take out that man as her intiation.
