Ian was rather excited for today. Only yesterday, he had been informed that a Jedi Knight had chosen him for their padawan. He wasn't told which one, just that there was one. It was difficult not to be anxious. He had waited on this day for quite some time, and now, finally, it was coming to pass.

Just as a friend of his from the Arkanian gem mine's had said many times over. 'It didn't come to stay. It came to pass.' Ian had taken comfort in that proverb so many times before, and especially of late, when he considered the length of time he had gone without a Master, someone to teach him directly, personally, the ways of the Jedi and of the Force.

He adjusted his attire, his hair, even smoothing down his leather, sleeveless robe. He was ready for this. He knew that much. It wasn't arrogance or pride. It was confidence. Confidence in himself. Calming his nerves, he closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, letting them out slowly.

Emotion, yet peace...

((OOC: You didn't state where you were positionally speaking, so I'm just going to throw it out this way))

Coruscant was not the most tranquil of worlds Tassadus had been on. It was anxious, full of unrest, teeming with life. In years past, the Order had situated itself on Ossus, which Tassadus much more preferred. He had no doubt that on Coruscant, it felt more taxing for the average Jedi to center themselves. But this was especially the case for himself, as his species was universally telepathic. But at the very least, the constant activity sharpened one's focus through need alone, and strengthen their abilities of concentration.

Tassadus engaged in floating meditation regularly, keeping himself closely attuned to the Force. He needn't eat or drink due to the unique way his species gathered sustenance, and consequently, Tassadus often spent many consecutive hours channeling the Force. But this day was different. Some time prior, the Jedi Knight had been appointed to the duty of overseeing the tutelage of a Padawan. Tassadus let his feet drop to the ground from his levitated position, and flexed his muscles, cracking several joints in the process. He remained in meditative form for extended periods of time, and as a result, his body occasionally became deprived of typical muscle contraction.

Tassadus walked down the halls of the Jedi Temple, making his way down the large decorated staircases. He always did admire the architectural atmosphere within of the Jedi Temple. It helped one's mind to escape the stark contrasting conditions existing outside the temple grounds. As Tassadus ventured into the temple courtyards, he found his apprentice adjusting his outer garb. He'd never met his Padawan in person, but he could sense his identifying attributes. Unbridled excitement, fluctuating anxiety, inner confidence - these feelings were radiating off of the Padawan.

As he approached, Tassadus heard the Padawan's thoughts echoing from his mind. He was reciting a portion of the Jedi Code, which Tassadus assumed he was quoting to put himself at ease. Looking upon him, he saw that he was quite older than the age typical for Padawans preparing to enter Knighthood, but then, Tassadus was a fully grown adult by the time he'd entered himself, so he thought little of it. He was confident the one he was looking upon was to be his apprentice, but he chose to forsake presumptuousness and inquire personally. Padawan, Ian Rusch? asked Tassadus, telepathically communicating with him.

Krath he's tall, Ian thought to himself as he couldn't help but notice an incredibly large Jedi. He must've been ten feet tall, and yeah, he was well-built. An imposing image to behold, that much was certain.

Padawan, Ian Rusch?

It took a moment for the Arkanian Offshoot to realize just who that was coming from. Once he did, it gave him a slight shock. Was this his new Master? The Jedi Knight who was to mentor him? Instructing him in both the ways of the force and of the Jedi? There was only one way to find out.

'I am he,' Rusch replied with a certain amount of confidence as he offered a light bow, bending at the waist as his torso angled slightly forward. A respectful gesture. It would take some getting use to, having to crane his neck back just so he could look his master in the face, if this was him.

'How may I serve you Master Jedi,' he further inquired, the title of Master being a sign of respect, not so much an indication of rank.

Tassadus only gazed at the Padawan before him. It was curious almost. A sickly pale white skin and white hair, while possessing crystal blue eyes. It was almost metaphoric of an embodied arctic icon. Tassadus' never seen his species before, but then, there were many species he'd yet to see in his lifetime.

Nevertheless, Tassadus was pleased with the Padawan's humility, and paid his respects back to him. Moving his right leg far behind himself, Tassadus dropped from his large standing posture to perform a meek bow before his apprentice, before rising back up. An honorable gesture, Padawan, Tassadus spoke in his warped-sounding telepathic voice, However, you are not my servant, or the servant of any one sentient. We are all humble servants to the Force above all - you and I - and our loyalties lie only within the Jedi Order.

