((OOC: In preparation for the time shift, I thought it would be good to show what the characters do, something to end on.))

Santoro stood solemnly in front of the Phoenix, looking out the open bay doors. The hangar was empty save for the red ship, and silent... Which was comforting and awkward at the same time for Santoro. Hoppy rolled down the ramp and up to it's owner, tweedling a question. The Corellian looked down at the droid and smiled.

It had been a while since he came back into the galaxy. It was long ago that he'd signed up for the Midnight Men, and it was too long since he'd been home. He missed Tyrena, but most of all he missed... Peace.

"You know, ever since I was born I've been raised as a warrior. My entire life I've been fighting, and my entire life I've been hating it." He let out a long sigh, and ran a hand through his hair.

"The Midnight Men had the right idea, I think, but they lost it somewhere along the way. Theres a fine line between maintaining justice and taking control, and they've crossed it."
He wobbled a little, and remembered he had left his cane on board. He smiled to himself.

When did I become an old man? He shook his head, and looked back to Hoppy.

"Is everything on board?" After an affirmative whistle, he nodded, and headed up the ramp. A minute later, he came down with his cane.

"Wait on the ship... I'll be back in a few minutes."

He headed to Adriana's room, slowly. Finally, he knocked on the door.

Adriana opened the door, slowly, and looked up at him. She looked like she had been sleeping, but she had not.

"Yes?"

Suddenly, Santoro was at a loss for words.

"I, uh.. Well.. Do.. Um... Hey." He smiled, and stood somewhat sheepishly. He took a deep breath, composing himself.

"I can't stay here anymore... Theres too much going on to stay here and do the wrong thing in the name of right. My retirement note is on The Midnight Man's desk. I.. Er..." He took another shaky breath. His heart was pounding.

"Will you come with me?"

Adriana was in shock. She was not expecting this at all. She just looked at him then bit her lip. He was right about the Midnight Men and she needed some time away to think about what she had gone through.

"Yes, I will"

She looked down then back up at him.

"Should I tell Kyle?"

Santoro was flushed with relief, and it was obvious. His worried look turned into a smile, and his body relaxed. He nodded.

"Yeah, it'd be best if he didn't come looking for us... The Phoenix is prepped, so grab your stuff."

Ruukil walked into the hanger, he'd been wandering because there wasn't much to do. That, is Santoro's ship...wonder where he's off to. Better wish the guy well. Ruukil leaned up against the hanger wall and slid down. He had a small blaster with him as well as his small blade.

Adriana nodded and went to pack up her stuff. She did not have much so it did not take long.

She walked down the hallway to Kyle's office and knocked on the door.

Santoro waited impatiently for a few seconds, and then strode forward, pressing in the combination for the door. It slid open quietly. He smiled, and looked to Adriana.

"Didn't think I waited around to say goodbye, did you?"

Kyle had just finished reading Santoro's letter when he had heard the knock on the door and then it slide open. It was a shame that Santoro had to leave, but Kyle understood. The jedi had to go where the jedi had to go, but it would be hard to find a replacement for him.

Looking up from the letter he saw none other then Santoro and Adriana trying enter the room. He could only imagine what the two of them were up to know, but didn't really matter he was thinking of retiring anyways. Finally opening his mouth he said, "Come in"

Santoro stood at the door, not wanting to strain himself further by walking.

"Well.. We're both going now."
