History
Keywork Engineering Systems (KES) was originally formed as a front for the mysteries and vastly unknown Order of the Keywork. Prior to the Unification Wars the Order of the Keywork was publicly known. They were originally formed to protect the galaxy from Force Users. Believing that the arrogance and ignorance of the Jedi Order and their mission for detachment and peace was unsustainable, and the hatred and anger of the Sith was destructive, the Order of the Keywork was formed. Their mission was to recruit the best and brightest Force-Sensitive individuals that they could, and teach them to harness and use the force, while remaining neutral to it.

Upon the closing of the Unification Wars, public opinion turned against the Order fueled by the Jedi order and the Sith order, the Jedi disgusted by the neutrality of the Order, and the Sith seeing them as a serious threat. As a result the The Order, taking its Key Entities with it, went underground for the most part. The Order moved all of its assets to the Sirius Multi-Solar System, its original home on the fringes of the Unknown Regions, in order to avoid attention of the Sith and Jedi orders. Around 200 BBY they began operating under the masquerade of Keywork Engineering Systems (KES), honing and perfecting their engineering designs and practices to support their clandestine operations, as well as excercising their financial capabilities. Largely ignoring the Sith Wars, Clone Wars, or Galactic Civil War, KES remained neutral and out of sight. Slowly, they began to send Key Entities and agents of the Company into the rest of the Galaxy in an attempt to influence the political atmosphere, and other Galactic Events.

A couple of years ago KES revealed itself to the Galaxy, though entirely as the commercial conglomerate of an Engineering Corporation, Private Military Company, and Private Naval Force. The Order of the Keywork was still very active however, representing the core administration of the corporation and ultimately calling the shots. Still with the aspiration to recruit Force Sensitives and train them, the KES has also adopted a political agenda of diplomatic alignment and Imperial subversion. Recently the KES combat-based subsidiaries forces have been deployed to Galactic battles such as the Battle of Naboo. The Company is in the practice of hiring independent mercenaries to work in their Military division, and has recently made alliances with the likes of the Mandalorian Clan Renelo.

KES is anti-Imperium and Pro-Rebellion. While a more historic opinion of the KES was the unsustainability of the Jedi Order, a more modern opinion held by the corporation is that of an alliance with the Jedi. Still holding the belief that their method is unsustainable, the KES also recognizes the Jedi as a powerful force, and one needed to overthrow the Imperium. They generally regard the Jedi’s mission as noble, however still ignorant and unsustainable. None of this, however, is publicly expressed as the corporation publicly supports the Jedi.

The Order of the Keywork, and in turn the KES, occupied the planet of Sirius Primaris, working closely with the planetary government to execute their manufacturing and training. After the Battle of Sirius Primaris in which Clan Renelo of the Mandalorians lead a Mandalorian/Hutt coalition the KES lost all facilities on or around Sirius Prmaris, including former headquarters Prometheus Station, and the fleet flagship, Gravity's Union. All key company and order personnel were able to escape with the exception of the Engineering department's board of directors. After the battle the KES whereabouts are currently unknown.

After the embarrassing defeat at Sirius Primaris the KES entered a two century long indentured servitude to Hutt Clan Vesajilic in exchange for the Hutt clan paying their bounty and providing them with assets and work. After finding out that clan Vesajilic intended to enslave them, the KES has elected to betray the Vesajilics and run from them. They established TF - 85 on Imynusoph and have run there in secrecy.

The Corporate Front
Most recently, KES received a crippling defeat during the battle of Naboo that resulted in the loss of one of their Core Entities, as well as a majority of their Naval fleet. KES has now largely stepped back as a corporate front, while The Order has revealed itself in its officialness. Now admitting to the ruse of KES, the Company is prepared to act as a fabrication and production asset to the Order. Security operations are being repurposed as combat support for Key Entities, and the objectives of the Order and the Company are shifting towards armed conflict in support of the Rebellion, despite the tense relationship regarding the Hutt Cartel.

The Company was unable to get clearance to construct Hephaestus Station near Daedalus, but is able to maintain their Sirius Primaris facilities, which will prove to be invaluable assets in their efforts to become capable of self-sufficiency. The apartment complexes and offices of the Company on DSC Daedalus are being maintained in order to make sure the company has room to grow before it has to make major investments. During the battle of Sirius Primaris KES lost all facilities on or around Sirius Primaris including the sole company manufacturing station, Prometheus Station.

