Jakin Faber vs. Jace Kyjar -- First Blood, Korriban

[Dexington]

*Jace had entered this tournament on the grounds that he just wanted to test his battle prowess with people from across the galaxy. It seemed like a good time to him, but that was before he read all the rules. Random stipulations, random areas. He didn't like the fact that he was on Korriban, or the fact that it was a first blood match, or the fact that he would be facing a fellow Jedi Padawan. He didn't want to hurt a Jedi.

But, here he was anyway, standing in the valley that just outlooked the Sith Academy on Korriban. He waited to meet this Jakin Faber. He had never seen him before, so it could be an interesting fight.*

 

[Astra de Aurora]

She had taken off the customary tunic and robes a Jedi Padawan must wear and was now strutting lazily towards the arena with her piratical gear. Her tricorn was tipped low over her face instinctively, to give the impression that she was a male. Even after becoming a Jedi she hadn't lost the habit. She wouldn't fight with a lightsaber, the lightness of the weapon - no, the tool - was too strange, too unfamiliar.

Jakin would be fighting the way she had grown up and learned in the military. She was armed with her vibroblade, blasters, and knife. Let the games begin.

"'Ello mate!" she called out gruffly to her opponent, a fellow Padawan. "Shall we begin?"

 

[Dexington]

*Jace was suprised when he heard the voice. Sounded like a girl pretending to be a guy. Looked like it too. Oh well. He saw that she was wielding a vibroblade and he had done the same, taking it out of its sheat and holding it ready in front of him. He had a plan.*

"Of course."

*With that, Jace ran forward a little bit to make it look like he was charging her, but then stopped and threw his vibroblade as hard as he could at her, hoping that he could end the match quickly.*

 

[Astra de Aurora]

Upon seeing him charge at her, she unsheathed her own vibroblade and dagger, pushing the tricorn out of her eyes. She threw up her arm and her vibroblade to shield her from his attack, willing the Force to push away the charging figure to the side. However, her opponent had thrown the weapon at her so the Force pushed that instead.

After lowering her weapons, Jakin walked forwards arms at her side. Her mind was alert and prepared for the battle. Her walk quickened into a run and upon nearing him, she slashed at his side with her left hand - the one the held the dagger. She too wished the battle would end quickly.

 

[Dexington]

*Jace spun to the right so as to avoid the attack with the dagger and get closer to his own vibroblade at the same time. He then called it back into his hand using the force and in one quick and fluent motion, went for a slash at Jakin's left arm, the one holding the dagger. He thought for a moment how much fun this was.*

 

[Astra de Aurora]

While slashing, Jakin threw herself to the ground, seeing the vibroblade rush towards its original owner. She kicked out frantically at his legs before somersaulting. She stood, turned around, and attacked him once more, this time with her virboblade. The ex-Pirate called upon the Force to hasten her movements and let out a flurry of attacks with her weapon at her opponent.

*Jace had just jumped upwards when seeing Jakin kick at his legs, narrowly missing, but was not grounded in time to focus himself on the coming attacks. He was able to stop two, then dodge another which slit down his robes, then forced himself to jump backwards as he landed so he would not lose the match. Attacking outright was clearly not doing anything.

He took the time to view his surroundings, broken pillars were mounted everywhere in the middle of the valley and the tombs of the Sith Lords had been sealed. Looking back at the broken pillars, he picked up a piece that was lying on the ground with the force and hurled it at Jakin.*