Tassadus turned around to a large door. It was a transparent door located at the other side of the room. Tassadus began walking over to the door and glared at a panel next to it. The small lever on the panel inserted as Tassadus psychokinetically moved it, and the door opened to reveal a hall filled with large windows on its side, showing the busy city of Coruscant around it. Padawan Rusch, follow me, and we shall begin.

The Padawan took the instruction in stride. Indeed the enormous Jedi was correct. We are all servants of the Force, he thought to himself. And most certainly, their loyalties did lie within the Jedi Order.

The large being began to walk away after an incredibly humbling bow. Ian was overly impressed with this Jedi, whatever species he was, though there were many curious aspects about him. Those answers, however, would come in time. Rusch wasn't in a hurry to press for them, or even to inquire of them.

'Yes Master Jedi,' he replied, and as directed, the Arkanian Offshoot followed the much larger, much taller one into of windows it seemed, the city-planet of Coruscant quite visible and filling nigh the entirety of the view save for the horizon, and various patches of smog.

An incredible site, though in Ian's opinion, paling greatly in comparison to natural wonders, be they deserts, mountains, plains, rivers, or oceans. He much preferred the natural environment, as opposed to sentient-made/created.

Tassadus led the Padawan behind him down the corridor, until another transparent, glass-like door appeared at the end of the hall. As he approached, Tassadus raised his hand and lightly waved two of his fingers, psychokinetically opening the door. Inside was a fairly large room, which also had tall vertical windows against the wall. The wall of the other side had several panels on it, although it was for other training functions and purposes.

In the center of the room stood two cushioned stools, which were often utilized by Jedi during meditation. Personally, Tassadus preferred levitated meditation. He did enjoy the comfort of the stools, but he took more delight when he was completely attuned to the Force. Tassadus walked over to the stool and sat ontop of it in a cross-legged fashion. Padawan, sit here. Meditate with me. Clear your mind.

Of course, Tassadus was referring to the focal centering Jedi often engaged in. Most Jedi could enter deep meditation, however tutelage during deep meditation was extremely difficult for most Jedi below Knight level, as their focus was far more linear and unrefined. Tassadus closed his eyes and exhaled deeply. Because his species breathed through their skin, Tassadus' exhalation sounded akin to a deep and rumbling vibration.

Ian followed obediently behind his Jedi Master, noticing and appreciating the large one's psychokinetic abilities, delicate touches when compared to other utilizations of similar powers. He hadn't been in this room before, but then again, he was only a Padawan-learner, and there were a great many rooms within the Jedi Temple in which he had not stepped.

The Master spoke again. Well, he didn't speak, not verbally. It appeared he did not have a mouth. This rose a few other curious inquiries, but just as they arose, he had been directed to meditate and clear his mind. It would prove a bit tasking, what with all the questions crawling over his mind and the lingering anxiety and excitement of his being selected to be taken on by a Jedi for instruction.

'Yes Master,' was all he replied as he imitated the much larger being's actions and movements. Padawan Rusch crossed his own legs and clasped his right fist with his left hand, allowing his forearms to rest upon his thighs as he closed his eyes and began to relax first. Taking a few deep breaths, he let each one of them out slowly, with each exhale, doing his best to expunge the thoughts and inquiries that swirled in his mind.

It would take a few moments, but he was getting there. Slowly but surely.

Tassadus opened his glowing blue eyes before long. He'd been in deep meditation just moments before, so he had very little distracting his concentration and focus to begin with. However, he wanted to wait for his Padawan to enter a proper state of mind, or to be more precise, a proper degree of focus. Upon seeing the Padawan's success, Tassadus decided that they were ready to start the Padawan's training.

Before we formally begin, it is ideal that I evaluate your knowledge of the Jedi Code and its meaning, Tassadus said, explaining the importance, Many Padawan - younglings even - can recite the Jedi Code, sometimes even the Nine Tenents that were predessor to the Code. However, among the most common, and dangerous, stumbling blocks to a Padawan's ascension to Knighthood is their unclear or inaccurate understanding of the Jedi Code.

To begin, Padawan Rusch, recite the first Code of the Jedi, and tell me your interpretation of it. This is an interchange between us to evaluate and refine your understanding, so there is no wrong answer. Please, I implore you to speak your mind on this matter.

