Description:

A less common variant sacrifices armor and powerful shielding for stealth capabilities. This variant has a vast majority of its hull replaced with reinforced fiberplast, which has been painted a star-flecked, matte black and coated in reflec. It is also equipped with a gravitic modulator, a photon absorber, and a thermal dissipator.

After the years, the high maintenance of the engines and hyperdrive they have since been replaced by a slower, but much more efficient design that allows the ship to keep a higher top speed and a quick hyperspace speed. In order to keep the faster pace of the ship, most of the missile magazines were cut down to allow the new engines to push the mass of the ship at a quick pace. Despite these changes it is as stealthy as it once was and is a favorite of Covert Ops. Despite its smaller size it is classified as a Corvette.

That's actually the old write-up. I changed the image at one point and slightly modified it accordingly. To account for the sudden change, we role-played that the first image was representative of a "Mark I prototype" and saw very limited production. The Mark II was mass produced and is the same variant in use by the Imperium now. You're welcome to use the old write-up, of course. All that I would ask is that you please note the distinction between the two variants and point out in the description that the Mark I variant is probably somewhere around fifteen standard years old by now.

Description:

Not dissimilar to the ancient Marauder-class Corvette of the First Galactic Civil War, the Haranov is a dangerous foe at range, but can be easily overwhelmed in close quarters engagements without an escort. Designed to fire devastating salvos just outside the sensor range of larger capital ships or orbital stations, it is equipped with one of the most advanced long-range sensor suites available.

A less common variant sacrifices armor and powerful shielding for stealth capabilities. This variant has a vast majority of its hull replaced with reinforced fiberplast, which has been painted a star-flecked, matte black and coated in reflec. It is also equipped with a gravitic modulator, a photon absorber, and a thermal dissipator. The price of the stealth variant is 4,000,000.
