(A note concerning Hakon's Species: His Species is listed as Epicanthix, which is classified as "Near-Human", their only distinguishable features are being tall and muscular, as well as their brown hair. Seeing as this trait simply leaves them as physically able as the best humans, I assume they are fair game. If not, I apologize, and we shall refer to him as "Hakon Amalric, the human." I only specify a near-human race for the sake of completion, and I verified that Epicanthix existed/were active during the time period. Thanks!)

Bio: Hakon Amalric was admitted to the Jedi Order at the age of three years, six months; submitted by parentage of Panatha Missionaries. His potential with the Force was recognized as being high by several Jedi Knights who were assisting his parents. He stayed in the care of those Jedi Knights until approximately the age of 4 years; the completion of the Knights current mission in that sector. At 4 years Hakon's training under the Jedi Masters began as a youngling, and initially he showed potential, including a seemingly advanced level of connection with lightsaber combat forms.
However, it became apparent that while Hakon could feel a connection to the force, and feel a sense of the world through it, he could not in any way directly manipulate it. He could not move objects, nor create lightning, nor any other form of direct force manipulation. Despite this setback, he was allowed to continue as a Padawan Hopeful until the established age of 13. The Reassignment Council subsequently decided that it would be best of Hakon was entered into the Jedi Service Corps per the normal regulation that Hopefuls not selected as a Padawan by the age of 13, would join this Corps that served to assist the Jedi across the galaxy for the better good. In particular, Hakon was on what would become the Explore Corps, a group that worked closely with the archaeological Jedi teams to map the outer rim territories.
Hakon was an active member of the Corps for twelve years, when his attachment was sent to the Outer Rim to assist the Jedi in establishment of attempted trade routes; An engagement that was destined to fail from the beginning.
Two Jedi Knights, their Padawan Learners, and a small detachment of Service Corps, led by the 25 year old Hakon descended onto a an unmapped far-outer rim planet. After search teams were unable to locate them after loss of contact, the entire group has been declared deceased.

That is of course, the end of the Republic Record. What they do not know however, is that Hakon did not die on that planet. Using his common sense, he deserted his attachment when it became evident that they were going to parish at the hands of a rather large criminal encampment. During his attempted escape, he met a freelance bounty hunter who, deciding Hakon would have to die to insure his silence, soon found himself a cold corpse. Killing the man easily, Hakon felt at first that he may give in to the dark side; but strangely, felt nothing. He could not feel the tiniest drop of dark side influence. It is at that time, you could say, he lost faith in the Force.
Stealing the bounty hunter's relatively unique set of armor, along with all of its subtly installed gadgets, he located the bounty hunter's ship, performed an ID wipe, and promptly left the planet.
