DESCRIPTION
The Kazellis-class freighter is a rare antique freighter that was manufactured by the Kazellis Corporation, which was based in the Kathol sector. Though they had a promising design with a number of advanced features, the planet on which the Kazellis Corporation was based underwent political and military upheaval around the end of the Galactic Civil War, prematurely ending production. The company's eponymous freighter has lived on in the hands of enthusiasts and collectors, however, and recently the famous Rekklemat Products corporation has resumed limited production of the Kazellis using original schematics.

The Kazellis-class freighter is an elegant, crescent-shaped design with an extended central cockpit, broadly resembling the starbird sigil used by the Rebel Alliance, New Republic and Resistance. The ship is flown by a crew of 2, and can seat 3 passengers. Cargo capacity is 100 tons, with consumables for up to 2 months in space. Armament consists of 2 single medium laser turrets, plus a medium deflector shield. The Kazellis is faster at sublight speeds than many of its contemporaries, able to reach 60 MGLT, and boasts a class 2 hyperdrive.

LEGALITY
Legal. Light freighters such as the Kazellis are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems.

INTENT
To create a standard civilian transport.
