ARBITRATING A FALL
''Manaan is in turmoil, with the peace we have enjoyed these past few years under threat by the encroaching Sith Empire. We must act, we must resolve this situation before it escalates!'' - Chief Justice Selkar
Long having enjoyed, and some would say grown complacent during, the years of peace the planet supply of Kolto has ensured, the People of Manaan face a terrible crisis. With a Sith War Fleet massing on the boarder to the their space, the constituent members of the Manaan Alliance look to the Ahto City Court for Guidance, praying they can provide a solution to this crisis. In response to the Sith Fleets arrival, and the intelligence the Authorities have gathered, the High Court has called an emergency hearing to discuss what must be done. Some of the more Conservative and some would say Sith Aligned Judges feel that the panic is all for nothing, and the Sith threat is simply a ruse by external forces to break up the Manaan Alliance, with some taking the threat seriously.
The first meeting of the Court is due to take place in a few days, and five judges shall be in attendance, watched by the people of Manaan and the Alliance, and may decide the fate of their oceanic world.

This thread will take place a few weeks before the Sith Attack, and for those of you who have played KOTOR, this may interest you. The Courts of Ahto City are meeting to discuss their response, and the validity of the Sith Threat. Naturally, the thread will have a predetermined ending, with the Sith invading regardless of the Courts Decision, however the Court will possibly influence the effect the attack has on the people of Manaan, for example, are the exterminated, subjugated, or do they ally with the Sith when the tide of battle turns against them? For this thread, we will need 5 NPC'ers (of which I shall be one) to take on the judges listed below, as well as a Sith Ambassador (who can be a player) and a Hutt Ambassador (who can be a player).
The Judges
Justice Selkar - Convinced the Sith will invade, but feels an agreement can be reached. Played by Nor'baal.
Justice Koto - A Conservative who feels the entire invasion is simply a military exercise.
Justice Morga - A Conservative who feels the entire invasion is being funded by the Cartel to break up the monopoly of Manaan.
Justice Shasa - Convinced that the Sith will invade, and wants to ally the planet to them, seeing them as the only progressive power in the Galaxy.
Justice Chatyl - Feels the Sith will invade, and that Manaan should fight to the bitter end.
Justice Selkar - Convinced the Sith will invade, but feels an agreement can be reached. Played by Nor'baal.

This thread will explore the non-violent side of the war, the preamble before an invasion. Sort of like the talks that go on, the failed negotiations that take place prior to a war!