The Order of the Keywork
There were originally three. The Jedi Order, the Sith Order, and the Order of the Keywork. The Jedi, striving for peace, and mandating detachment and a strict use of the Light Side of the Force. The Sith believed in hatred, anger, and control - removing free will from those they ruled along with an embrace to the Dark Side of the Force. The Order of the Keywork believed in a neutral view on the force, embracing niether side as light or dark, but instead a unified Force to be used to positively benefit the galaxy. In essence, The Order used both sides, Dark and Light, but viewed it all as one entity.

Before the time of the Old Republic the other two orders engaged in war, with the Jedi coming out on top and the Sith hiding in the shadows. However both were still active, and both hated the third order, the Order of the Keywork. The Jedi openly attacked The Order apprehending or killing any of the Key Entities they could find, considering them to be as bad as a Sith. This, however, was kept secret from public attention and Republic propaganda painted The Order as an ally of the Sith. The Jedi regarded them as apathetic and dangerous due to their views of The Force and how they could utilize Dark Side powers. Meanwhile the Sith regarded The Order with disgust due to the threat they posed to the Sith in their use of the Light Side.

The Order uses KES as a means of production, fabrication, and combat support, though it has been greatly diminished in its strength due to Galactic Events over the past few months.

The order has mostly been put on hold, due to the current disarray in the ranks of the KES. They still operate as a council, but are mostly security personnel and advisors to Admiral Trane. As such, they take a back seat unless it is for combat.

Beliefs of The Order
The Order believes in a very neutral view on the force. As opposed to viewing it with two halves, they view it as a holy body. The Order teaches their members to harness the entire strength of the force and to use it to positively influence the galaxy. Their true beliefs are to side with neither the Jedi or Sith, believing the Jedi are arrogant and unsustainable, and the Sith are destructive and dangerous. More recently the Order has embraced the idea of an alliance with the Jedi, knowing they are necessary to overthrow the Sith Imperium. The Order’s only real beliefs, again, are to positively change the galaxy through disaster relief, balancing the force (and truly balancing, not just stacking it with Sith or Jedi), and bringing around true peace.

Recently they’ve taken upon themselves to fulfill their mysterious political agenda. The leader of this Order, an individual known simply as Mother Superior, is the Grand Mistress, her agenda mysterious to all. Her ambition recently got the former CEO Claudio Kilgannon killed by the Hutts, and resulted in a Hutt Blacklisting of the conglomerate. For the most part (as far as anyone is aware), the intended end result of The Order’s mission is to be able to bring a neutral faction back to the Force, being able to show those caught in the crossfire how to defend themselves from the conflicts of both the Jedi and the Sith, and this cannot be accomplished without allies.

Key Entities
Key Entities are members of the Order of the Keywork. They are much like the constituent members of the Jedi Order or the Sith Imperium, but for this particular group. The oldest and wisest form a council of sorts that runs the KESS. Most Key Entities come from varying backgrounds, perhaps Force-prospects or former Jedi or Sith that saw the error of their ways. Key Entities do operate openly in the galaxy and occasionally do refer to themselves as Key Entities. This is because it has been so long since the disappearance of the Order of the Keywork that neither Jedi nor Sith remembers their existence. Officially Key Entities are a special branch of Aegis Security Operations. Key Entities use whatever weaponry they choose, with no requirement to use a lightsaber. They are broken down into 3 main skill levels and no particular specialisation, as they are capable of matching their respective equivalents in skill.

> Time Consumer Key Entity - Mainly equivalent to a Jedi Padawan or Sith Acolyte, their title is actually an inside joke amongst the company, as these individuals are rather time consuming to train.

> Velorium Camper Key Entity - Equating to Sith Crusaders or Jedi Knights, Velorium Campers are named as such due to their tendency to "camp" at their rank, many never progressing past these abilities (understandably).

> Afterman Key Entity - Sometimes considered no more than myths, Aftermans (yes, that is the plurality of the title) are extremely rare. They are typically Key Entities of extreme aptitude and talent, capable of matching Jedi Master or Sith Masters. Only 2 are known to exist (also, both are NPCs, so you won't have to worry about them messing with your thingies IC)

The Core Entities
For nearly a thousand years there have been progenated batches of individuals that kept The Order alive during its darkest times. Always being 5 in number, the Core Entities are sterile reproductions of those before them. They are not clones, but they are created through a progenation process from their predecessors. These Core Entities are produced in batches and planted into varying life situations to produce a desired result. After reaching the desired maturation level, the Order then find a way to pick them up. Once acquired and trained, they undergo biological manipulation in KES labs. Their molecular structure is changed to prevent decomposition from setting in until administered with a decomposing agent. This is achieved by implanting the body with a homeostatic-monitor. This measures their vitals and is able to tell when vitals have been flat long enough to ensure that the Core Entity is truly dead. Once it confirms their death the homeostatic-monitor releases a number of preserving chemicals that inhibit decomposition for up to three months.