Ian did struggle to find his center, purging his mind of distraction. There were a lot of inquiries floating around in that mind of his, but he pushed them all aside, finally. Taking a deep breath, the Jedi instructed him to recite the Jedi Code, and to give his own interpretation. Implored to to speak his mind, the young Padawan took his time in responding.

"Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force
."

He paused for a few moments, allowing his mind the opportunity to properly formulate the answer that he wished to provide. Don't dig, just speak; he thought to himself and nodded his head slowly. Ian took a moment anyway.

'Though emotions are a part of us, we are not to let them control us. Like a yoke is to a beast of burden, we must tame and keep ourselves in check. Just as a broken yoke yields a disastrous harvest, so too do we yield disastrous results when we give in to emotion, and let them have the better of us.'

The padawan felt good about that answer. It had flowed from the heart and was not a result of over-thinking. He simply spoke. That was good.

He went on, 'Though ignorance seems to abound, you may find knowledge and wisdom within, if you only look. Do not disregard the simple or what you perceive to be the lesser, as knowledge may be found in the most obscure or unexpectant places. All is noteworthy.

'Have passion, but keep your peace. It is not wrong to be passionate about a cause or even another, yet in that passion, ensure that you are not given over to it, allowing it to ravage your logical thought, wisdom and experience. Act and move out of a tempered mind, rather than upon passionate thought and motivations.

'When the galaxy seems not a pattern, but a chaos of activity, know that there is a harmony in the ebb and flow of it all. While a certain act or occurrence may seem chaotic, there is an equal and opposite event that sets the balance aright. Harmony in motion is the grand scale of design.

'Death is a natural part of life. Without an end, the beginning and the journey is nothing. The people appreciate the artist's end result most of all, moreso than the preparation and creation of his endeavors. So it is with life. Death is not to be feared, but only the finishing touches of a fine piece of artistry, painted upon the canvas of life.'

Ian thought over his own words for a few moments. That was pretty much what he wanted to say. He hadn't really considered the Code too in-depth before, but had merely taken it at face value, not reading too much more into it than what had been explained to him.

Today though, he felt that he had delved deeper into its meaning than any explanation given to him before. He had a better understanding from his own interpretation and meditations of the heart, than the instruction given. He smiled to himself considering the thought.

Tassadus nodded discretely throughout Ian's explanation and interpretation. Even the average youngling could easily memorize and recite the Jedi Code, however it was through their understanding of it that it serves a purpose for them. Or through their lack of understanding of it that it became a hindrance and an obstacle.

A valiant effort, Padawan. You possess a gift for expression within your words. Tassadus said, closing his eyes again, Now, tell me Padawan. The Jedi are an order endorsing peace throughout the galaxy. However, we wield the Force, which can be abused as weapon far more grandiose than anything brought about by machines. The choice each Jedi must make is this - what is it a Jedi should use the Force for, and in the event where conflict is inevitable, when is it appropriate for a Jedi to act, and how should a Jedi act?

Tassadus was not trying to stumble or catch his Padawan off-guard, but he felt obligation and duty towards him as his master to observe his understanding of the Jedi Code in a situation he may be faced in. He acted to see how his Padawan would respond, if in words only, at least.

Ian thought upon the question for a few moments. He had, like many other Padawans, imagined himself in certain situations and just what he would do. Situations that a number of other Jedi Knights and Master had found themselves in. Daring challenges and brave escapes. Heroic deeds even, but the question wasn't about those times. It was about all times. Anytime. He pondered a moment longer before replying.

'A Jedi uses the Force when it compels him, and when the situation dictates. One cannot give a text book answer to such a question, thereby limiting a Jedi with words on paper and not allowing the Force and experience to guide him.

'A Jedi uses the Force for good, for protection, and for cessation of evil. Sometimes the situation dictates a certain action or outcome, and a Jedi should be willing to flow with the Force in accomplishing what is led. At all times however, a Jedi should act and operate from a mind of peace, not turmoil. From the calm within a storm, not the storm itself.

'Use of the Force is not to be abused or misused, drawing attention to one's self, or puffing up of the ego. It is a tool unto righteousness, not a toy unto folly.' The young padawan stopped and reflected upon his own words. Had he had time to prepare an entire essay, perhaps his answer would've been different, but he felt the answer he had given was as pure of an answer that could be formed from his mind, having been asked quite spontaneously, and the answer given directly.

Already, he was learning much of himself and his own thoughts and process. It was... enlightening.

