Just like their first embrace, back on Lothal in the belfry of that crickety bell tower, just like holding hands the entire shuttle ride here, this just felt right. It was one of those things that Shaw couldn't put into words but that he just knew deep down was meant to be. A pleasant tingling ran the length of his entire body.

Shaw caught Prani's gaze and smiled. "Mmhmm. That's right. We're all booed up," he hummed, brown eyes roaming over each soft, sun kissed feature of her face. He didn't care what that ignorant saleswoman back on Listehol had said. Prani's face was perfect. "Which makes me the luckiest guy in the world." He shook his head. "Scratch that. I'm the luckiest guy in the galaxy." It wasn't open for debate.

The moment her hand brushed against his jawline Shaw shuddered involuntarily. It was uncertain but tender, a caress that had him leaning into her touch and longing for more. He thought back to that day on the canoe, when her fingers had brushed against his while showing him how to play chords on the hallikset. But this time was better, even if it didn't last as long and left Shaw with an ache in the pit of his stomach. This time she touched him just because she wanted to. It made all the difference.

"Good," was his breathy response as soon as she pulled away to get more comfortable. Good in more ways than one he supposed because if she hadn't pulled away when she had he would have just kept leaning in. "Because I wasn't going to." He had no intention of letting her go so soon, not now that everything was out in the open and they had finally broken down all the walls they had put up. The sun would set and their first date would be over soon enough. He didn't want to rush through one moment of it, particularly those moments when he got to hold her.

Settled in with her back to his chest, Shaw had never felt more relaxed and yet simultaneously awake and alert. He was aware of everything—everything about Prani anyway. Every little fidget, every little breath she took in, every time the wind tugged on one of her curls. He didn't miss any of it, brown eyes wide and glowing as he held her tight and rested his head against the side of hers.

One hand's fingers ran over the fabric of her shoulder cut sleeves. Shaw still couldn't believe that Prani had made her entire outfit. Just a whole outfit from scratch! He wouldn't have even known where to begin. There seemed to be no end to her talents. All of which she kept hidden before dropping them on you casually like they were no big deal.

They watched the sunset together, and then they watched the first stars begin to appear in the sky overhead. Down below the lake reflected the different colors of the LARPers' training lightsabers. Shaw nuzzled the side of Prani's head and smiled, "You just let me know when you're ready for me to take you home, okay?" He wasn't sure he had the willpower to start the commute back to the temple until it was her idea. @Sreeya