All of this is because the Core Entity's body is needed after death for a process known as Key Entity Extraction. The Order is capable of removing the Core Entity’s force power and presence from their body, and use it to progenate a new Core Entity. This process, however, is only capable of occurring in a batch format with a new batch of Core Entities being created. The presence of deceased Entities is removed from their body where it can linger beforehand for as long as 3 months (though in the case of the Extraction of Vic, The Butcher’s predecessor, the body of the former Core Entity was not recovered until 11 months after death resulting in his sick, sadistic nature). These batches are interconnected when they are implanted and share a sort of meld. They can feel each other’s emotions and pain should they choose to. It is also necessary that all surviving members of a batch are present for extraction, so as to safely stabilize the Force presence during the process. Core Entities are only typically referred to as such when Extraction has to be performed, otherwise they simply identify as normal Key Entities.

The original batch was formed from a captured child during the height of the first Galactic Empire under Palpatine. The half-Chiss/half-Human child was named Liliana Skirata, and she was considered an abomination by many, being born unnaturally. Events transpired that resulted in her genetic stock being manipulated and progenated from.

KES Personnel:

We have a thread up detailing our activities at our new HQ, TF-85. Feel free to join in on this however you feel like it. You may use it as a social thread for your character, you may use it for character building, or for building the larger KES story. I will be conducting posts there to detail our new situation.

Influx of funds explained as this:

Starting Balance: 60 Million.
KES cleans out warehouse assets: +6 Million Credits
KES Sells the lease on apartment block and warehouse block: +10 Million Credits (No the KES does not own these facilities, but we do have a lease on a large connected block, which is more valuable than individual seperated apartments and warehouses. Should we release the lease, this would cause them to most likely be broken up to the first buyer, but by selling the rights to the lease to the highest bidder we allow another interested party to have the entire block in its entirety. We are not selling the apartments, just the name on the lease.)
KES Strikes a deal with Dignitary Voggle Yaako for "security": + 1 Million Credits Monthly
Ending Balance (so far): 77 Million Credits

As far as any concerns regarding the legitimacy of the NPCs in quesetion, the pirates and the Neimoidians are both mentioned in the Imynusoph write up. I contacted The Duke, the creater of Imynusoph about interactions between those parties and the KES:

I'd like to point out you didn't take into account your expenses for your new base. I'd also say that the credit influx is very flimsy considering it was established in two posts, each done by you.

@Green Ranger
If you have a problem with me writing the posts, I can gladly backtrack and have another member control the NPCs, the result will be the same considering we have the planetary creator's permission to use the NPCs "as you will." The facility is almost entirely prefab and tunnels. Prefabs would have been available to KES already, engineering corp and all, and price of hollowing tunnels is negligible.

My problem is just the general lack of effort in the creation of your new base. It took two posts in a thread to get your new income, which is way more than would actually be given if any, and you're already trying to use that as justification to make a new space station. You mentioned the facility as being there, but you didn't spend any threads actually making it, meaning you basically pulled it out of nowhere. @The Duke 's permission doesn't extend to godmodding.

Alrighty.

I did not RP the construction. I did mention ICly other places that this place was being built, but I did not RP the architects building it. I would ask you to show me where you've ever done that for any of your bases.

I didn't Godmode, but sure, I'll tone back the amount they're paying us, I did make it a bit high.

All of our bases where established, as well as me doing things that where even unnecessary. Each base we acquire has one or multiple coresponding missions. Even one of our original bases when we started the group I role played out finding. And those aren't required to be founded in thread.

Then exactly: "those aren't required". Our facuon was practically in limbo and this facility was needed quickly, OOC and ic. We went through all the proper channels for approval.

Not required "for the Original Bases". You'll note I said I do missions for each base We get.

You retroactively created a facility you just so happen to need and said it was created before the events of Sirius Primaris without spending any time or resources developing or creating it. That is God modding.

Trane fixed a cold gaze on Cambria "We're heading back to Daedalus." he returned his gaze to straight ahead. Cutting off her next question before she could ask it he said "We'll be liquidating all assets, selling them, and moving. I'm having a facility prepared for us.
IC mentions of creating the base, during a KES mission.

IC mentions of creating the base, during a KES mission.

Two points:
1. Then it's awfully incredibly how you built that without any resources.

2. Again, lazy. In one post you established an entire base.

But this is pointless. I'll tag @Green Ranger here again, and if he sees fault in it, fine, if not, fine.