Well, answered, Padawan Rusch. But speaking what is right, and doing what is right - there - that is where a Jedi displays their true understanding and maturity. Your time will come, and you will be faced with many choices on your life journey. And as your teacher, I will do my utmost to teach you how best to use your power in wisdom.

Tassadus then looked over at the series of panels on the wall opposite to the large windows. Inside one cabinet on the wall was a metal sphere, large enough to fit within the palm of a humanoid's hand. Tassadus psychokinetically opened the cabinet and lifted the sphere from it, slowly levitating in between him and Ian.

The Force is an ubiquitous power that penetrates the universe. It is all things, supersensual, binding, and above all, omnipotent. The Force surrounds all things, and the Force permeates all things. There are many aspects pertaining to the views of the Force, most notably, the Light Side of the Force, the Dark Side of the Force, the Unifying Force, and the Living Force.

The Light Side of the Force is the path all Jedi follow, and is a facet aligned with compassion, courage, healing, self-sacrifice, and benevolence. The Dark Side of the Force is not only a force we must battle against, but is also an inner demon inside of all of us we must vanquish. It is an element aligned with hatred, fear, aggression, passion, and malevolence. The Unifying Force and the Living Force are Jedi philosophies that many Jedi adopt, depending on their views.

The Unifying Force essentially embraced space and time in its entirety, focusing on the moment and relying on instinct. Many who follow the philosophy of the Unifying Force are highly prone to cryptic visionary episodes, and believe that the Force is all things. It is their belief that there is no true Dark or Light side of the Force in it of itself, and these "sides" are created by sensitives who themselves are forces of good, or forces of evil.

The Living Force dealt with the energy of living things, and was thought to be present in most living beings, surrounding and penetrating them, thus making all living things connected by it. The Living Force philosophy is far older and more commonly found among the Jedi. Jedi who followed the Living Force were mindful of the future and the possible consequences of their actions, but remained focused on the present. It is their belief that the Force exists as a power possessing aspects inherently good and evil, just as its followers do.

There are other lesser aspects as well, and you must choose what you believe as you grow in your understanding. No matter the aspect you believe, all adherents of the Force possess Force powers. Force powers are mentally-based abilities and tapped through the practitioner's willpower, and manifest as a spectrum of psionic powers, including psychokinesis, telepathy, and supernaturally enhanced physical and metaphysical perceptions. Some species, such as mine, are inherently connected to the Force, and therefore naturally Force-sensitive.

There are three aspects to Force powers that are learned; the Sense aspect, sensory powers that allow a Jedi to gather information around themselves, be it physical, emotional, Force-like, or anything else. The second aspect is Control, which modified a Jedi's physical state as they dictate. The methods of Control are taught to younglings before the others, but its powers are taught secondary to Sense. The final is Alter, which is the most difficult area to master. Alter grants a Jedi the
ability to modify the Force and redistribute its energies. Powers of the Alter area are the most commonly seen by the Jedi.

To begin in your training, we will start with powers of the Sense area. The most commonly seen power, both in the Sense area and in general, is the power of telepathy. This is a power almost every Force-sensitive is capable of. To my species, telepathy is a fundamental part of our way of life. To begin, clear your mind of any distracting thoughts, and reach out. Focus your mind, and project your thoughts to me.

Ian kept his gaze focused on the large Jedi, listening intently to his instructions. Clear your mind. Reach out. Project your thoughts. Ian wasn't entirely sure what thoughts he should project, but worked to clear his mind regardless, closing his eyes and doing his best to find center, though still, he wondered what thoughts he was to project.

Taking slower, deep breaths, the young Padawan pushed aside all thought and distraction. Initially, focusing only on his breaths, then when all distraction was pushed away, trying further to purge thought from his mind. It was a bit difficult, as he found himself coaching himself to clear his mind, and that in itself was a distraction. The coaching. He tried to cease it.

It took a bit, but he was finally able to purge his mind, though realizing such, brought a distraction. He noted that with the smallest sense of irony, then purged the thought. Reach out, he thought to himself. The Arkanian Offshoot reached out with his mind, like he'd been taught before with the basic sensory ability, only this would be different. He would try to project his thoughts.

Project his thoughts? What thoughts? Again he wondered momentarily, then decided for himself to pick them. Thoughts of curiosity about the Master Jedi's species, his name, his background, his history. He wasn't sure how well he was projecting any of this, or if it was just all coming across as basic curiosity, maybe broken bits and pieces? He wasn't sure, though he tried to keep a focused mind on each individual thought in turn, attempting to project them one at a time.

