It's a horror movie about a white community that whitifies black people.

I decided not to see it.

It's not about "whitifying" black people. It's a masterfully crafted thriller, with the added suspense of racial tension. It has a 100% on rotten tomatoes, and the trailer brilliantly avoids revealing anything.

Is it an actual, "serious" horror? The few TV spots I've seen made it seem like a Scary Movie style spoof of recent horror flicks. I might have to look for it at redbox if it's something that the people involved actually put effort into.

Oh there's a lot of effort put into this. It's like part spoof, part legit suspense building, but it's all very cleverly done. Definitely check it out.

I'm not a big horror fan (unless it's in a sci-fi or fantasy world), and had no plans on seeing this. Like... ever. But given the critical and audience reception, I may Netflix it eventually.
