Jedi Temple on Tython

An architectural wonder located within the treacherously dangerous galactic Deep Core, on the almost mythical Jedi homeworld of Tython, the Tythonian Jedi Temple has since become the foremost headquarters of the Jedi Order in the place of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the transition of which occurred at some point in time between the fall of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Krayt, and the current galactic day. Located at the peak of a series of valleys overlooking dozens of rivers channeling through the chasms and vales, the Tythonian Jedi Temple is built both atop and into the mountain side, and as a structure, serves as both the center of Jedi affairs and the location of the High Jedi Council.

The Tythonian Jedi Temple serves multiple purposes for the Jedi Order which the Coruscant Jedi Temple could not; located within the gravitational effects of the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy, the world of Tython itself provided a safe haven from the rest of the greater galaxy. Antimatter particles and collisional impacts of densely compacted and massively clustered celestial bodies, novas, and other cosmic events makes travel to Tython, and much of the Deep Core itself, virtually non-navigational for anyone without a Force-enhanced awareness. In addition, the reclaiming of the land that bore the foundations of the Jedi Order, the lush forests and teeming life forms engulfing the serene atmosphere of the planet permitted the Jedi to more deeply return to their roots and center themselves with the Force, in opposition to the technological terrain of the former world.

Like the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the Tythonian Jedi Temple possesses various chambers within, such as its own Jedi Archives, the information therein was derived from the Temple on Coruscant, holographic planetarium, High Council chamber rooms, and sparring and training arenas.
