I'm new (Da Ba Dee Da Ba Die)

To the site, anyway. I have been doing writing RPs like this for a few years now, though I cannot say it has ever been something I have shown any considerable prowess in. Star Wars I have known and loved since I was very young, especially the Jedi series of books by Jude Watson and the few X-wing novels I managed to find in the school library back in elementary school. I was and remain one of the seemingly few people who actually thought Attack of the Clones was a decent movie. After Revenge of the Sith came out and all the hype died down I gradually lost most of my interest in Star Wars stuff, more or less devoting myself to the worship of a different childhood obsession, though the newer Clone Wars animation was better than I expected. I continue to try to forget the The Force Awakens exists, though Rogue One looks nice.

Anyway, I'm here now. I already know Kiser from another RP site, and in a way he was the one to bring me here, as I continue to pursue him to the ends of the earth. I spend most of my time either sulking over the poor life choices I continue to make or staring longingly at my beloved Mosin 91/30, which leaves me plenty of time to theoretically be used for writing things here. Time will tell if that should be the case.

So, that's pretty much me. I'm a little disoriented when it comes to this site and it's canon or the new SW canon in general, so I don't imagine I'll be accomplishing anything until I can figure out what's going on, but so far things look pretty cool. The activity is definitely a plus, very welcome change from the sites I've written on before.

Well, I guess one big non-plot related thing I'm wondering about is just how fast the PvP scene here would chew up and spit out any one of the trademark unintentionally weak and incompetent characters I always seem to make, since PvP seems pretty big here and the death penalty is fully in play. And dead characters don't tell very interesting stories, most of the time. I think there was some old pirate saying along the same lines but for the life of me I can't seem to recall it.

Anyhow, that's one thing. I see there's a bunch of FAQ and plot links that I'll go check out in the morning, and then I'll probably have more questions.

As for thine question, I wouldn't be too sure as to what might be considered harrowing PvP to you. So, basing from my own experience, I'll just say it tends to get a tad brutal. OOCly drama or arguments... they happen. It's commonplace. But as for actual PvP writing, I guess it really varies by member.

Just, avoid @Sreeya. At all costs. Take my word for it.

So far the people here are grand and answer a lot of your questions, I'm in the same boat I've only watched all the movies over a thousand Times, so this has been a new experience for me.

I haven't really started an rp yet, so people haven't had an idea if it will be any good yet.I'm hoping for the latter lol.

I think my days with R:STC are long gone now, sorry to say, though there was a time that I once controlled what was probably the largest group of any sort dedicated to the series, with thousands (okay, 2000) of members and all that entails.

I'll not go into details, but that time has long passed and I left something of a disgrace.

Still a great show, in my mind. One of these days I will again lobby for the release of it's soundtrack, assuming anybody has any idea who owns the rights anymore.

With the Pvp thing.. it only really works well if you have communication with the members you're rping with. Everything works so much better and smoother if you kinda know what's going on ahead of time.
