DESCRIPTION: | The FMA-MI armour was custom built by the former Jedi Knight Juno Armstrong, who is now known by a new name, Forge Master Carna. The FMA was designed with one purpose in mind, that it was unique in nature - specific to the Forge Master; The Sith responsible for the collection of lightsaber crystals and construction of various weapons for the Sith Order. Beneath the armour plates themselves is a thin composite of armour weave, which provides good resistance to environmental damage, excellent wicking abilities, and mobility. Unfortunately, this armour weave underlay, while being capable of worn independently of the armour plates provides little to no resistance against blasters, lightsabers or vibro-based weapons. The armour as a whole (including the gauntlets and boots), shoulder and chest are all a mixture of durasteel and cortosis weave, making them both durable and lightsaber resistant. The plates, which are all highly articulated for ease of movement are capable of sustaining and stopping low-energy blaster fire. Due to the minimalistic nature of the armour itself, the efficacy of the protection is generally quite low. The gauntlets on the armour, are not only defensive in their composition (the same as the rest of the armour), but play host to the components of a lightsaber, making them Lightsaber Gauntlets. In this particular case, each of the gauntlets produce one red blade each, approximately 55cm in length, and are internally powered by their own flat power cells. The lower portion of the armour features not only the hip plates on the right side, but also a modular utility belt which is capable of housing any number of devices. Depending on size, for example, up to 12 different options are available to be attached. Typically, however, such things as pouches, or certain variations of lightsaber based weapons, take up more space on the belt.. |
