[Interest Check] Force Church/Religion-Like Faction (Rogue One Spoilers)

In Rogue One, Lucasfilm introduces an ancient order known as the Guardians of the Whills. Characters Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus were members of this order until the Temple of the Whills and the Holy City on Jedha was destroyed. I want to create, or I guess in the case of the story recreate or revive, the Guardians of the Whills. What I took from Rogue One, was that they had force sensitives and non-force sensitive members, so the faction would be open to any person who wanted to join. It would be primarily based in the Temple of the Whills in the Holy City on Jedha, with members scattered all over the Galaxy.

colour me interested. However what would ther stance be on Sith/Jedi? Are they neutral or allied with someone? What would be the core of said religion? :)

If it were just me, I'd hold off on doing something like this until we actually know more about the group from canon itself. As it is we really have nothing but a name, a member, and a former member...and nothing much else.
