Hey Hutts,

It's been a little over a month since my last faction update, so here it is.

Battles and Threads
January and February have been a busy few months for our faction. In this short time we've launched an attack on Rhommamool and a Taung-led raid on Balmorra, both of which are currently still in progress. Also, we have successfully captured Yag'Dhul (and therefore grabbed a large portion of the Rimma Trade Route and the Corellian Trade Spine). Finally, our forces have mobilized at Ando Prime to defend our Bogan allies. Of course, all this is a moot point considering we won the war with a fantastic rap battle, but we'll give the Republic another try.
:CHappy

In addition, Darksaber is currently stirring up trouble on Coruscant in the form of violent riots to cause dissension in their government. Rumor has it Sector 13 is on the scene, so we're expecting some counter-terrorism.

Needless to say, we're storming the boards with our battles. I'm ecstatic about that- we're certainly one of the more active factions on SWRP, so let's do our best to keep it that way.

What's New, Scooby-Doo?
I've changed up the boards a little, with the following notable additions I'd like you to check out:
General Hutt Methods and Laws (Where general rules and notes will be made)
Hutt Territiories (Where you can find a rough outline of our borders and a list of planets you can use, with a map)
Hutt Empire Alliances (Where you can find formal allied factions to the Empire)
In addition, I've added a long list of ground vehicles and a few space vehicles to our Engineering Thread for your use, with a structured set of Battlegroups to get you started on having an idea how the Empire works. In the last link is also a breakdown of our ship numbers that will be important to be familiar with. If there are any topics I'm missing, please notify Nevermore or myself and we'll get on it ASAP.
Last but certainly not least, I've posted the first Battle Room thread, the first step in a 'training program' for our RPers where you can improve your RP with little pressure. As of now it's a scrimmage match, so feel free to sign up. We've got no limit on the amount of matches we can have, and I hope soon to have a board dedicated to training (in which case we'll extend the offer to other factions to join in).

What the Faction Needs From You
While I'm doing my best to get content out to you guys, I certainly can't do it alone. Luckily, CARD is working with us to allow one roleplayer to NPC a Sullustian rebel group that CARD will suppress for the Empire, with the sign up found in this thread.
Again, we need fresh faces to the Empire. We've turned around our navy and as of now it's much better than I could have anticipated thanks to our Admirals, Grand Admirals, and the coming High Admiral. We need to get some ground troops this month, and if our turnout is anything like last month I've got no doubt we can do it. I've got some interesting ground-only missions planned, so if you'd like involved please don't hesitate to sign up.
With that mentality, I'll be adding a new medal (and chance for promotion) to those who get players to join our faction. This includes old RPers or newcomers, so long as it's a player that currently doesn't have a character in the Hutt faction.

What You Can Expect From Me
Again my to-do list has grown in the past month. Here it is, let me know if I'm forgetting anything:
Update the Faction Bounty list.
[ST]Re-work the Engineering thread to include exotic technology on our starships, with the addition of handheld items such as blaster rifles.[/ST] (Completed March 18)
[ST]Convince Katy Perry to marry me.[/ST] (Our wedding is May 23rd)
[st]Update awards and medal list to reflect the four ongoing battles.[/st] (Completed March 20)
Expand the faction NPC list.
[ST]Create a 'royalty' system including Lords, Barons, etc.[/ST] (March 1)

If there's anything I'm missing, PLEASE let me know. I'm here to help you guys, and I wouldn't be doing my job if something wasn't available.

Without your input, I do not know if I am doing something wrong, or if there are ways I can improve. The only way I'll get better is with your input and help, so if you have ideas post them here or drop them in my PM box, and if you want to take initiative then by all means coordinate with your faction.

If there's anything I've neglected or major changes I make in the next week or so, I'll update them below.

Let me know what you think, Hutts!

I like the royalty idea and I always wanted see a royalty system in an autocratic faction such as the Hutt Empire....also it might be a good idea to give important military figures some political position such as being governors of planets or something like that. :p

Also it might be a good idea if we held a gladiatorial tournament on Tatooine or something.

On a side note it might be a good idea if some Corvettes were added to the Hutt engineering thread along with their description and whatnot.

Umm... Weren't we as the council supposed to be "royalty"?

The ex-members of the Council are now 'royal advisors'. All Hutts were stripped of power as Tusa consolidated his own to create the Hutt Armed Forces we have today. They've got a fancy title and maybe some clerk work, but as far as royalty goes that hasn't been established.

Admiral Vorsch would be very interested in progressing as royalty :CSly

I'd like to see the Taung involved more and more with the faction. They seem to have been kept at arms length, almost.

Sooner have your head on a plate :CStern

That might be a bit difficult since it's hard to distinquish between a Hutt's head and the rest of it's body

Whoops, missed this. The gladiatorial tournament has been something that floats around every now and then, and the alternative now is the battle room. If we did the gladiator tourney, it'd be for independent factions to recruit for the Empire.

As for the corvette, we have two ships that could fill that role. The Crusader class and the Hai class.

Any ideas? I'm not sure what the Taung would like to be doing atm.

Once the Balmorra thread is finally resolved, I suppose the tattered remains of the Taung fleet could start doing something new. Maybe join in defending Ando Prime or something?

You sir are a jack-knob. I flick my thumb at you.

As for what we think the Taung should be doing, that should be left up to Rameth and Niner, and the Taung members, not others.