It wasn't easy.

((OOC: Really, really sorry for the late response. Two of my friends died recently, and lately, I just really haven't been in an RPing mood))

Tassadus was naturally telepathic. In fact, his entire species was. Although he could hear via his skin, his naturally read the minds of other around him. His own mind was akin to a two-way receiver. His through were constantly projected into the minds of all in his proximity, unless he willfully filtered them to an individual. However, this also made it somewhat anti-typical for him to detect another individual's telepathic projections, and sense the difference between it and his normal telepathic sensing. It wasn't so much difficult as it was against his natural inclinations. Tassadus simply had to "deafen" himself, altering the nature of his telepathic senses.

You have the proper state of mind, Padawan, but your focus is wanting, Tassadus said, briefly engaging in telepathic communication once more. For my people, telepathy is our way of life, inasmuch as a sentient being's vocal cords, nostrils, or auditory systems are to their lives. Your mind is like a gateway - you can let receive thoughts into your mind, or as it is commonly spoken, read the thoughts of others. This is the most common form. The typical sentient is capable of this, and it is especially simplistic for Force-sensitives, such as yourself.

However, sending one's thoughts is a broader concept. You must speak your thought in your mind, and direct them accordingly, like a marksman. You must have a mind cleared of distractions, focused on the cognitive message you wish to send, and know where to send your thoughts. Combine the three steps, and reach out. Speak your thoughts to mine.

OOC: I am in -no- rush to develop this character, so any time you want or desire to have away, take it. I do not want you feeling as if you owe it to me to be here for this character's development sake when that is certainly not the case. Real life comes first. Always.

Ian opened his eyes for a few brief moments, hearing the Jedi on the matter of telepathy. He nodded his head as he soaked in the words, trying to apply them and formulate the process in his own mind. Closing his eyes once again, he took a deep breath for another attempt.

Clear my mind... Clear my mind... Clear it... Wiping away the previous questions and formulations, the young Padawan took some time to purge thought, starting again from a blank canvas, or at least, as blank as he could get it.

He conjured up a vision of the Jedi Master in his mind, finding his target. He could see him fairly distinctly, almost as if he had his eyes open and were looking at him, but not quite. It was still a bit... fuzzy. Just a bit.

Sucking in his bottom lip, he bit down upon it lightly with his upper teeth as he concentrated. What did he want to project? Species. Yeah, what was his Master's species. His brow furrowed as he attempted the inquiry telepathically. What is your species Master?

The Arkanian offshoot felt successful, at least mostly. Was he though? He would soon find out.

Tassadus sat stagnant as his pupil continued his practices. Usually formally learning one's first power is the most difficult because they must discover the way to influence the Force. Many powers of the Force were accessed similarly through one's state of mind and willpower. In the midst of everything, however, Tassadus heard a quiet whisper, almost like a distant echo, that quickly became louder and louder. It took no questioning that it was Ian's telepathic call.

There... that's it. Tassadus said, communing back to his Padawan, Although I apologize, I'm unable to answer your question. My world was well aware of the galaxy around us, however we knew very little of alien species for we did not interact with them. In our culture, we do not name ourselves, as other species do, as we are one species. We foresaw no need to identify ourselves as if we were in the midst of a world filled with exotic species. Thus we entitled no name to ourselves.

We will now focus on a wide area of the Force. The sensory power of Force Sense is a power with a wide spectrum of branched abilities. Indeed, telepathy itself is merely a branch power of Force Sense. Force Sense is inherent - it cannot be learned, and it cannot be taught. It is always there. However, it can be strengthened by training and exercising the aspects of Force Sense.

As I stated earlier, Force Sense allows one to perceive another being's feelings, the future, ripples caused by momentous events in the Force, impending danger and even the presence of the Dark Side of the Force. Telepathy and Empathy are basic extensions of Sense. Empathy is a power that can only be learned instinctively, as it is an individual's personality and inner feelings that enable them to relate to the emotions of others.

The next power I seek to teach you is an ancient technique developed by the Force Sensitive Miraluka species. Force Sight is a sensory ability that allows one to see on a higher plane than normal. One can see the aura of others, the alignment, the very life-force of living things. Force Sight also enables one to peer through physical obstructions, and extend their sight beyond physical limitations. Force Sight is strengthened by continuous practice, and with it, finesse comes. For now, simply attempt to see my aura.

