Hello all!
As the FL of the outgoing Republic, I feel it only appropriate to write a farewell message to you all. I remember when I joined the Republic early on. It was a fun concept, namely with Senator characters and the military-esque feel to the Border Alliance, and I had fun being a part of it back then.
And when the troubles started for this faction, I was honored to be chosen as its new FL not once, but twice. At the end of the day, however, it seems the Republic is better suited on the shelf rather than a major faction. For everyone that has supported me, and supported the Republic, I would like to offer a big thank you to you. Without the help of several key members (you all know who you are) my job would have been much, much more stressful. As the admins have indicated, we all knew the Republic was going to eventually fall in this timeline anyway, so please do not blame each other for the inevitable. Were there problems along the way? Sure. Could they have been prevented, or could things have been done better? Certainly.
While I know I could have done better in many areas as an FL of a major faction, at least we had some fun along the way.
I look forward to what this timeskip has to offer to everyone, and perhaps I can rp with some of you when that time comes.
For those of you who enjoyed playing a Republic character, or a non-force sensitive protagonist, it appears there will be some pro-republic factions at play after the timeskip.
