I just got my January issue of Game Informer and inside at the January calendar on the 26th it says Knights of the Old Republic #1 and has a picture illustrated. It looks like a cartoon or possibly a comic image. Anyone know anything about this?

It was a comic book series before it ever became a game

Might be the cartoon then. I can't tell much from what's in this calendar. I'm checking the magazine for more info and will see what else it says.

Knights of the Old Republic is a really old comic book series, they're pretty valuable nowadays

The comics are very different from the game, if I remember correctly... read one once, something to do with Exar Kun... *shrug*

They were a collection of stories of many different Jedi and Darl Jedi, the storyline has almost nothing to do with the actual game, you are correct Shara, like always lol

kk, Leave this here for a comic book professional

Knights of he old republic was a ashcan comic series done my John Miller, though was a very short series..
however inter was a single comic based off the game, the time between the first and second game that appeared in Star Wars Tales #23

This is NOT to be confused with
Tales of the Jedi
Golden Age of the Sith
Star Wars Tales

Which were produced by Dark Horse comics, and mainly followed Ulic Qel-Droma, Nomi sunrider, Exar Kun Etc

nothing else has been offically sanctioned, there IS a really well respected manga artiest who did a KOTOR series of images, however this is NOT offically licensed, and is nothing more than fan art.

Im sure you have, but thats what ashcan means, trial run, limited distrobution

as far as a ful blown long lived series, NO Dark Horse never released a full fledged series, however opted to use small stories around that era for tales 23

the Knights of the old republic comic that was released in limited number did not have anything to do with the game series, save for the title, era, and common historical events * Ie Mandalorian wars*

That's what it is. The Jedi on the cover is the guy in this picture. Looks like they just put an image from the #1 comics in. Got my hopes up...damn...I need to see if I can find those. Unless they are re-releasing them....no clue. Nothing else was said in the magazine.

If they are Dark Horse has made NO mention of it in the artiest comunity,, and we are typically told months before the public is