Close your eyes if need be - the Force will provide what is needed. See through the Force, and ignore the metal and stone around you.

Ian was further puzzled at his Master's response concerning his species. And still, he didn't know what his name was. Guess that was unimportant to a species that didn't even name their own species. Perhaps his Master didn't have a name.

He shook his head lightly, losing the thought as he began to focus on his Master's new guidance, Force Sense. The Miraluka, Force Sight, he tried to take it all in, but it was quite a sum of knowledge and learning.

Closing his eyes as suggested, the padawan tried to see through the force. He focused once again upon his Master, seeing him in his mind, but finding no aura, glow, or whatever it was he was suppose to see.

Taking a deep breath, Ian tried once again to purge his mind, clearing it of all obstruction and thought. It took a few moments as he focused on the Force.

Once again, he reached out with the Force, as best as he could, trying to call upon it to help him see, as his Master had directed. Still though, the image of his Master was conjured up within his mind, but no aura or glow once again.

This was proving... difficult. Perhaps he was doing it wrong.

Purging the image of his alien Master, the young padawan once again cleared his mind, this time meditating upon the idea of Force Sight, rather than his Master.

See with the Force, -through- the Force, he thought to himself. It began to happen. Something. Though it wasn't clear in his mind, in front of him, where his Master was, the faintest orb-like aura of blue was forming. It wasn't very well defined at all, and in fact, was hardly there.

But it was there. Rusch got a bit excited at the thought of achieving the power, and just like that, the image faded into nothing. He had lost it...

Tassadus could not tell if Ian was achieving any success. Unlike telepathy, he could not inform Ian if he was doing it right. It was simply one of those things - if he was doing it right, he'd know it. Tassadus did, however, keenly observe his Padawan. Initially, his face began constricting, a common facial gesture among Humanoid species denoting an inner focus. His body and mind became tense, although as time went, Tassadus could see Ian's perception changing, as if he was seeing something new for the first time. Then, his spirit - his enthusiasm - fell.

I sense you are... dissatisfied, Padawan. Tassadus said, relating to his apprentice, It is not an especially easy ability to access. Unlike the Miraluka, it is an unnatural perception for sentient and non-sentient species' who already possess the ability to perceive the physical world. When I was a Padawan myself, first learning this power, it was as if I was trying to see through the eye of one that was blind. At first, it may be difficult to achieve, and even more so to maintain, but it is possible through practice, effort, and concentration.

Padawan, try it once more. You will see that once you discover the proper path, the proper method yourself, it will not be a power whose comprehension is lost to you. Tassadus could see that Ian had at least taken the first step, which was admirable. It was natural that viewing things on an astral plane was abnormal for ones who viewed matters on a physical one.

Ian gave a somewhat exasperated long sigh as he pushed his frustration out of his mind. Focus. He needed to stay focused. Getting all excited over learning a power would only thwart his attempt to further learn and practice it.

He tried to remain calm. Still the sea of thought that was his mind. See through the force...

The young padawan took a deep breath, long and slow in, out easily through the nose, his thoughts and distractions flowing out with his breath. A few more relaxed breaths, just easing, soothing himself, clearing his mind fully.

If it took this much effort all the time to use the force, then he wondered briefly at how the masters could do so. Were their minds blank all the time?

He shook his head lightly, biting on his lower lip. He had let himself fall prey to distraction once again. Trying not to let disappointment seep in, he purged his mind once again and relaxed, focusing himself.

See through the force. Feel it...

The faint blue orb was back, where his master was in his mind. Keeping calm, he continued to attempt to focus on the orb-like shape, aura, whatever it was. See...

He began to receive some better definition, but nothing like the clarity of physical sight. He wondered briefly it this was as good as it got?

Distraction...

The aura began to fade. Catching himself, Ian re-focused his mind and was able to save it before it dissipated into nothingness. The blue aura was back, more fully developed as he had seen it only moments ago.

He tried to get a better definition, to draw clarity to it...

Force Sight was not a power visible Tassadus could not see, but he could sense the Force stirring inside of Ian. The effort of his precise focus was visible, and showed on his face, in his eyes. He was tiring himself, but no fruitage could be achieved without adequate effort.

What do you see, Padawan. Asked Tassadus. Force Sight manifests slightly differently for individuals. Everyone see auras in different lights, but the specific colors sometimes differed. If Ian saw what he was suppose to see, the manifested Force inside a lifeform, he'd know what Tassadus meant by asking him what he saw.
